This paper is about the composition and function of boards of social enterprises. A social enterprise can be defined as a company, which is founded by users or external stakeholder in order to create jobs (or a work place), a meaning in live or to further integration. One tries to achieve this goal by a business activity and/or subsidies and/or neighbourhood projects. The amount of social enterprises grew steadily after the restructuring of social welfare in Sweden since the 1980. Alternative forms of welfare ? such as a social enterprise ? will probably grow further in importance.

Den utbildningspolitiska intentionen i Sverige har länge präglats av en stark ambition att "överbrygga" klyftan mellan de teoretiska och praktiska gymnasieutbildningarna. Flertalet utredningar och gymnasiereformer har tidigare inte lyckats åstadkomma mer än organisatoriska förändringar. 1991 års gymnasiereform genomfördes med Lpf-94 och sett ur ett utbildningspolitisktperspektiv, är genomförandet rent teoretiskt den reform som kommit närmast den utbildningspolitiska intentionen. Men frågan kvarstår vad har reformen inneburit sett ur ett individperspektiv i ett utbildningssystem med en grundskola och ett gymnasium för alla. En skola för alla betyder i praktiken en skola som skall tillgodose samtliga elevers olika behov.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur stor del av de män och kvinnor som döms till fängelse som har uppmärksamhetsstörning (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD). Den skall även besvara frågan om huruvida det finns skillnader mellan könen i prevalens, samt om det finns korrelation mellan ADHD och Antisocial personlighetsstörning (ASPD). Metoden som används är självskattningsformulär som är välbeprövade inom detta område, Wender-Utah rating Scale (WURS) och Mini Neuropsykiatrisk Intervju (M.I.N.I.). Formulären besvarades av 49 fängelsedömda män och kvinnor, vilka var inskrivna på kriminalvårdsanstalter i mellansverige. Resultatet av studien visar att en hög andel av den aktuella populationen har både ADHD och ASPD.

In order to counteract and to discover unethical actions within an organisation, a growing number of Swedish companies implement a so-called whistleblowing system. The purpose of our essay is to study the mindset of companies and further analyse how this mindset affects the design and quality of companies' whistleblowing systems. To do this, we have used a qualitative approach by interviewing different Swedish companies about their mindsets and systems. The study determines that there seemingly are three different categories of systems of varying quality. In this study we have chosen to call them "internal system", "external system" and "combined system".

Tidigare studier inom elevers matematiska resonemang visar att de imitativa resonemangen dominerar inom matematisk problemlösning. Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att se vad för matematiska resonemang elever i årskurs 4 för inom området ?likheter? och ?lika med?. Undersökningen visade att eleverna använde kreativa matematiska resonemang i 19 problemsituationer av totalt 32. Det uppkom ett resonemang som inte finns med i det ramverk som studien utgår ifrån.

Syftet med detta examensjobb är att få fram idéer om hur ArcView GIS kan användas för att på ett enklare, tydligare och smidigare sätt visa upp var Banverket har och var man tänker utföra ogräsbekämpning längs järnvägen. Idag fungerar det så att informationen ligger lagrat på papperskartor, i pärmar, i någon dator någonstans och så vidare. Sammanfattningsvis är det svårt att snabbt hitta det man söker. GIS användandet ligger i startgroparna inom Banverket, så detta examensarbete ska vara ett praktiskt exempel på hur tekniken med geografisk information kan nyttjas. För att spara både jobb och kostnader.

Informationsteknologins och revisionens utveckling bidrog till att det under 1980- och 1990-talen växte fram ett behov av att fastställa vad intern kontroll innebär. Internal Control ? Integrated Framework, lanserat år 1992 av The Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission, är det internationellt mest erkända ramverket för utformning av intern kontroll. Syftet med ramverket var att säkerställa en förbättrad bolagsstyrning efter de företagsskandaler och förtroendekriser som skakat företagsvärlden under de senaste decennierna. Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning kom i slutet av år 2004 och hade som syfte att ytterligare förbättra styrningen för svenska företag.

The Swedish bank Handelsbanken has, according to their own way of measuring, been more successful than a weighted average of their competitors during the last 38 years. They have also handled the recent financial crisis, as well as the one in the 1990´s, better than most other banks. This paper studies their management control system at branch level in order to identify the controls which have been enforced to ensure that a low risk level is retained in the lending. The controls that have been identified are; (1) A decentralized organization with the offices as profit centers where the manager has restrictions regarding risk level and the results are measured as K/I (cost/revenue). (2) The absence of bonuses and individual follow-up regarding performance measurement.

In the faster growing pace of changes and competition in the global economy, factors promoting group effectiveness are of interest. How do components of leadershipstyle, especially transformational, team climate and selfefficacy correlate? To answer this question 3 questionnaires regarding leadershipstyle (MLQ), team climate (TCI-Short) and selfefficacy (self developed) were distributed to employees of a Swedish installation company (108 participants). Moderate positive correlations were found between climate and selfefficacy and between varying elements of leadership and selfefficacy. The leadership behaviour Contingent Reward correlated moderately with all climate dimensions and strongly with selfefficay.

I detta examensarbete har jag valt att dokumentera och analysera en soffas stoppningshistoria. Soffan, som även kan kallas en färstmanssoffa, är i nyrokokostil och från ca 1870-talet. En kort beskrivning av historiken kring soffan återges samt lite stilhistoria från tiden då den är tillverkad. Jag har valt att ta tillvara på så mycket som möjligt av stoppningen på soffan, en så kallad bevarandetapetsering. Syftet var att dokumentera soffan, vilka material som använts och vilka åtgärder och förändringar som gjorts under årens lopp.

The European Union is struggling to maintain democracy and tries to increase the participation among the citizens in Europe. The European Citizens? Initiative, ECI, is a platform established by the European Commission to allow citizens to propose new legislation. ?Water and sanitation are a human right! Water is a public good, not a commodity!? is the first ECI that has met the requirements.

When Swedish authorities are to purchase or rent something, public procurement is used as a means to an end. Authorities as well as suppliers are subjects to the fact that Swedish law regarding public procurement regulates the form of procurement in one set of particular regulations (LOU) and the form of contracts in another set of general regulations (AvtL). Suppliers and purchasing authorities close a contract regarding the subject of procurement and the law of public procurement regulates when such a contract can be closed, simultaneously the law of contracts regulates when parties are held to contracts and when contracts are to be rescinded. I investigate in this essay what these two types of regulations can result in for the contracting parties. As it is today agreements that have been entered into wrongfully still are valid, even if a court of law nullifies the procurement and sentences the purchasing authority to make a new public procurement.

Some research suggests that identification of the client's conscious or unconscious needs clarifying the so-called core process in the organization and operations can thus be more effective. The study aims to identify and analyze the experience of the core process within child health care. The method has been interviews with nine managers and 10 clinic nurses in a county. The results show a lack of knowledge regarding core process and process work.

Identitet har länge varit föremål för diskussion, både inom filosofi och inom juridik. Min avsikt var att försöka utröna om det finns ett sammband mellan hur filosofer respektive jurister identitesbegreppet, vad gäller ting jag har använt en text skriven av en nutida filosof för att försöka utröna hur filosoferna ser på identitesbegreppet. För att kunna utröna hur jurister ser på begreppet har jag studerat ett antal rättsfäll. jag har inte kunnat hitta några direkt synbara kopplingar mellan hur begreppet"identitet"används inom filosofin respektive inom juridiken. De har helt enkelt för olika utgångspunkter och för olika värden att tillvarata.
