Python scripting for network management: PyMIP - TeMIP made
simple

Det huvudsakliga målet var att skapa ett python-bibliotek som fungerar som ett Interface till Visual TeMIP. Visual TeMIP är ett C++-API som används till att utveckla applikationer och moduler för alarmhanteringssystemet OpenView TeMIP. Ett sekundärt mål var att skapa en lättvikts-webbserver och en webbklient för de mindre kunder som inte har behov av den fullfjädrade TeMIP-klienten. Webbservern skrevs helt i Python och använde sig av PyMIPbiblioteket, webbklienten skrev i DHTML och AJAX. En ASCII-baserad larmlista skriven i Python gjordes också för att användas av utvecklare och tekniker, samt för att testa funktionaliteten i PyMIP.

Application development for automated positioning of 3D-representations of a modularized product

This thesis presents an application that performs positioning of modules automatically based on given data for every module, and the development of it. The basis of the application is from a previous thesis code. On top of that code, more features and error handling has been added, as well as fixes for various bugs. A stress test has been performed and further development possibilities are being presented.The thesis work was carried out at Toyota Material Handling Mjölby (TMH) and was made in parallel with another thesis by Fredrik Holden who was generating data for the application. SmartMedia-controller på chip

This report deals with the design of a controller for SmartMedia? flash memory cards, based on a hardware description found in the SmartMedia? Interface Library - SMIL. The design was made on logic gate level, using standard cells in OrCAD Capture. After simulation of the design in PSpice A/D, it was exported as an EDIF netlist, which was used to make a chip layout in L-Edit, a layout tool for making integrated circuits. The layout was made using a method called Standard Place and Route - SPR, where the layout tool places standard cells from a library and connects them according to the EDIF netlist.

In this essay we discuss the broad area of website usability from a tourism perspective. Our goal was to investigate the usability in smaller and bigger tourism websites. We have declared what website usability means and the importance of involving the users when designing a user Interface. In a pilot study, we conducted three interviews with people who work with usability and then used the information we got to form questions to use in a focus group interview. In this focus group, we asked three people to assess two Swedish tourism websites, one bigger and one smaller, to find out if they were considered usable and if there was any difference in usability depending on the size of the site.

Stereotyper i den virtuella världen. Hur visuella intryck påverkar deltagares uppfattningar av virtuella agenter

The purpose of this study is to examine how participants perceive virtual agents shown on a computer display. In particular, it is explored to what extent participants transfer gender and attraction stereotypes that are commonly applied in the physical world to virtual agents. Previous related studies have often explored only text or voice Interfaces, without any visually appearing agents, and here indeed found evidence for a transfer of gender stereotypes. Our hypothesis was that the addition of a visual agent Interface would reinforce this effect. The results support our hypothesis that participants transfer human gender and attraction stereotypes onto virtual agents, as well as that these processes are affected by the visual representations of the agents..

Utvärdering av responsiv design : En kvalitativ användarstudie av responsiv webbdesign för utvärdering av Hi-Fi prototyp

In my study, I have chosen to examine how the user Interface and content must conform to design guidelines for responsive design makes it suitable for diverse desktop environment and for varied mobile platforms. The purpose of this study is to examine the extent recommended design guidelines based on scientific research has a positive impact on user performance and perception when using this study delivered hi-fi prototype. The goal of this study is to provide a Hi-Fi prototype with high usability that will introduce and inform the public about BrasilCine according specifications. Study findings from user testing and supplementary questionnaires show that the implemented technologies as design guidelines for responsive design and design features have a positive impact on user performance and perception. Förstudie av gränssnitt och styrprogram till SD-180

En av Glimek AB:s mest förekommande maskiner är SD-180 som används för degavvägning. Den finns i flera olika varianter. Den enklaste har enbart start- och stoppknapp och en potentiometer för att ställa hastigheten och en mer avancerad variant har en operatörspanel där olika möjligheter till inställningar finns.Konstruktionen på denna maskin hade inte uppdaterats på många år och behövde en uppdatering av användargränssnitt, programvara och elkonstruktion. Arbetet har framförallt koncentrerat sig på användargränssnittet till panelen.En del av arbetet var att undersöka om det var möjligt att utesluta PLC ur konstruktionen och använda en mer avancerad programmerbar frekvensomformare. Eftersom det blev problem med lanseringen av programvara till frekvensomformaren och enbart en mindre bra fungerande demoversion fanns tillgänglig så var detta tyvärr inte möjligt.I arbetet har olika varianter på operatörspaneler utretts.

The purpose of this paper was to understand internal communication?s critical tradition by studying the Interface of the subjective experience and the objective behavior within a management team. During almost two years this group was observed, several semi-structured interviews were conducted and a specific incident was analyzed. The interview texts where analyzed, using the Meaning Constitution Analysis developed by Roger Sages (2010) at Lund University. The observations were summarized in sociograms showing relationships in the organization.

Taligenkänning som inmatningsmetod för naturligt språk

Att interagera med ett system genom att använda naturligtspråk görs genom att använda ett Natural Language Interface (NLI) som innebär svårigheter för både system och användare. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om taligenkänning är en användbar inmatningsmetod för naturligt språk baserat på ISO-definitionen av användbarhet. Detta gjordes genom att utveckla ett spel baserat på det klassiska textbaserade spelet Zork där användaren ger kommandon i naturligt språk som sedan användes för en användbarhetsstudie. Studien utfördes med mellangruppsdesign med två grupper av användare där den ena gruppen använde tangentbordsinmatning och den andra taligenkänning med Web Speech API. Både kvalitativ och kvantitativ data insamlades under testet om användarnas effektivitet, beteende och uppfattning av systemet.

This essay explores how artwork in the public space can be analysed, conceptualized and described by bringing attention to site. Through an analysis of artworks in the yearly art exhibition of Fittja Open 2011, the essay draws attention to site-specific art and structures of power. The principal aim is to present not only the exhibition of Fittja Open 2011 but also other artwork in the public sphere in Fittja, a suburb to Stockholm. From this point of departure other interests evolve that concerns the "image" of Fittja. The analysis, based on research in art history, architecture, ethnology and philosophy as well as qualitative interviews, also focuses on understanding the role of site and the relations between art practice, institutions and site.The result shows that there are problems with a ruptured Interface between the artwork and site.

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the Interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests. Genreanalys som en del av designprocessen : En analys av genren Webbaserade Geografiska Informationssystem

Boverket har huvudansvar för att skapa en portal för samhällsplanering som ska kunna förse kommuner, landsting, företag och privatpersoner med olika typer av kartinformation. Denna portal kallas Planeringsportalen och som ett led i dess utveckling hölls ett designmöte i april 2007. Inför mötet gjordes en analys av diverse förebilder för att beskriva de goda designlösningar som finns i genren WebGIS, enligt förlaga från Lundberg, Holmlid och Arvolas (2007) arbete. Uppsatsen beskriver hur dessa designlösningar kan användas i designen av Planeringsportalen tillsammans med en redogörelse för hur förebilder kan bidra till en bättre designprocess. Genren representeras i arbetet av webbplatserna Eniro, Norge digitalt, RATP samt Mapquest som alla studerats enligt ett formaliserat förfarande.

Insamling av och trådlös överföring av patientdata

Företaget Caretech har som avsikt att utveckla en modul för överföring av puls, blodtryck och eventuella framtida givare via deras befintliga patientlarmsystem (trygghetslarm). Detta för att möjliggöra central övervakning av patientstatus vad det gäller puls och blodtryck. För att åstadkomma detta krävs ett Interface mellan Caretechs system och på marknaden befintliga givare för puls och blodtryck. Innehållet i rapporten beskriver de delar av projektet som Caretech anser kan vara publika. Interfacet skall helst byggas med komponenter som är kända och använda av Caretech i deras övriga produktsortiment.

The aim of the present study is to describe the experiences of high school students as regards the effects of their activities, in and out of lessons, being published on the web. In addition, a further purpose is to acquire knowledge about whether a website could be used as means of increasing the students level of attention, and focus, to their activities in school; and, furthermore, how such a website should be designed to correspond with the students requests.The implemented methods are interviews with students, school administrators and teachers. A survey was conducted covering the student?s personal experiences and opinions. Furthermore, an Interface test of the website was performed.
