The main purpose of this study is to examine what the factor or factors are to why young exposed Kurdish women stay with their family despite honor-related oppression and violence.We have used a qualitative study process consisting interviews with eight young Kurdish women. The main purpose of this essay is to study how classroom interaction can take place in a class for Second Language Learners (SLL).1 I have applied a case study methodology on a linguistic method used by a Teacher in Swedish as Second Language working on a primary school situated in the Southern suburbs of Stockholm. The learning method is based on extensive reading of books which comprehend several learning techniques organized into a process that support the development of linguistic skills such as discussing in a group, writing, reading and thinking in a second language. The methodology applied is based on observations, on an interview with a Teacher in Swedish as Second Language and on a questionnaire answered by 11 students that participated on ?Boksamtal?.Based on a theoretical framework about socio cultural theories on learning and scaffolding,2 I attempt to integrate theory and practice to investigate how the Teacher succeed on applying effective methods for second language learning. Through the analyses of the data is also my intention to emphasize the advantages and disadvantages of such a method.

The purpose of this paper is toinvestigate which factors influence group communication positively and negatively, andhow communication affects the daily work in an organization. For this study, the fourinterviewees, from four different organizations, have been selected to participate in astructured interview conducted with the help of an interview guide. To analyse thequalitative data derived from interviews, a method of creating patterns and themes wasused. This is presented by selected quotations from the interviews in order to provide aricher depiction of the collected data.The result could indicate large gaps in both formal and informal communication, whereemail turned out to be one of the biggest single problems.

This paper will focus on how the behaviour of the sow can affect the growth and survival of the piglets and also possible causations of differences in maternal behaviour. Sows in intensive production systems have different possibilities to express their maternal behaviour than free ranging sows.

Efter att ha läst Riesbecks avhandling, Interaktion och problemlösning ? Att kommunicera om och med matematik, fann vi av intresse att undersöka lärarens betydelse för en meningsfull muntlig matematisk kommunikation som ger eleverna en matematisk förståelse. Utifrån klassrumsobservationer och lärarintervjuer i skolår 2 och 3 ville vi ta reda på hur kommunikationen ser ut i klassrummet och även hur läraren förhåller sig till denna. Vårt resultat visar att läraren har en avgörande roll för den muntliga kommunikationen, vilket också de intervjuade lärarna är medvetna om. Däremot kom vi fram till att det lärarna framhöll som viktigt i kommunikationen, praktiserade de inte alltid i undervisningen då de dominerade kommunikationen..

In this paper I have studied how feminist parents talk to their children about body and sexuality and with which intentions they speak the way they do. The aim of the study was to locate strategies applied to give children positive relations to their bodies and their sexuality. My data are constituted by answers from a questionnaire sent out to an e-mail list for feminist parents. The answers have been compiled and analyzed, mainly qualitatively by the use of discourse analysis, with support of poststructuralist theories about language, gender and heteronormativity, as well as theories about children?s sexuality.

Syftet med denna studie är att på ta reda på vad en bra hands-on-artefakt för museum är och hur den bör utformas. En kvalitativ fallstudie är gjord på utställningen Sinnrika människan på Naturhistoriska riksmuseet. Empirin har fåtts fram genom korta intervjuer och observation med museibesökare samt djupgående intervjuer med personer insatta i ämnet. Resultatet har sedan både analyserats individuellt och korsanalyserats, efter detta har resultatet kategoriserats. Slutsatsen för studien visade att det är många aspekter som spelar in vid skapandet av en interaktiv station, en av de viktigaste aspekterna är tydlighet om vad syftet med stationen är och hur den utförs..

Hemsidan är den enskilt största kommunikationskanalen mellan Ericsson och potentiellt framtida anställda. Företaget har idag problem med att den globala karriärhemsidan inte uppfattas som användarvänlig av särskilt studenter, och detta examensarbete syftar till att definiera krav för hur en global karriärhemsida bör utformas för att vara användarvänlig och välkomnande för studenter.Med en användarcentrerad designstrategi och en teoretisk bas inom interaktionsdesign och human factor syftar avhandlingen till att förstå vad studenterna efterfrågar och hur Ericsson kan möta och överträffa dessa förväntningar. Tester, workshops, utvärderingar och intervjuer har använts för att iterativt utveckla en prototyp och kravspecifikation.Studien visar att det finns två huvudsakliga typer av användare att designa för: de med ett tydligt mål att hitta ett jobb och de som försöker ta reda på om företaget är av intresse. Vanliga känslor hos användarna att ta hänsyn till ärångest, ensamhet, beslutsamhet, spänning och glädje. Några av slutsatserna kring den befintliga karriärhemsidan är att den vänstra menyn inte är organiserad på ett sätt som hjälper användaren att hitta vad han/hon letar efter, innehållet i mitten är för allmän och tråkig för många användare och högerspalten används sällan, trots att den innehåller vissa användbara funktioner.

Vilka diskurser ger elever och lärare uttryck för i pianoundervisning? Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka hur pianoelever och pianolärare på kulturskolan och inom ett studieförbund genom språket ger uttryck för en mängd förhållningssätt och attityder. Vad sägs i samtalen kring deras undervisning och vilka diskurser och tankekollektiv bildar dessa åsikter tillsammans? Jag har använt mig av fyra djupgående intervjuer och två videodokumentationer för att dels studera elevernas och lärarnas uttryckta upplevelser men också för att ta del av det som verkligen sker under lektionstid. Teoretiska utgångspunkter har utgjorts av kritisk diskursanalys, institutionsbegreppet och interaktionsteori.

This report is an evaluation of the cooperation between the rescue command centre and the POSOM-groups (?Psychological and social support?) after the Tsunami catastrophe in December, 2004. The report describes the interaction between these two municipal administrations, what services the rescue command centre provided and how they gathered information. Finally the author suggests different solutions to how the collaboration within these different municipal administrations can be increased and improved in future times of crisis..

In this essay, I have studied the image of the drug abusing mother and her motherhood as seen in some of the social science literature on drug abusing women. This I did with a qualitative research design and with the questions:How is the drug abusing mother and her motherhood portrayed by social scientists?What signification is her motherhood given in her life by the researchers?What approach towards the drug abusing mother in the research process, and hence in the creation of the images of her, does the scientists have?I found that there are distinct patterns and themes in the research on mothers with a drug abuse. The researchers studied the women with the goal to understand them and to give them the opportunity to speak for themselves through the researcher. The drug abusing mother is in short portrayed as a woman who cares for her children, whose motherhood is one of the most important factors in her life and who is anxious that her substance abuse should not threaten it.

The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of threats and violence among four social workers at a social services' reception center for individual and family care. The study uses semistructured interviews and an abductive approach. The analysis is based on previous research, communication theory, coping and sense of coherence, SOC. The study shows that the studied workplace isn't considered to be particularly exposed to threats and violence, although all four respondents have experienced threats and/or violence. The respondents make a difference between threats and harsh words from clients because they consider their clients are entitled to be upset considering the nature of the work conducted at the workplace.

The aim of this paper is to examine the layout of public spaces and its effect on human behavior with focus on the relation between pedestrians and cyclists movement patterns in a specific path. The study emanates from the security aspect of pedestrians and cyclists, and builds upon previous theories and empirical studies about perception, security, information design, environmental psychology and behavior. The result shows that individual behavior and movement pattern differs with age, purpose, physical- and other conditions, and layout of the surroundings. A design proposal for improved layout of a path and a node between different oncoming paths has been developed to aid the users? needs, where a separation of walkways and bike lanes forms zones of security for the purpose of better orientation and a better flow between the users..

Detta examensarbete har varit att ta fram ett koncept för ett second-screenlager till företaget Headwebs filmuthyrningstjänst. Denna rapport visar på hur tre second-screenfunktioner kan appliceras i en video on demand-tjänst. De tre funktionerna som applicerades var att som användare via sin second-screen välja på vilken enhet man vill se sin film, kontrollera filmens playbackkontroller och välja ut små filmklipp från filmen och dela dessa på sociala medier.Resultatet blev ett lo-fi-prototyp som visar hur de tre funktionerna kan appliceras på Headwebs iPadtjänst och listar för- och nackdelar med de olika konceptet..
