Students at Jönköping School of Engineering were given an assignment from Jönköping municipality, to evaluate their decision support system, QlikView. The students have also developed proposals for improvement with focus on usability.The Jönköpings municipality has currently got 11000 employees and consists of nine different administrations. The target group for QlikView is approximately 600 first-line managers.The Intention of QlikView is that the users can get an overall picture of their business by having all information in just one system.The purpose of the thesis is to obtain a picture of what the users think about the system today and present relevant suggestions for improvement, which the Jönköping municipality can use when the introduction of the new version of QlikView takes place. The research questions that the study aims to answer are:? Has QlikView got a user friendly interface?? How can the interface be improved to become more user friendly?Theories that this work is based on is Jacob Nielsens ten usability principles and Ben Schneidermans eight golden rules.

Frågor som rör missbruk och missbrukare är omdebatterade i samhället. Ofta sker debatten i kombination med de ekonomiska aspekterna. Missbrukare som grupp är tärande för samhället och ofta hörs åsikter om hur problemen bäst kan lösas. Vår Intention med undersökningen är att belysa problemet med ett inifrånperspektiv för att på det sättet utveckla en annars ganska ensidig debatt.Undersökningen baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med personer som själva varit drogmissbrukare. Vi har valt att undersöka tiden efter brytpunkten och har varken intresserat oss för deras aktiva missbruk eller hur och varför de bröt med drogerna.

Elevers inställning och attityder till det som undervisas påverkar i stor utsträckning hur mycket de lär sig. Det i sin tur gör att det är viktigt att ta reda på elevers intressen och att de får ha inflytande över undervisningen. I lagstiftning, dvs. skolans och kursers mål, uttrycks tydligt att detta ses som viktigt på samhällsnivå. Syftet med mitt arbete är att ta reda på om detta syns i lärarnas tankar kring biologiundervisningen, samt vad deras elever har för uppfattning om sitt eget inflytande.

This study uses European researcher Tomas Valasek?s hypothesis about factors required for defence cooperation in order to achieve conditions which can be successfully applied to the Nordic defence cooperation NORDEFCO. The study uses only Norway and Sweden on the grounds that they are the original actors and the driving forces behind the defence cooperation. The factors studied are; the countries' strategic culture, solidarity and trust between countries, similarity in military forces, if similar conditions prevail in the defence industry and if the Intentions of cooperation have been clarified.Mainly government documents in the form of propositions, orientations and defence documents are studied, together with previous research in this area and, especially, interviews with representatives of NORDEFCO at military level and policy level as well as outside perspectives from the military attachés in each country. With the Intention of studying the extent to which the factors Valasek features may prove to be significant in assessing the conditions for enhanced cooperation in NORDEFCO, the study raises the question of how it is possible to find expressions for the factors.

This paper is a quantitative case study named Outdoor recreation of urban areas viewed through a gender perspective. The Intention of this paper is, by studying gender pattern in outdoor recreation practices in Gothenburg, to describe gender patterns in outdoor recreation of Swedish urban areas. This subject is important to study because of the practices of outdoor recreation forward public health. Today many people suffer from diseases caused by stress and too little exercise, which could be prevented if they practiced outdoor recreation. Not everyone has the same possibility to practice outdoor recreation because of the inequalities between women and men.

Over the past decade there has been considerable debate in the media concerning the necessity of educating parents in how to be better parents, and strengthening their parental role. This question has also been debated at a national level, resulting in the state commissioning a number of official investigations into the problems that parental education could resolve. A growing body of scientific studies have shown that parental-educational programmes play a strong role in preventing behavioural problems amongst children and teenagers. Many Councils in Sweden already offer these parental courses to their citizens, but discussions are ongoing as to whether these courses should be obligatory for all parents before or near to the moment that they begin to have children. This conclusion has been supported by the official investigations commissioned to look into this issue.

Ever since Internet revolutionized the world, e-stores and e-commerce has grown into becoming a natural part of consumer's everyday life. Much thanks to it's facilitative and time saving characteristics. Online, consumers are provided with a huge assortment and the opportunity to shop any time they like. Yet, the absolute greatness of e-stores is the possibility to push prices below the physical store price, which seems to be most appreciated to a large extent by consumers worldwide. The fact that e-store sales in Sweden grew 14% last year verifies this.As more players step into the virtual world of e-commerce the competition gets tougher.

Den fotografiska bilden fungerar som visuell kommunikation och identitetsskapande. Tekniken har utvecklats från analogt till digitalt och byggs numera upp av pixlar. Det finnsolika perspektiv på att betrakta. Fotografen som har en dominerande position som betraktare och väljer att se tecken om något, motivet låter sig betraktas av någon och betraktaren som upplever fotografiet som betyder något för någon. Berättelsen preciserar och kategoriserar det som är viktigt för individen.Vid ett par tillfällen har jag intervjuat två familjer om deras familjebilder.

1998 beslutade Nässjö kommun att ett minnesmonument skulle uppföras lagom till millenieskiftet. En av de drivande personerna till idén var Jan Holmquist som vid tidpunkten var Kultur- och fritidschef för kommunen. Monumentet skulle göras av "den bäste" varpå Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd fick förfrågan.Skulpturen gestaltar Nässjö stad med hjälp av ett minne, historien om stadens uppbyggnad med järnvägen som en central del. Tåg som rörde sig framåt med hjälp av hårt arbete och kol inspirerade konstnären. Skisserna till verket spelar stor roll för att kunna förstå konstnärens Intention med Kolskyffeln.

Ortorexia nervosa var från början tänkt som ett sätt att benämna en grupp patienter med liknande problematik, tills det framkom att detta var något som behövde undersökas närmre. En person med ortorexi är besatt av en hälsosam diet som istället kan bli farlig. Mål: Att beskriva vad ortorexi innebär, vilken sjukdomsstatus den har samt om det finns klara direktiv kring behandling.Metod: Vi har undersökt litteratur, vetenskapliga artiklar samt genomfört intervjuer med personer som har behörig kompetens kring ortorexi. En kvalitativ innehållsanalys har använts.Resultat: Ortorexia nervosa är ingen diagnos.

The world around us is shrinking and globalization and capitalism are processes affecting the world. Global trends, like outsourcing and relocation of firms to low-cost countries, have become more common. This creates a huge vulnerability in the municipalities that today are concentrated around a single large company. One of these is Olofström which today is one of the most vulnerable municipalities in Sweden and whose survival today lies in the hand of the company ?Volvo Cars Corporation?.

The legal right to take time off from work to care for one`s children has been regulated in Swedish law since late 1930. This right was limited to mothers and was provided under restricted forms. There was a long qualification period and the length of parental leave was limited.Since then, the right to parental leave has been extended through several modifications of the law. The question of equality in both the labour market and the private sector has been one of the greatest forces behind these changes. By including men in the right to take parental leave, the work place has become more equal and it is now considered a natural part of the employee?s life to request time off to care for children.Labour Arbitration Court has shown through its case law that equality in the work place is of the utmost importance and has shown its support in this matter through its judgements.

Nätverk är ett av de mest centrala begrepp som diskuterats under de senaste decennierna och även i dagsläget pratas det mycket om nätverk. Det handlar om olika former av nätverk där du kan knyta kontakter som kan komma att få betydelse i både ditt arbets- och privatliv. Syftet med att använda ordet nätverk är oftast för att förmedla att det finns en gruppering av deltagare som är sammanlänkade med varandra på något vis. Vårt syfte med den här studien var att identifiera varför chefer och ledare i Varberg anser att det är betydelsefullt att medverka i ett nätverk samt hur de använder sig av sina syntetiska och organiska nätverk i praktiken. Vi har också undersökt om behovet av att nätverka har ökat och vad det i så fall beror på.
