The study aimed to evaluate the information and training the stoma therapist at Uppsala University Hospital has given to patients who have recently undergone stoma surgery. The study was a descriptive cross-sectional study using qualitative and quantitative design. A total of 22 patients who completely or partially took care of their stomas and recently had undergone stoma surgery participated by answering a questionnaire. At discharge most of them experienced they were relatively well-informed but they wanted more information. Before the revisit they weren?t especially safe or comfortable.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att öka förståelsen för taktisk kompetens som omhändertar den inneboende komplexiteten i militär verksamhet. Problemet häri är att kompetens kan anses vara något sällsynt och att inkompetens snarare är normalbilden.Uppsatsen tar sig an detta arbete genom att operationalisera Bertil Rolfs teorier om militär kompetens och Stephen Biddles teori om the Modern System. Ur detta teoretiska utblicksblicksfönster utfaller ett analysfilter bestående av kategorierna praktisk kunskap, professionell kunskap, regler och praktik inom institutioner och traditioner. Huruvida dessa kan utgöra en grund för förståelsen av taktisk kompetens analyseras därefter med stöd av Israel Defense Forces taktiska prestationer under det andra Libanonkriget 2006.Resultatet är att taktisk kompetens är möjlig att förstå utifrån förutsättningarna att hantera den föränderliga helheten. Taktisk kompetens handlar om de organisatoriska villkoren att kritiskt granska och reflektera över rådande förhållanden och förutsättningarna för att åstadkomma förändring och utveckling.

It is important to ensure and develop the Swedish model for riding schools, since the pupils at a Swedish riding school learn both to ride and to handle horses. There is a pronounced problem of stagnation and in some cases a reduced demand in several of the equine industry sectors including breeding with decreased coverings. The aim of this study was to cast light on how representatives from the horse industry looks at riding schools and their recruitment of horses in the next five years. The research issue was ?Will there be difficulties regarding horse recruitment in 2020 and in that case, what are the consequences?? The results of this work consist mostly of material from a workshop on how the riding school will be affected by reduced breeding in the future.

An ageing population calls for enlarged needs of care and treatments that is followed by an increased demand on social and medical care. Present organization and structure are not adjusted to these new requirements. Due to this fact, necessary alterations ought to be made between and within the different institutional and non-institutional care actors. This work should be settled locally. In this study, the aim was to describe "Chealth care nearby" as being a new standard of care as well as investigate its significance in the co-operation and collaboration between different care actors.

This paper examines if trading suspensions on Nasdaq OMX Nordic - Stockholm work as a contributing factor in creating a secure trading. This has been made through an event study and examination of abnormal returns. Our results for plus tick suspensions indicate that suspensions fulfill their purpose in creating a more secure trading since the trend of abnormal return we observe prior to a suspension is disrupted. Thus, the suspension is warranted. The conclusion is that the market cannot be completely safe; as the law and practice is structured today an abnormal return is inevitable.

I alla typer av möten mellan människor kan brist på kommunikation leda till missförstånd och konflikter av olika slag. En situation, där vi tror att detta kan vara särskilt påtagligt, är när polisen möter demonstranter vid en opinionsyttring. Detta arbete undersöker och belyser vilka möjligheter som finns till kommunikation för den enskilde polismannen vid en demonstration. För att ta reda på detta har vi utfört djupintervjuer med representanter inom polisen. Vi har även tittat på vad polisens utbildning i det kommunikativa förhållningssättet innehåller.

The concept of large paintings includes panoramas, cycloramas and other paintings thatin size exceeds the normal magnitude of wall hung paintings. When these large paintingsare mounted in the ceiling, they are referred to as plafonds. When they are performedon canvas, certain kinds of structural distortions and stress occurs. In addition, becauseof their size and mounting high up in the ceiling, plafond paintings are often difficult tohandle, which leads to less or no maintenance. A plafond may therefore be left withoutattendance for many decades.This thesis has its focus on what happens with plafond paintings on canvas when they areexposed to gravitational forces, and the problems involved in restoring large paintingsmounted in the ceiling.

People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Bakgrund: Urinblåsecancer finns i olika former och vid muskelinvasiv cancer är radikal operation den vanligaste behandlingen. Förutsatt att cancern inte spridit sig, då görs en cystektomi. Många människor har en naturlig förmåga att hantera kriser och skapar ny balans i tillvaron efter en påfrestande händelse i livet. Sjuksköterskan kan ge råd och stöd i situationen och bör då ha kunskap om förändringar i personens fysiska och psykiska tillstånd. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa hur personer som genomgått cystektomi på grund av urinblåsecancer upplevde att det dagliga livet påverkades.

Bakgrund och problemformulering: Informationshantering är idag en vital del av konkurrensförmågan, varför en strategi för god hantering är viktig. Företag blir mer beroende av att prestera och efterfrågar system som erbjuder en strukturerad lösning för att förbättra prestationerna. CPM utgör beslutsstöd som erbjuder djupare analyser och som fångar upp företags intresse. Stora investeringar av CPM genomförs i bolag, trots att viss oenighet om innebörden finns. Studier och forskning i ämnet är få, varför vårt intresse för studien väcktes.

Postoperativ återhämtning är en viktig del när patienten genomgår ett kirurgiskt ingrepp. Efter operation vårdas patienten för rehabilitering samt för observation och behandling av eventuella anestesiologiska och/eller kirurgiska komplikationer. Som ett resultat av utvecklingen av anestesiologisk och kirurgisk teknik (till exempel minimal invasiv kirurgi och standardisering av operationsmetoder) har den postoperativa vårdtiden på sjukhuset minskat. Genom denna effektivisering så minskar kostnaderna och fler patienter kan opereras inom kortare tid i jämförelse mot tidigare.Författarna till den här studien arbetar på en kirurgavdelning där patienter vårdas som bland annat har genomgått kolorektal kirurgi. ABSTRACTIntroduction: Scientists have over the last centuries realized that presurgical reduction of bacterial skin flora decreases the surgical site infections. Sponges, showers and washing with Chlorhexidine is today a standard procedure. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe the patient?s experience of the information given to them about the preoperative showers with hibiscrub. Method: Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, and content analysis was used to analys the data.

In 1930 a new library reform came into force, which in reality was the beginning of the modern Swedish library. The purpose of this reform was to take measures to promote efficiency, for example to increase library co-operation. The Government grants were at the same time raised considerably.
