This study's main objective was to identify adolescents participation in alternative sport activities and which kind of physical activity that was preferred by adolescents who didn't had any earlier experience of sport clubs. The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. This essay aims to examine Martha Nussbaum's proposal for a classical defense of reform in liberal education and her critique of utility thinking in higher education. I want to explore how Nussbaum uses history to create an ethical alternative that cultivates both moral and intellectual virtues, which she considers to be crucial for the survival of democracy. In examining Nussbaum's use of Aristotle, I focus on her work as a proposal for institutional implementation of an Aristotelian epistemology and the cultivation of the individual as an ethical political subject. This study highlights the epistemological, educational and political ideas that form the basis of Nussbaum's ideals. I intend, however, to go beyond a contextualizing reading and thus establish a dialogue with a radical intersubjectivity to respond to Nussbaum's ambitions to recognize human vulnerabilities as assets for reason.

On November 1st 2010 the obligatory audit was removed in Sweden for small companies. What factors influence such companies to have their financial reports audited, and what factors exert the strongest influence. Purpose: The authors would like to investigate factors that affect companies with voluntary audits in Skåne län to continue with the audit. The authors also wish to examine the factors that have the strongest impact on the choice to adopt auditing. Method: A quantitative study has been conducted in which aquestionnaire was sent to companies in Skåne Län Conclusion: The factors that affect smaller companies to continue with audit are as follows: Accounting quality, cost, creditors (loans), suppliers / customers, the tax office and distort competition.

The aim of this essay is to see how the IOGT, local politicians and the local newspaper acted in the city of Hedemora in Sweden in connection with the referendum held in 1922 whether or not to ban the use of alcoholic beverages. To accomplish this I have examined protocols from local IOGT-groups, the town council and the local newspaper Södra Dalarnes tidning. I find that the local IOGT not only worked with the issue of alcohol but served as an institution that deepened democracy and education in the local community through discussions, study circles and applying pressure on local politicians. The locally elected bodies in turn were generally in favour of the good work the IOGT did, although not always overwhelmingly so. Many of the local politicians that handled the issues of alcohol were themselves active members in organisations promoting absolutism.

In this thesis we study the development of post-earnings announcement drift (PEAD) in the Swedish equity market from 2000 to 2009. By forming portfolios based on the stock price reaction to quarterly reporting we show that the characteristics of PEAD have changed. We demonstrate that negatively surprising companies show a positive drift during a holding period of six months sufficiently large to render the trading strategy unprofitable. This development holds from 2005 and onwards and these results contradict many a study which finds the same portfolio construction to be indeed profitable. We argue that this development is a trend that will not only affect our study but future studies as well..

We have two aims with this thesis. The first aim is to describe CFD as a financial instrument in detail by highlighting its potentials and disadvantages. The second aim is to try to find the optimal real margin for each of the underlying stocks.We have adopted an inductive approach, combined with a quantitative method. The purpose of this essay is to examine how two riding schools work with their safety. Riding is one of the most popular sports in Sweden but also very dangerous. Sweden has a lot of riding schools and almost half a million that rides. Therefore it?s very important that riding, and especially riding at riding schools has the highest level of safety with regards to harmful events.The purpose leads to the overarching research question for this essay, which is: How does the Safety work look at two riding schools in the area of Karlstad? Out of this question, seven specified research questions have been constructed.

The changes in the Swedish meat- and meat processing industry have been substantial in recent years. These changes will alter the business environment for many companies. In order to be prepared to face new threats and new opportunities, companies should be actively working on these issues. Risk awareness and by developing of risk management strategies companies can act quickly and effectively when the conditions changes. The objective of this study is to analyse whether and why companies in the Swedish meat- and meat processing industry use various forms of risk management strategies.

På så sätt uppnås en holistisk analys av risk som tar hänsyn till både positiva och negativa avvikelser på mål. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur användbara optimeringsmodeller är i läkemedelsindustrin ur ett risk management-perspektiv. Modellerna som undersöks är capital budgeting problem, goal programming och contingent portfolio programming.

It´s not enough to just have big international companies but it is also necessary to invest in new companies that can be competitive in the future. By helping entrepreneurs with innovation support in the early stages, new technology-based businesses are established and developed. The purpose of this paper was to examine how innovation support in the early stages affects the establishment and development of new technology-based companies. Furthermore, we investigated how this will affect Sweden's international competitiveness.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka faktorer som är betydelsefulla för att stödja personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning i att erhålla anställning. Fem personal som stödjer personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning i processen att erhålla anställning samt fyra personer som tar emot stöd avseende detta har intervjuats. Materialet har bearbetats utifrån en induktiv tematisk analysmetod med empowerment som teoretisk ansats. Huvudresultatet visade att det var viktigt att genomföra individuellt anpassad kartläggning samt stödja utifrån motivation. Handledaren bör arbeta med inkludering, ta parti för personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning, utveckla personens förmågor och självmedvetenhet.

Ungdomar är den mest brottsutsatta gruppen i samhället och många av de brott som begås av ungdomar kommer aldrig till polisens vetskap. Det finns en kunskapslucka när det gäller anledningar att vittna och anmäla brott. Detta för att få en tydligare bild av ungdomars synpunkter på att anmäla brott och syftet i denna studie var därför ungdomar benägenhet/attityd till att vittna och anmäla brott. Studien gjordes i form av en kvalitativ intervjustudie, där 15 gymnasie elever i åldrarna 16-18 år varav nio manliga och sex kvinnliga från två olika skolor deltog. Resultatet visar att erfarenheter, förtroendet för rättsväsendet och rädsla är bidragande faktorer i beslut om man ska kontakta eller samarbeta med polisen.

Denna studie har skrivits för att skapa en förståelse för vad deltagande i handikappidrott betyder för skapandet av identitet och självbild påverkas hos personer med intellektuellt funktionshinder. Att genom idrott lära sig vem jag är och vad jag kan. Ett ämne som är viktigt att belysa i en samhällsgrupp som ofta känner sig orättvist bedömda av andra. Det är även en samhällsgrupp som är eftersatt inom den kvalitativa forskningen och idrottspedagogiken. För att studera detta användes deltagande observationer och intervjuer.
