The purpose of this study was to explore the approach of the personal in residential care homes, legal guardians and Refugee secretaries consider as effective in their efforts to care for and guide unaccompanied boys in the Swedish society. With the help of qualitative method and semi-structured interviews, we have taken note of eleven informants? perspective on what approach they believe to be essential in the work of integration process with unaccompanied boys. We used Empowerment and the Swedish Integration BoardÂŽs proposal on indicators of integration as a theoretical base. The results show among other things, that our informants believe the keys to integration in Sweden for the unaccompanied youth are the Swedish language, education and a stable social network.

The idea to develop  a platform for a PID-controller came from the need to control the temperature in  an espresso machine in a more exact way than a thermostat could perform. In discussions with Syntronic AB the idea developed into PID-control for industrial use. Syntronic AB suggested that the platform should be based on a commercially available processor module to shorten the development time. The suggestion included the use of the microcomputer Raspberry Pi, which supports USB, HDMI, memory card and Ethernet.The work began with establishing a schedule for the 10 weeks of the projects duration, and after that a system specification listing all functions, implementation and limitations was made. When the foundation of the system specification was done, a preliminary system design took shape.Because of the Raspberry PiŽs lack of Analog-to-Digital converter, a circuit board containing Wheatstone bridges, differential amplifiers and a two channel Analog-to-Digital converter was fabricated.

The purpose of this paper was to examine social workers' experiences of integration of unaccompanied children. We aimed to study which factors in the individual and the community social workers experience affect the integration and how they, based on their understanding, work to promote integration. The essay has a phenomenological approach and focuses on the social workers' own experiences of the phenomenon. The empirical data was obtained from qualitative interviews conducted with five social workers, all administrators in cases involving unaccompanied children. The result shows that the social workers feel that the desire to integrate is the most important presumption that must be present in the unaccompanied children.

This essay is a case study that deals with the integration of Scania into Sweden,which started for over 300 years ago. The purpose is to capture why theintegration of Scania succeeded, what were the main reasons or factors and todiscuss the effects the scanian identity and culture had on the integration. This hasbeen done with the help of different theories that will help sort out main factors tothe successful integration. The result of the study revealed a number of factors, tobegin with the scanian identity appeared not to be such a great obstacle for theintegration that one could believe. The identity developed because of the?swedification?, which were the measures the Swedish government took tointegrate the new territory.

AbstractThe purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse Europol. The research questions are:- How would increased powers for Europol impact on the cooperation between Europol and police authorities in EU-member states?- Which one of the two theories transactionalism and neofunctionalism can best create an understanding of Europol and its integration with the police of the member states?In so doing the study applies a qualitative method.Europol is the European Police Office and it was established through the Maastricht treaty in 1992 with the purpose of making the integration between police of the EU member states more efficient. In order for Europol to make integration between the police of member states more efficient it can be suggested that it needs for Europol to develop into having executive powers.One conclusion of this study is that Europol is an important tool for integration in the EU but there are at least three issues that are influencing the level of effectiveness in the integration work between the police of the member states; possible mistrust, that Europol has no executive powers and that it is voluntary for member states to participate in assisting Europol with information. Another conclusion is that Europol can be understood through an integration perspective when transactionalism and neofunctionalism are complementing each other..

Vi lever idag i ett mÄngkulturellt samhÀlle dÀr integration har blivit en allt viktigare frÄga. DÄ en stor del av Sveriges befolkning har annan etnisk bakgrund Àn svensk blir det viktigare att mötas och respektera varandra. Detta Àr i stort vad integration gÄr ut pÄ och nÄgot som det arbetas med dagligen. I denna antologi behandlas integration ur fyra olika perspektiv. Gemensamt för dessa bidrag Àr att de behandlar integrationsprocesser och identitetsskapande.

SAMMANFATTNING:Syftet med den hÀr studien har varit att belysa och undersöka, utifrÄn en integrationsenhets lokalkontor i en glesbygdskommun i Norrland, dess integrationshandlÀggares syn pÄ integration. Begreppet integration Àr svÄrdefinierat och det var dÀrför intressant att ta reda pÄ hur just dessa personer tÀnker och resonerar kring Àmnet för att fÄ en inblick av deras bild av integration och om och hur det pÄverkar deras sÀtt att arbeta. Resultatet vittnar om att begreppet integration Àr mÄngfacetterat och ter sig olika, Àven för yrkesverksamma inom samma profession, pÄ samma arbetsplats, med samma arbetsuppgifter. Studien Àr kvalitativ och grundar sig pÄ halvstrukturerad intervju som forskningsmetod. Intervjusvaren har analyserats utifrÄn meningskategorisering och presenteras under teman kopplade till studiens frÄgestÀllningar.

This study is about the work of including immigrants to the Swedish society. The reason that we chose Landskrona community is that it is a town with a high population of immigrants. The purpose of this work has been to examine how projectleaders reflect about the work of integration in Landskrona and their point of view regarding the term integration. Our questions were: what is the projectleaders view on the term integration, how does the projectleaders reflect about the work of integration in Landskrona, how would the projectleaders like the work of integration to be, how does the projecleaders reflect about the future work of integration in Landskrona.We used a qualitative method to do this study and interviewed six persons who all work in various projects, that are working for including immigrants to the Swedish society.Our main results in our study is various kinds of thoughts and reflections of the work of integration in Landskrona, but there were some things that were more approaching than others. There is a high ambition of integrate immigrants into the Swedish society in Landskrona and the projectleaders had all many reflections of their work.

Denna uppsats handlar om integration och de olika uppfattningarna om vad integration Àr. Syfte med studien Àr att dels ta reda pÄ hur man arbetar med integration i en glesbygdskommun. Att försöka förstÄ vad olika aktörer i integrationsprocessen har för perspektiv och syn pÄ integration. Att sedan jÀmföra dessa med varandra. Studien utfördes i Ljusdals kommun dÀr Kvalitativa intervjuer utfördes med aktörer inom integrationsarbetet. Dessa aktörer Àr Arbetsförmedlingen, VÀnskap- och integrationsföreningen samt invandrare i kommunen. Att enbart konstatera att det finns olika perspektiv pÄ integration skulle i min mening inte leda till nÄgon vidare intressant diskussion. Med hjÀlp av Graebers teori kring asymmetrisk perspektivförstÄelse kunde man finna svar till varför perspektiven pÄ integration skiljer sig och vad det har för konsekvenser pÄ integrationsarbetet. I min studie kunde man se att det inom arbetsförmedlingen fanns byrÄkratiska strukturer som begrÀnsade integrationsarbetet.
