ABSTRACT This research explores how the Work Integration Center (AIC) supports unemployed immigrants in acquiring jobs and how the practical work helps immigrants in entering the labour market. It employs qualitative research approach through semi-structured interviews staff members at AIC and municipal commissioners of education and labour market in the municipality of Malmö. Its aim is to examine how governmental setup guidelines were represented in the practical work. These guiding principles of the organization are presented at the top of municipality. The findings suggest that even if the staff has no knowledge of the official measures of the integration plans, they have implemented the aims and criteria in their work with the immigrants.

The purpose of this essay was to examine the role of the acquisition of the Swedish language for integration of adult immigrants given by the seven parties currently in the parliament and other players on the field. The questions were meant to bring light upon the arguments used by the different players concerning the role of the Swedish language, to enlighten which discourses that are constructed, and the contradictions that exist between these. We parted from a postmodern position and used social constructionism to back up our method and theory of analysis; discourse theory. The results revealed three different discourses concerning the role of the Swedish language in the integration process; the liberal discourse, the discrimination discourse and the social democratic discourse. The liberal discourse claims that immigrants have a responsibility to learn Swedish to be able to achieve employment and to provide for themselves.

The present study discusses the political integration of immigrants in local government in the muncipality of Växjö from 1971 to 1991 in the form of representation. The main data source consists of lists of people holding local commissions of trust in the various boards and committés appointed by the municipality council, as well as in the council itself. These data are then compared to population statistics from Statistics Sweden. Main findings of the study are that immigrants are insufficiently represented in relation to their proportion of the population. It is suggested that this is a result of structural discrimination and possibly insufficient socialisation..

Denna rapport redovisar utvecklingen av en hemsida i formen av en skärgårdsguide för Stockholms Skärgård. Syftet var att skapa en hemsida som ger möjligheter att finna intressanta och nyttiga platser i skärgården för personer med olika syften, med fokus på kulturellt intressanta platser. I rapporten beskrivs utvecklingen från den inledande fasen till utvecklingen av individuella delar i projektet. Utvecklingen skedde främst med hjälp av språken PHP, HTML, CSS samt Javascript. Resultatet blev responsiv startsida för projektet med tillhörande funktionalitet i form av en karta samt möjligheten att manipulera denna karta..

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa språkets betydelse vid integrering av nyanlända invandrarelever. Jag har undersök hur vida eleverna uppfattar sitt mottagande i den svenska skolan och hur eller om lärare kartlägger elevens språk- och kunskapsutveckling. Resultaten är baserade på information från personintervjuer och hur denna information korrelerar med min valda teori. Jag använde ett teoretiskt ramverk av Lev Semjonovitj Vygotskij som är en erkänd pedagogisk teoretiker. Resultaten av min studie visar att svaren från mina intervjuer stämmer väl överens med min valda teori: att omgivning och utveckling går hand i hand.

Denna rapport beskriver produktionsprocessen för framtagandet av två filmer till ett svensktupplevelseföretag. Filmernas syfte är att informera potentiella kunder vad de kan förvänta sig. Dessa filmer ska efter leverans implementeras på upplevelseföretagets hemsida. Rapporten visar olika steg i processen från beställning till leverans samt de metoder somanvänds för att nå det resultat beställaren önskar. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka socialarbetares förståelse av ensamkommande barns integration i det svenska samhället och de tillvägagångssätt olika aktörer, däribland socialarbetare, har när de arbetar med detta. Metoden som vi valde att använda var kvalitativ intervju och för att analysera resultaten använde vi oss av systemteori och empowerment. Resultaten visar att språk, skola och en meningsfull fritid var viktiga delar för barnens integration i samhället. Socialarbetarna i vår studie uppgav att de inte arbetar praktiskt med barnens integration, att det är boendepersonalen/familjehemmet och de gode männen som ansvarar för detta. Viktiga slutsatser i studien var att intresset för de ensamkommande barnen var svagt från samhällets sida och att socialarbetarna ansåg att de dokument som används inte alltid var anpassade för de ensamkommande barnen.

 Det finns många metoder att ta till för att värdera ett företag. Teoretiskt sätt bör många av de etablerade metoderna ge snarlika resultat, men i praktiken kan resultaten skilja sig åt av den anledningen att olika metoder tar olika faktorer i beaktning. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka möjligheten att värdera ett företag med två olika metoder och använda börsvärdet som bedömningsgrund för resultaten. Undersökningen har genomförts med en kvantitativ ansats genom att studera befintlig litteratur och forskning om ämnet för att sedan appliceras på verkliga företag och därmed utvärdera dessa. Teorin som studerades i litteraturen behandlar fria kassaflöden samt residualvinster vilket används som bas för företagsvärderingarna.

The aim of this paper is to make an investigation of how authoritative conceptual framework about immigrants as a group is being constituted in the discourse regarding Swedish language for immigrants. I will also examine what connections there are to the overarching integration discourse. While doing this I try to establish the contrasting relationship between the ?Swedishness? and ?the Other?. My theoretical framework consists of discussions regarding groups and the relation to homogeneity or heterogeneity in various ways and how We tend to construct the discourse in relation to the Other.

För att tillverkande företag ska kunna fortsätta vara konkurrenskraftiga i tider där tillgången på billig arbetskraft ökar, med ökad konkurrens som följd, är det viktigt att nya strategier utvecklas för att säkerställa långsiktig överlevnad. En strategi för detta är att integrera varor och tjänster som tillsammans skapar bättre erbjudanden med ökat kundvärde. Syftet med arbetet är att få kunskap om ett tillverkande företag har de förutsättningar som krävs för ett erbjudande där vara och tjänst är fullständigt integrerade. Studiens forskningssyfte har varit undersökande samt beskrivande med en deduktiv teorianvändning. En kvalitativ forskningsmetod har använts vid studien, där forskningsstrategin utgjorts av en enskild fallstudie.

Många små- och medelstora företag har idag en hemsida. För att en hemsida skall vara ett effektivt kommunikationsmedium med kunder krävs dock att den är uppdaterad. Vi anser att många företag ej förutser vilka resurser som krävs för att hålla sidan uppdaterad. Vi vill därför kartlägga vilka problem företag i dagsläget upplever att de har med sitt uppdateringsarbete. Vi vill därefter se om det finns en möjlig lösning i verktyget Smelink WEB ifrån Smelink AB, som säger sig underlätta webbnärvaron för denna typ av företag.

När en grupp utvecklare jobbar med samma kodbas kan konflikter uppstå med avseende på implementationen av moduler eller delsystem som varje utvecklare individuellt jobbar på. Dessa konflikter måste snabbt lösas för att projektet ska fortskrida och inte stagnera. Utvecklare som sällan kommunicerar framför ofta okompatibla moduler eller delsystem som kan vara svåra eller omöjliga att integrera i kodbasen, detta leder ofta till s.k. ?integration hell? där det kan ta väldigt lång tid att anpassa ny kod till en befintlig kodbas. En strategi som man kan ta till är ?continuous integration?, ett arbetssätt som erbjuder en rad fördelar när man jobbar i grupp på en gemensam kodbas.

This paper examines if European integration has had an impact on national political parties by looking at the stances of the Swedish Green Party and the Left Party on the issue of the European Community and the European Union over time. With the development of the European Community and the European Union, national political parties face the challenge of an emerging political arena. European integration research has recently become more involved with what is called europeanization and political integration within the member states them self, this paper aims to provide further leverage to the thesis that national political actors undergo some degree of europeanization and are politically integrated in the EU, by examining manifestos of two historically eurosceptic Swedish political parties. The theoretical framework provided by neo-functional integration theory as well as europeanization is used to examine the empirical material in order to see if the political parties at the focal point of this study can be said to have undergone a change in political policy regarding the EC and EU, both in quantity and content. The analysis show that indeed both parties has undergone a change and what might be considered a europeanization, considering that the presence of the EU as a political issue seem to have risen in prominence and importance in the examined manifestos.

This thesis in sociology was based on a qualitative research strategy. Its intention was to analyze how a specific county in the middle of Sweden work to make the integration process of the unaccompanied refugee youths, with a Swedish residence permit, as good as possible, the other intention was to find out the possible following of this work.Interviews were done and statistics were found, this later on became analyzed together with the theories. The basic theories were integration and class theory.The mainly finding in this study was that that the integration of the unaccompanied refugee children leads them into a lower society class of the Swedish community. This since these youth are more of less forced to follow some steps in the education, which for many of them will lead to that they are too old to apply to the national gymnasium in Sweden, and therefore they only get education though the introduction program, which is not leading to a graduation from the gymnasium. Because of this they are not getting the same chances to succeed with the same kind of education as youth on other programs in the Swedish gymnasium..

To create fair conditions between majority and minority in Sweden is a challeging project. Male immigrants usually do not get same opportunities for a success identity structure and integration into Swedish society as women and children. The aim of this thesis is therefore to critically examine and analyse the processes regarding identity structure and integration for male immigrants with a specific focus on Helsingborg. The object of this study is Mansgrupp, a project which helps men to build up a secure ground for identity structure and which further helps them to integrate into the society. To be able to reach the results I have made a literature study as well as a minor field study in Helsingborg, where I conducted interviews with men from the above mentioned project.
