Retorik i praktik : Postproduktion av ljud & bild i dokumentärfilm
I detta kandidatarbete svarar vi på frågan ?Hur använder man postproduktion som ett retoriskt verktyg för att förstärka en dokumentärfilms budskap??. Retorik står i konflikt med dokumentärfilm. Vi anser att retoriken vill påverka medan en dokumentär vill undervisa. Med hjälp av Aristoteles tre grundlagar för retorik, ethos, logos och pathos, försöker vi påverka tittarens tycke om en dokumentärfilms budskap via postproduktion.

Level: Bachelor thesis in Marketing, (15 Swedish credits), Spring 2009 Key words: Media, media noice, communication tool, communication chanel, startling, advertising, advertisingfilled, message Question: How does the message from companies reach out to the customers in a advertisingfilled community? Purpose: To examine how the companies should use marketing to attract attention in a fast developed community and in that way reach the customers. Theoretical framework: The theory describes the media develop and the effective parts of different media channels. How the media noice looks today and how the customers choose with emotion and needs. Methodology: We used a deductive approach as a starting point and after that study five different companies in border of media, advertising and event. Empirical framework: Based on theory have we study five companies, Starcom, Picnic kommunikation AB, Klassons Mediabyrå, 7billion and Hansens. All companies are in the border of media, advertising and event. Conclusions: The most important of our study of marketing is to proceed from the potential customers needs because the advertising is very individual. To catch the customers attention is new, fast and effective communication channels very important.

Marketing of education is a phenomenon which has been developed throughout the increasing competition within the educational sector. The focus of this paper is the marketing made by upper secondary schools (grade 10-12) in Stockholm. The competition in this area is increasing partly due to the growing number of private schools. However, this is a phenomenon seen only in larger cities with several schools available. There are over 170 upper secondary schools in Stockholm and the students freely can choose among these.

This paper describes the development of a simulation model for the ambulance flow in the Västra Götalands-region of Sweden, and an analysis tool for the output of the simulation model. The aim of the simulation model was to be able to evaluate the outcome from changes in the ambulance operations, such as a reorganization of ambulances or an increase in intensity of the ambulance calls. This evaluation is meant to serve as decision support for the strategic planning of the ambulance operations. The analysis tool was developed to visualize the abundant geographical data produced by the simulation model in a meaningful way. The simulation model was validated against historical data which showed that the dispatch time for the highest prioritized ambulance calls corresponds well with historical data.

The purpose of this study was to examine how Swedish newspapers framed the campaign Earth Hour. Did media encourage their audience to join in and how did they create a sense of togetherness regarding the campaign?The theories connected to the study are media logic, media events, identity and the media, collective togetherness, symbolic interactionism and discourse. The method used was a qualitative discourse analysis. We analysed three Swedish newspapers: Aftonbladet, Barometern and Svenska Dagbladet.
Val av kommunikationsmedia i en affärskontext
Vårt syfte är att undersöka huruvida det är möjligt att identifiera variabler som påverkar valet av kommunikationsmedia där kontexten utgörs av en affärsrelation. Vi strävar efter att i vår slutsats kunna presentera en viss vägledning i valet av kommunikationsmedia. I denna studie har ett kvalitativt angreppssätt använts. För att skapa en teoretisk förankring har vi behandlat relevant och aktuell litteratur bestående av i huvudsak vetenskapliga artiklar och böcker. Som metod för att besvara vårt syfte har vi även använt oss av intervjuer.
Hur datakommunikationssäkerheten påverkas vid införandet av en meddelandeförmedlare
IT-system i de flesta organisationer består ofta av en stor mängd olika applikationer som är utvecklade under åren med varierad teknik på olika plattformar. Applikationerna kommunicerar med varandra över ett datanätverk, med den information och teknik som passade för ändamålet då de utvecklades. In a time when concern for the environment is a topic that is met with both love and hatred, organic goods and services become increasingly common on the market. Communication efforts with the purpose of increasing the proportion of organic products consumed are being conducted by both private and public actors. However, achieving attitudinal and behavioral change within complex areas such as this comes with many difficulties.Within public opinion change, a common way of achieving a change in behavior is to use fear appeals and scare tactics. Earlier studies have shown that messages prompting a low level of fear can be more effective than messages prompting a high level of fear, since a high level of fear tends to raise defense mechanisms in the consumer. The purpose of this essay is to examine whether fear and defense mechanisms is a problem when it comes to making consumers choose organic products, as well as studying whether messages prompting low levels of fear are more effective than those prompting high levels of fear.This quantitative study is conducted in the form of a questionnaire-based experiment, comparing the effectiveness of two messages prompting different levels of fear.
Mikrosensorer i nätverk
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility to make small, cheap and ultra low power sensor platforms, connected in wireless networks for monitoring of home and industrial environments. The concept is based on ideas from our supervisor, Jerry Lindblom. The developed system consists of a generic platform for different sensors, a receiver and software. A GPRS module from RO Rollytech AB and a database from Gema Industri AB have been modified and used to demonstrate an example of a complete system. To the platform, it is possible to connect any resistive sensor and any sensor that can act as a switch.
