Forces of innovation alter the course of many industries. Currently there is a restructuring of the Swedish energy sector due to deregulation. This in combination with advanced technologies generates an innovative and a highly changeable environment. The result is differentiation of services and products. New actors are emerging and corporations grow larger.

Bakgrund/problem: Innovativa entreprenöriella företag skapar både tillväxt och arbetstillfällen i de samhällen de verkar i. Det är därför viktigt för vår välfärd att den typen av företag bildas och lyckas etablera sig. Att starta ett innovativt entreprenöriellt bolag är dock riskfyllt eftersom många nystartade företag går i konkurs. Forskare har på senare år visat att en bra affärsmodell är väldigt viktigt för nystartade företag och modeller har tagits fram för hur en affärsmodell ska utvecklas för att göra ett nystartat företag framgångsrikt. Innovativa entreprenöriella företag möter dock utmaningar som andra företag slipper och de affärsmodeller som tagits fram för vanliga entreprenöriella företag kan därför antas vara otillräckliga för de som ska starta ett innovativt entreprenöriellt företag.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the theoretical developments on social entrepreneurship. Our purpose is to create a better understanding of the phenomenon leading to new insights. We have categorized the knowledge of the concept into social economy, social ownership, social innovation and social missions. Drawing from our theoretical review we have chosen four empirical illustrations, Grameen Bank, Wikipedia, Basta Arbetskooperativ, Jörn Hälsogemenskap, and we have shown how these fit into the general description of the social entrepreneur. With help of our illustrations we show that it is complicated to pin point the core of social entrepreneurship as they each have separate structures, innovations, social missions and operate close to different sectors.

Informationsteknik (IT) är en marknad som förändras snabbt. Att investera i IT kan därför vara kritiskt. Att ha en strategi för hur satsningar på IT ska göras kan minska risken för felinvesteringar på IT men strategin kan även ge andra fördelar. Att ha en IT-strategi innebär dock inte automatiskt att den ger fördelar. IT-strategin bör även användas.

Metod:De metoder som används i denna uppsats är dels en kvalitativ intervju men även kvantitativa enkätundersökningar bland studenter och från arbetsmarknaden.Slutsats:Innovationsprogrammets studenters osäkerhet ligger i att det inte finns en tydlig bild av vad de kan tänkas jobba med i framtiden.

Alla organisationer, oavsett verksamhetsinriktning, är i behov av att planera sin verksamhet. En särskild form av planering som fokuserar på den närmsta framtiden är budgetering. Budgeteringens betydelse varierar från organisation till organisation och diskussioner kring budgeteringens syften och om företeelsen är under utveckling eller avveckling förekommer ? men i de flesta verksamheter utgör budgetar och den process som leder fram till dem en viktig del av den ekonomiska styrningen.Författarna till den föreliggande studien undersökte ett företags befintliga budgetsystem och dess funktioner och analyserade det innovativa klimatet på arbetsplatsen. Författarna undersökte även korrelationen mellan budgetsystemet och innovation; vilka innovationsfrämjande respektive innovationshämmande effekter systemet har samt om och i så fall hur budgetsystemet kan användas som ett verktyg för att stärka det innovativa klimatet på företaget.

Fo?rfattarna till detta examensarbete har intresserat sig o?ver hur innovationer kan sprida sig till olika nationer genom exempelvis sma? innovativa verksamheter. I denna forskningsstudie underso?ker fo?rfattarna hur innovationer sprider sig till andra nationer och om innovationsspridningen kan relateras till en internationaliseringsmodell, delforskningsfra?gan grundar sig i Rothwells femte generationens innovationsprocess. Fo?rfattarna har valt att anva?nda sig av en kvalitativ metod, med en deduktiv ansats da?r underso?kningen har sin utga?ngspunkt fra?n teorin.

The purpose with this report is to highlight the value which Enterprise Architecture (EA) can bring,including the effects that can emerge, for a business. In the report we also study how Enterprise Architecturemay serve as basis for generating even more business value. The study is based on a theoretical frameworkwhich covers the following perspectives; architecture design, strategy development, management of changeand evaluation of IT-investments. Gathering and analysis of empirical data has been performed using acustom-developed model which is based on a model from Sogeti called Dynamic Architecture (van DenBerg and van Steenbergen, 2006) and Innovation Value Institute?s maturity curve (Innovation ValueInstitute, 2008) for Enterprise Architecture management.Explaining the value of Enterprise Architecture is invariably an important topic since many organizationsexpect to be able to generate quick value of the investments made in Enterprise Architecture.

The study aims to illustrate how women victims of male violence in intimate relationships are treated during the legal process and with professional perspective describe what women?s experiences considered to be in the legal process. The study also aims to draw attention to the interventions for abused women during the legal process.The results are based on interviews with professionals in the justice system, and on observations in the courtroom. Overall our results show that abused women are in need of a great quantity of help and support before, during and after the negotiation. The legal process is very stressful for the women.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the information need of the incubators that comes from Chalmers University of Technology and are situated at Chalmers Innovation. It is also of interest to investigate how Chalmers University Library covers this information need. The investigation was carried out using qualitative interviews with representatives of the incubators. They were asked questions about the perceived need of information and which type of contacts they had with the library. The result is that the incubators feel that there is a great need for business information that is hard to find.

The purpose of this study is to investigate ethnic discrimination in the recruitment process. National and international law protect individuals from ethnic discrimination by potential employers during the recruitment process.Despite the laws in place to protect human rights, minorities in society do not have the same opportunities in the labor market as the rest of the population. Minorities continue to have difficulties compared to Swedish nationals in the recruiting process. Highly educated immigrants seeking employment in Sweden continue to report being treated unfairly based on their ethnic background.Ethnic discrimination in the recruiting process is based on prejudice and stereotypes that affect decisions whether it is visible or hidden, intentional or unintentional.Under the law, it is not legal to base a decision on prejudices or stereotypes. Therefore, it is important for the employer to highlight the job requirements to ensure the recruitment process is ethical.

The purpose of this study is from a case study develop a model that aims to cost effectively improve productivity in a manufacturing production process. The study highlights the importance of having knowledge about customer needs and using a holistic process perspective when improving productivity to identify the relations between the process stations and by this find problems that cause waste and losses in productivity. Tools and methods used to make production more efficient such as single minute exchange of die, spaghetti diagram, 5s and master production schedule is presented an applied in the model to see how these effect costs, productivity etc.Maintenance effects on quality and productivity in a manufacturing company will as well be covered in this thesis. The results and conclusions finally reveals how the process improvement tools, maintenance and production planning for example effects each other and why it is important to establish an attitude in the company where continuous process improvement should be emphasized..

People are given better opportunities to participate in polity today. Democratic equality entails that all individuals are equal and therefore they should be included in the process of making the decisions. How can participation be defined and does it mean that having the possibility to participate means that people can influence the process of making the decisions in polity process?This paper focuses on participation and influence in polity and examine the relationship between having the possibility to participate and having the possibility to actually influence polity process on more local level. Therefore I have been examining the citizens? participation and influence in Helsingborg which is my case study.

 The sawmill industry is a relative fragmented industry that is in an economic upswing andwith a hard competition. The customers have high demands on their suppliers and the highcustomer demand make it necessary for the companies to make a streamlining in planningand production. For that reason it is very important that the planning- and productionprocesses aren?t to complex and with a simple structure.The purpose of this report is to study and map out a marked out part of a planning- andproduction process, from adjust works to final delivery, at a company in the sawmill industry.Different methods have been used for the report, among others interviews and subordinatedmaterial.We have mapped out a marked out part of the planning- and production process at theCompany. This part we have studied, and we have analysed the process it self and otherthings connected to the process.We see the planning- and production process in the Company as complex.

Genom ett eget utformat dokument av författarna baserat av PDCA-metoden, visar studiens utfall att implementering av innovationsteknik är fullt möjligt i ett byggföretag som Garant Bygg & Bad. PDCA-dokumentet främjar dessutom innovationsförmågan i förbättringsprocesser i det valda företaget. Till en början bör byggföretag fokusera på små förbättringar i innovationsarbetet, vilket är möjligt med PDCA-dokumentet. För att uppnå optimalt resultat av förbättringsverktyget PDCA anser författarna att vissa specifika punkter är avgörande. Dessa sammanfattas nedan:Ledarskap.
