The aim of this report is to improve the fire safety at Hallsta Paper Mill in Hallstavik, Sweden. In order to do so large parts of a fire-protection management system for the paper mill has been created. The report begins with giving a general description of management structures and fire-protection management systems. An account is given for how management structures are designed, and how they should be implemented, maintained and updated. Thereafter follows a description of what routines and instructions should be included in a fire-protection management system..

This is a dissertation for a Bachelor Degree Project at the University of Skövde. The project is carried out in cooperation with the company Kinnarps AB.The objective of this project was to develop a new chair for café and lunch rooms, which should satisfy the markets expectations and demands and match Kinnarps AB?s assortment today. The project has contained everything from identification of user and customer needs and requirements to evaluation and building of a prototype.The result is a chair with a frame of tubular steel and there is nothing like it in Kinnarps AB?s assortment today.

ABSTRACTPurpose: The purpose of the study was threefold. Firstly, to investigate if a four week program in pain rehabilitation had any effect on how much individuals with persistent pain worked and their degree of kinesiophobia. Secondly, to study if there was a correlation between how much these individuals worked and their degree of kinesiophobia. Thirdly, to study if there was a correlation between the change in these variables.Method: 112 patients who had participated in a four week rehabilitation program took part in the study. The study had a retrospective design, which was based on a review on medical records and consisted of three minor parts.

Denna fallstudie utreder hur ett företag expanderar via ett innovativt projekt. Genom observationer, intervjuer och återberättelser har studien en etnografisk ansats för att skapa en bild av hur ett sådant projekt kan gå till och hur dess olika processer ser ut. Syftet med studien är att utifrån begreppen: innovation, projekt, projektledning och kunskapsöverföring analysera hur företaget Josephssons genomfört lanseringen av Josephssons Webshop och på vilket sätt det pågående innovativa projektet e?handel genomförs. Författarna har genom en litterär fördjupning av de olika begreppen skaffat sig en teoretisk referensram som sedan använts för att analysera det empiriska materialet.

Denna studie behandlar frågor om media, ideal och ungdomar. Media har stor betydelse i dagens samhälle och förmedlar bilder av utseendet som skapar olika ideal. Ungdomar är mer mottagliga för dessa ideal eftersom de befinner sig i en period i livet när de försöker finna sin egen stil. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur tv presenterar utseendet i de tv- program som ungdomar tittade på. Vi genomförde en mindre enkätundersökning som visade att ungdomarna såg mest på tv-programmen Idol 2005, Vänner och OC.

Whole language is basically a literacy program and approaches literacy from a holistic point of view. Children learning to read and write should do so in the same natural way children learn to speak their native language which is in the context of authentic language as a whole. Detta examensarbete har haft till syfte att åskådliggöra eventuella skillnader och/eller likheter i den upplevda användbarheten vid användandet av en webbplats skapad via mobile first design och desktop first design. Målsättningen med examensarbetet har varit att ta fram en hifi-prototyp, skapad utifrån mobile first design, som visualiserade ett designförslag för flygfotoföretaget HimlaFotos startsida. Jämförelsen har utgått ifrån en egendefinierad version av begreppet användbarhet baserad på ISO:s definition, där användbarhet består av tre faktorer; kraftfullhet, effektivitet och tillfredställelse. För att samla in data om den upplevda användbarheten har användartester genomförts. Flera likheter har identifierats gällande användbarhetsmåtten kraftfullhet och effektivitet, medan skillnader har funnits vid måttet för tillfredställelse.

This report contains a degree project made by the mechanical engineering students Lennart Andersson and Daniel Jansson. The project has performed in assignment by SOMAS Valves AB in Säffle. SOMAS are leading in development on control and on/off valves. To maintain this position they always want to improve their products. One way in this development is valves that are more tightened.The purpose with our project was to investigate another seat design on a HiCo (High Cobalt Alloy) seat to a SKV 150 PN 25 valve and compare this to an original HiCo seat.By modifying the seat on a ball valve we want to achieve a valve that leaks lesser then a valve whit original seat.

In today?s society computers are getting a much more important role. To get a computer to work as intended it has to be programmed. A computer program is written with programming languages. There is an abundance of programming languages available today and there are many differences and similarities between them. The different languages have their advantages and their disadvantages where some of them are intended for fast performance, some to be cheap on memory usage, and some are developed to be easy to program on. In our thesis we have chosen to compare four of todays most common languages, C, C++, Java and Python.

The scoop of this work is also to improve the possibilities to chart, analyze and present the vulnerability in a power grid. In this report it has been, using power outage statistics, possible to verify, that network theories can be used to evaluate the vulnerability of an infrastructure network. This report examines the industrialization of a newly developed household machine on behalf of Technogarden Engineering Resources in Karlstad, Sweden. The report is a part of the final course in the Bachelor Program in Mechanical Engineering at Karlstad University and takes place in spring 2014.An innovator, an investor and a engineering consultant firm have through collaboration developed a new type of gruel machine. The product is in its final stage of construction and is planned to be manufactured in a production located in Sweden, autumn of 2014.To compete against today?s trend in outsourcing manufacturing to low cost countries for better profitability, the industrialization of the gruel machine must be done with a minimum amount of resources in order to become successful, which also describes the problem of this study. Using pre-study material in form of Lean production literature, visiting a successful production site and gathering data from involved engineers a specification was developed which describes what this industrialization must achieve and which requests can be accomplished.
