ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to explore nurses' experiences of informing relatives to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).MethodThe study was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Nine nurses were interviewed. The study took place in a university hospital in the midst of Sweden. An interview guide was used, designed in consensus with the study questions. Data was analyzed via qualitative content analysis.FindingsMeeting and preparing relatives at the arrival at the ICU seemed valuable and led to safety and participation among relatives.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka orsaker som hindrar ett företag att effektivt utnyttja sin business intelligence-process samt hur ett företag bör agera för att skapa högre effektivitet i business intelligence-processen. En fallstudie valdes som forskningsstrategi med kvalitativ empirisk data, vilken samlades in genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer med användare av business intelligence-processen. Studien visade att orsaker som hindrar ett företag att effektivt utnyttja sin business intelligence-process var: avsaknad av inriktning för insamling av information, överflöd av information hos beslutsfattare men samtidigt brist på information inom vissa områden. Det var heller inte klarlagt vem som skall ta del av vilken information, en central lagringsplats för omvärldsinformation saknades, underrättelserna var inte alltid anpassade till beslutsfattarna, ansvarsområden inom processen var oklara och stöd saknades från ledningen. För att skapa en effektiv business intelligence- process visade studien, att ett företag bör arbeta efter en processcykel med klara ansvarsområden, en väldefinierad inriktning för insamlingen av data och information, en väl utkommunicerad lagringsplats för information om omvärlden, analyser som täcker användares olika behov, kontinuerlig kommunikation mellan BI-enheten och beslutsfattare samt säkerställa att tillräcklig med resurser allokeras till business-intelligence processen..

Nine out of ten larger companies have an intranet today which is supposed to improve the communication withinthe company and save money. A great part of these intranets were established in the beginning of the 1990?swithout giving any thought to the users and their needs. How does the communication inside the corporationslook like when the intranets that are supposed to be the source for every information request, aren?t usable? Whatother sources do the users use and how much?The aim of this master thesis is to examine information source selection at a specific company.

Kreditbedömningar har utvecklats genom tiderna, detta speciellt efter en ekonomisk kris på 1990-talet. Bankerna har försökt hitta bättre metoder för kreditbedömning för att förhindra motsvarande situation. Ett sätt har varit att lägga mer fokus på icke-finansiell information för att kunna bedöma eventuella framtida händelser. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva vilka faktorer som påverkar bankernas kreditbedömning för nya respektive etablerade företag. Ämnesområdet kreditbedömning har studerats tidigare men vi ville koppla samman finansiell och icke-finansiell information med nya och etablerade företag.

I Sverige drabbas 60-70 % av befolkningen någon gång i livet av ländryggssmärta, av dessa blir 90 % besvärsfria inom tre månader medan resterande får bestående eller återkommande problem. Patienters föreställningar om ländryggssmärta är viktiga för hur de förhåller sig till och hanterar sin smärta, föreställningar i sin tur har visats kunna påverkas av information. Syfte: syftet med studien var dels att undersöka och beskriva aspekter av föreställningar om ländryggssmärta och dels kunskap om ryggens struktur/funktion samt erhållen/sökt information om ländryggssmärta, hos patienter med långvarig ländryggssmärta som har sjukgymnastkontakt. Metod: i studien inkluderades 49 patienter med långvarig ländryggssmärta som sökt sjukgymnastkontakt på öppenvårdsmottagningar. Mätinstrument: svensk version av Back Beliefs Questionnaire (S-BBQ) användes för att mäta föreställningar om ländryggssmärta och dess konsekvenser för det fortsatta livet.
