The Swedish traffic system is congested, especially in the urban areas; travellers face daily growing traffic jams and delays in public transport. In a congested traffic system, travellers need support to make smart and sustainable decisions and one such tool is traffic information.One issue today is that too few travellers use traffic information in support of their travel. Research shows that travellers would see great value in receiving the information; however current systems do not meet their requirements. This is a problem since the society would benefit greatly from a well functioning traffic information system.In this report, a number of channels that can be applicable for providing traffic information will be explored, with particular emphasis on interference information.The information channels are analyzed based upon the needs and requirements of the society and the traveller. The thesis of the report is: the more of these needs and requirements are met in a channel; the better is the channel to use for traffic information.

Bakgrund Stroke är en sjukdom som inte bara drabbar den sjuke utan det drabbar även i stor utsträckning de närstående. För att kunna möta de närståendes behov är det viktigt att sjuksköterskan har förståelse för deras situation och upplevelser. Syfte Att beskriva de upplevelser som närstående till personer med stroke har i kontakt med vården och i hemmet. Metod Studien är en litteraturstudie som baserats på kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar, vilka analyserades med hjälp av en manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys inspirerad av Graneheim och Lundman (2003). Resultat Närstående till personer som drabbats av stroke upplevde brister när det gäller information och stöd från sjukvården och de upplevde även ensamhet och isolering, att de hade lite tid för sig själva samt att de kände oro och osäkerhet inför framtiden.

Sammandrag Detta examensarbete handlar om elever som har ett annat modersmål än svenska och deras utveckling av andraspråket. Jag vill i mitt arbete visa hur man enligt litteratur och forskning rekommenderar att främja andraspråkselevernas språkutveckling och göra en jämförelse hur man arbetar i verkligheten. Litteratur och forskning ställs emot hur fyra lärare arbetar på en invandrartät skola. Lärarna arbetar alla på samma lågstadieskola och informationen de gav mig fick jag genom individuella intervjuer. Mitt arbete speglar både likheter och olikheter mellan de två parterna; litteratur och intervjuade lärare.

Studies in the field of interaction design and the human memory claim there can be positive effects on the memory when information is presented for the user as a graphical pattern rather than a series of numbers. This thesis aims to influence designers to choose graphical patterns as an interface for information display. Low-fi and hi-fi prototypes of graphical patterns were constructed and tested in a variety of configurations by two users. The users showed differences in the ability to memorize a sequence of digits depending on how this sequence was presented. This study suggests that users are more easily able to recall information presented via a graphical user interface than when the same information is only presented digitally..

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva närståendes upplevelse av professionellt stöd vid palliativ vård i hemmet. Studien är baserad på tretton vetenskapliga artiklar som är analyserade med en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: att vården är tillgänglig, att ha delat ansvar, att bli respekterad och känna sig delaktig och att få information och förstå. Resultatet visar att det finns ett stort behov av professionellt stöd för att de närstående ska kunna hantera situationen. Att få information på flera olika sätt var viktigt för att kunna hantera situationen på ett bra sätt och minskade rädslan att vårda den anhörige.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the Swedish Institute of public health care uses paternalistic information in their alcohol publications. My intention has also been to examine to what extent the paternalistic information is being used. This is determined simply by how frequently paternalistic information is found in the publications. I chose to analyse five publications that contain alcohol related information and had a clear motive. My results show that all five publications use paternalistic methods with the intention to change readers, or people in their surroundings, alcoholic behaviour. Though this is quite a small essay, I have suggested extended research of the subject ? preferably of all 176 alcoholic publications presented by the Institute of public health care..

The purpose of this thesis is to examine Skogsstyrelsens event Skogens Dag as an information channel by looking at information use and information behaviour during the communication process of the event. This is done by examining the aims of Skogsstyrelsens information distribution during the event in relation to its outcomes. The evaluation is focused on long term effects on the target group and it is restricted to Skogens Dag in Borås 2005. The question this thesis intends to answer is: How does the event Skogens Dag function as a tool for information distribution? The theoretical background gives an account of the communication process as well as the relevant aspects of marketing, social marketing, campaigns and public relations, as these are communication attempts that can use an event as a medium.

The management of assets in organisations today can be a challenging task and optimising their usage is critical to ensure maximum profit. For rental businesses offering tangible products efficient management of movable assets are an essential part of the business strategy. The main purpose of this study is to investigate how asset management and asset information management can be carried out in rental businesses and in what ways information technology can support it. By doing a literature review combined with a case study where three rental businesses and their use of information technology were examined we could identify several important aspects regarding asset information management. The results we have found is that rental businesses with a high degree of digitization in existing asset information management systems are able to rationalize existing work processes, which in some ways changes the roles of employees.

Idag finns vetenskaplig evidens för att livsstilsförändringar kan sänka blodtrycket hos patienter med hypertoni. Rekommendationer vid behandling av hypertoni är i första hand hälsosamma livsstilsförändringar. Syftet var att belysa faktorer som påverkade patienters följsamhet till livsstilsförändringar vid hypertoni. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie. Databearbetning gjordes utifrån 15 vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syftet med studien är att erhålla ökad kunskap om funktionsnedsattas stöd för lärande i arbetet. Strukturerade intervjuer med öppna frågor genomfördes med personer med cerebral pares, kongenital myopati och ryggmärgsbråck, tre av dessa på respektive arbetsplats samt två i hemmiljö. Materialet bearbetades sedan utifrån en hermeneutisk forskningstradition i två kvalitativt skilda kategorier. Ansatsen belyser allmän verksamhetsteori och ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande via talspråk och praktisk handling. De funktionsnedsattas uppfattning av fenomenet visar att lärande sker via talspråk och praktisk handling.

Vårt syfte med följande arbete är att undersöka pedagogernas upplevelse av och deras syn på begreppen omsorg och kunskap i träningsskolan samt gymnasiesärskolan. Vi har valt en kvalitativ analysmetod och en fenomenologisk ansats då vi söker upplevelser och tolkningar av mötet mellan elev och pedagog. Vi vill beskriva det som pedagogerna upplever som verklighet, vilket de i sin tur bygger sin verksamhet på. Mönstret som träder fram i vår studie är att medvetenheten är stor bland pedagoger. By tradition, archival sciences has emerged in a context with defined information processes, with explicit information producers and custodians to which consumers make requests for the information. In this process, the archival science has developed methods and strategies to preserve authentic and reliable records and by that providing trustworthy information. In an online society, people are using the internet to get information for different purposes. Even though there is no legal obligation to guarantee the authenticity, it is of societal importance that the end users get trustworthy information. In this online context, open data is a trend that is growing fast over the world and it is interesting because its conditions raises many questions regarding authenticity.Since open data is free to reuse, link and combine with other information, and it is preferably in primary format it raises questions about how to maintain the integrity and identity of the information, which is the constituents of authenticity as it is used in this work.

Bakgrund: The Standish Group, CompTI, (Computing Technology Industry Association) och Good ? to ? great visade i sina studier att de främsta faktorerna för ett lyckat IT-projekt handlar om att bjuda in aktörerna i utvecklingsarbetet, förbättra kommunikationen mellan berörda parter samt att använda rätt personal på rätt plats. Detta medför att konsulten måste inneha en mellanmänsklig kunskap för att kunna förtydliga den kommunikation som uppstår vid interaktionen med användaren. Syfte: Att undersöka vilka mellanmänskliga kommunikationskunskaper yrkesverksamma systemvetare inom konsultbranschen upplever sig sakna och möjligtvis behöva efter avslutade studier i systemvetenskap.Metod: Intervjustudie med kvalitativ ansats baserad på fem intervjuer. Materialet har transkriberats, kodats och strukturerats enligt beskriven bearbetningsmetoden.Resultat: I resultatet framkom det två olika kategorier; viktiga aspekter och avsaknad av kunskaper.Slutsatser: Denna studie påvisar att konsulter saknar kunskaper inom mellanmänsklig kommunikation efter avslutade studier från olika systemvetenskapliga program i Sverige.
