Grundskollärares informationsbehov och informationsförsörjning: en intervjuundersökning ur ett rollperspektiv
This thesis deals with the information needs and information provision of teachers in compulsory school, from a role theoretical perspective. The object is to investigate teachers opinions on their information needs and information provision. The following questions have been used to approach the problem: Which are the information needs of teachers in compulsory school? How do teachers get the information they need? Which difficulties and deficiencies do teachers experience in their information provision, and what does the ideal situation look like? The theoretical frame of reference consists of a model of the information seeking of professionals, which is based on role theory. Qualitative interviews have been carried out with nine teachers.
Revisionsreglering i samspel med en finansiell kris
Studien ska undersöka avskaffandet av revisionsplikten och hur revisorer anser att denna reglering samspelar med rådande finansiella kris. Med ett induktivt angreppssätt gör vi en kvalitativ undersökning i form av semi-strukturerade intervjuer och en analys av den offentliga debatten. Intervjuerna analyseras med hjälp av fenomenologi och Grundad teori. Utgångspunkten i vårt teoretiska perspektiv är två studier, den av Puxty et al om de reglerande krafterna och den utförd av Jönsson som behandlar framväxten av regleringar. Studierna är vidareutvecklingar av bland annat den institutionella teori som Streecks & Schmitters utvecklat.
Marknadens reaktioner och företagens börsprestationer : En studie av successioner i små och stora bolag
Under senare år har verkställande direktörer omsatts i allt snabbare takt. Fenomenet kallas för VD-karusellen och syftar till att verkställande direktörer får ta allt större ansvar för utvecklingen på börsen. Marknaden i sin tur värdesätter den verkställande direktören vilket skapar reaktioner vid successioner. Detta kan anses paradoxalt eftersom den verkställande direktören påverkar hur marknaden värdesätter honom/henne.Syfte: Utifrån teorier och tidigare management forskning avser studien beskriva hur marknaden reagerar på successioner. Detta kombineras med hur företagen presterar efter successionen är genomförd.
Price transmission dynamics of Chinese ADRs listed on the NYSE
Purpose: This study aims to examine the price transmission among ADRs (American Depositary Receipts) and their underlying shares, US market index and Hong Kong market index. We will attempt to capture how a shock in the home market is transmitted to the foreign (and vice versa). In addition we will attempt to assess the relative weight of each variable in the system generating unexpected variations of its own and other variables and at what speed the shocks are absorbed.Methodology: ADF unit root test, Johansen?s co-integration test, Granger causality test, VECM, impulse response, variance decomposition Empirical foundation: Five Chinese ADRs listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Each ADR represents a specific industry.
Risk analysis and a study of risk awareness and risk communication at LEAF Gävle concerning dust explosions
The purpose of this report is to study the risk of dust explosions at the candy manufacturing plant Leaf Sverige in Gävle, Sweden. The risk analysis was conducted with a preliminary hazard analysis, PHA and event trees. The analysis focuses only on the risk posed to employees and material damages at the plant. No third person injuries have been considered. Another purpose of this report is to study risk awareness and risk communication concerning dust explosions.
En kommunal One Stop Shop: Kan en gemensam kundtjänst verka som motor för verksamhetsutveckling?
The aim of this study has been to examine if an implementation of a One Stop Shop in the public sector and its IT-support can serve as a motor for business development. By examine the relation between the One Stop Shop and the public administrations we have tried to answer this question. The municipality that we have examined underwent a big change, seven years ago, when they implemented a One Stop Shop including a IT-support called Flexite. But despite these seven years and the fact that Flexite has changed approach from a Case Management System to a Support System for Business Development the municipality have not adapted to this change. .
Uppfatta och reagera : En kvalitativ studie om IT-relaterade resursers roll i kundkännedomsprocesser och kundresponskapacitet
The structures of organizations have gone through a dramatic change over the last years; as a result customer service is no longer a small side activity but a critical part in customer relationship management. Development in information technology has created opportunities as well as challenges for organizations when it comes to providing a customer service with capacity of sensing and responding to customers' needs. Previous research shows a relationship between customer response capability and customer knowledge processeses, this study investigates and confirms this relationship. However, findings show that dedication and understanding for customers needs has a direct impact on both customer response capability and customer knowledge processeses, this result indicates that customer knowledge processes and customer relationship management are difficult to differentiate. Furthermore, this study explores IT-related resources impact on customer response capability and customer knowledge processes.
Ursäkta, är det min tur nu? - En undersökning av orsakerna till långa väntetider på en akutmottagning ur ett effektivitetsperspektiv
En upprörd patient sitter i väntrummet på en akutmottagning. Patienten har väntat på vård i flera timmar och äntligen kommer en sjuksköterska in. Patienten reser sig upp och bereder sig på att följa med. Tyvärr utropar sjuksköterskan någon annans namn och den väntande patienten frågar undrande: ?Ursäkta, när är det min tur?? Problem:Vi anser att det finns problem i arbetsprocessen på akutmottagningen som orsakar att patienten får vänta onödigt länge.

Risk management is a key competency that is constantly being researched how it can be improved within project management. The risk management process consists of four major steps: identify risks, assess the risks? significance on the project, evaluate and address the key risks and follow up.The majority of companies seem to neglect certain identified risks, and decide not to mitigate if the risk does not cause adverse effects to the business. To counteract undesirable consequences and help organisations to become more effective at managing risks an initial work has been conducted for a risk repository.The project develops a proposal on the design of a risk repository which aim to effectively support a database implementation. The study includes literature studies which resulted in a relational model for database implementation.
Bibliotek och intranät ? en fallstudie av intranätanvändandet i en biblioteksorganisation
This master?s thesis seeks to examine how a public library use the intranet with regards to the possibilities that today?s intranet technology offer ? especially concerning functionalities that support information, communication and knowledge exchange in the organization. The purpose of the study is to investigate how employees in one specific public library perceive and use the intranet in their daily work. The theoretical framework takes its point of departure in two complementing models regarding the implementation, development and management of intranets and a model of a multi perspective view of the intranet as a shared information space for content, communication and collaboration. The study is based on interviews with eleven of the intranet users, whom with the aid of an interview guide have been asked questions regarding goals, implementation, content, design, applications and advantages/disadvantages with the intranet.

In conjunction with an overview of the organizational structure of the municipality of Arvika the Balanced Scorecard was introduced as a management model. After the Balanced Scorecard has been in use over a period of years the conception of it varies throughout the organization.The purpose of this study is identifying which factors are facilitating and which factors are obstructing when implementing the Balanced Scorecard in the municipality of Arvika. This is a case study of the staff organization of the municipality of Arvika. The study is explanatory as our objective is to describe why the current situation appears as it does today. A qualitative method has been applied during this study.

Under de senaste sju åren har golfintresset i Sverige stadigt minskat. Denna studie tar upp möjligheten att genom en mer dynamisk prissättning återvinna golfintresset i Sverige och öka golfklubbars intäkter. För att åstadkomma detta utgår studien från att teorier om intäktsmaximering (revenue management), hämtade från besläktade branscher som flyg och hotell, även är applicerbara på golfbranschen. För att undersöka frågeställningen ?Hur kan en modell för ytterligare differentierad prissättning tas fram för den svenska golfmarknaden?? har en kvantitativ undersökning gjorts.
IT-styrning med ABC-metoden
Utvecklat en modell för att med hjälp av ABC-metoden fördela kostnader för en IT-avdelning och pröva modellens tillämpbarhet på ett fallföretag. Då fallföretaget har en betydande IT-avdelning där problem med kostnadsfördelning påträffas, var de lämpat för att testa modellen på. Uppsatsen resulterar i två slutsatser. Fallföretaget bör tidsredovisa för att lättare kunna kostnadsfördela. Dessutom presenteras en modell som kan tillämpas i företag som återfinns i liknande situationer..

In todays competitive business climate the concept of ?quality management? is a significant part of daily work for many companies, as they want to achieve high performance quality and delivery success. Within the services sector third-party logistics companies play an increasingly central role when it comes to the goods that are being transported. These companies are presented with continuous challenges to ensure that goods are loaded on trucks efficiently and delivered on time, at the right place and in the right condition. The present case study was conducted in collaboration with Schenker AB and Schenker Åkeri in Jönköping, to help these two company branches serving under the same major corporation to solve a common problem they both encounter, namely the fact that it regularly occurs handling abnormalities in the terminal process that affects overall quality for customers.The study aims to find out how the daily quality control concerning the handling of goods in the terminal process can be improved hopefully resulting in a higher quality in cargo shipments.
