Förgiftningar hos däggdjur som druckit vatten kontaminerat med cyanotoxiner har observerats världen över, och riskerar att öka i takt med tilltagande övergödning och klimatförändringar. Denna litteraturstudie inriktar sig på mikrocystin (MC) som är det vanligaste och mest studerade cyanotoxinet. Studien avgränsar sig till akut intoxikation hos däggdjur och fokuserar på grundläggande mekanismer hos toxinet, såsom absorption, distribution, metabolism och elimination. Vidare beskrivs de toxiska mekanismerna och de akuta toxiska effekterna. MC orsakar utbredda nekroser och blödningar i levern. Den specifika distributionen till levern anses bero på det höga uttrycket av organiska anjontransportörer (OATP).

Företag använder sig alltmer av ekonomisk information för att motivera sina anställda till ökad prestation på arbetsplatsen. Teorin menar att spridning av ekonomisk information medför delaktighet och på så vis blir motiverade att göra sitt yttersta på arbetsplatsen vilket i sin tur ska medföra att företagens effektivitet ökar. Är tillhandahållande av ekonomisk information en motiverande faktor? Studien visar att tillgång till ekonomisk information gör att de anställda känner sig delaktiga men att det inte alls behöver betyda att motivationen ökar. I vår studie har därmed har inte heller motivation genom ekonomisk information någon betydelse för företagets effektivitet..

I det här projektet har uppgiften varit att rena vattnet i Aqua Interiör i Laholms egen tillverkade vattenmöbel med hjälp av uv-ljus. Dessa möbler hyr de ut till kunder för att kunna få ett lagom kallt vatten med eller utan kolsyra. Vattenmöblerna är direkt kopplade till det befintliga vattensystemet. Ett problem som de tidigare haft är att de inte kunnat ha sina möbler på sjukhus eftersom möblens beskaffenhet medför en ökad bakteriehalt i vattnet.Denna bakteriehalt kommer dock inte upp till den gräns som livsmedelverkets satt som icke tjänligt. På sjukhus finns ett högre krav på vattnets kvalité där inga anmärkningar får finnas på vattnet.

When in the process of buying a product based high effort behavior, the consumer needs information to decide on which product that best satisfies their need. There is a wide arrange of sources where this could be found. One of the most important, due to the great influence it has on consumer choice, is in-store communications. This is also one of the least developed sources. It is not uncommon that the only facts that can be acquired are found on product packaging and from contact with the store´s staff.

Our society has become increasingly digitized, and all around us information flows constantly. Knowledge about valuing different sources of information, and not least the information itself, are becoming increasingly important. Media and information have come to play a big role in our society, and knowledge of media and information literacy becomes important to learn in school. High school students are at the beginning of their adult lives as educated citizens.In this study, we measured high school students experience of media and information literacy, during their three years in high school. Students answered a questionnaire, with questions based upon theoretical concepts in media and information literacy.

Under dessa tio minuter hinner en nätjournalist både att granska källan, kontakta eventuella vittnen, skriva nyheten och sedan publicera den.

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis is to examine university librarians? perceptions of information literacy, of students? information literacy and of education in information literacy. The focus is on how they perceive the students? information literacy development during their university studies. Also of interest in this study is how librarians think that their teaching in information literacy should be included in the students? other courses. Three librarians at a Swedish university library were interviewed using qualitative interviews.

Att leva med en kronisk sjukdom som hjärtsvikt innebär en ständig oro och ibland ångest. Information och undervisning om den förändrade livssituationen som sjukdomen medfört kan bidra till ökade möjligheter att uppleva hälsa i samband med denna kroniska sjukdom. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa människors upplevelse av information och undervisning i samband med hjärtsvikt. Resultaten baserades på 19 artiklar som sökts via databaserna Cinahl, SweMed+, Medline, Psyc Info men även manuell sökning i tidsskrifter vilka analyserades med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Fyra kategorier framkom i resultatet: att känna brist på och inte förstå information, att få individuellt anpassad information, att information ökar livskvalitén och att behov av information och undervisning är större efter utskrivning.

The distribution of work related tasks depending on gender leads to different appraisal depending on which gender is performing a task. This aim of this research is to study how gender differences influence task allocation within the restaurant industry. The study is inspired by a discourse analysis perspective complemented by constructivist and critical pragmatic theory. Interviews were conducted in two focus groups with seven participants in total. The analysis is divided into four sections which answer six discourse analytical questions using the interview material.

A two-factor design of experiments done on GGAB for the identification of two selected factors influence on the length of the scattering of heat exchanger gaskets. The work consists of four parts: study, choice of survey method, the performance of investigation and analysis of the results. Citizenship information is defined as the information the citizen needs to be able to take part in and influence the society. Since it is a democratic issue that information concerning the citizens role in society really reaches the citizens, it is of importance to study how the citizens proceed when they have a need for this information. The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate how our eight informers proceed when they experience this need in a non-work situation. We performed qualitative interviews. The most important part of our interviews was the introduction of some fictitious problems to the informants.

The aim of this Bachelor?s thesis is to obtain understanding and knowledge about how literary scholars collaborate regarding information. Seven scholars have been studied in the aim to find out social and cultural elements which create particular prerequisites for their practice, with focus on information sharing. The method used has consisted of semi-structured interviews. The informants have been studied from a socio cultural and domain analysis starting point, which means that they are studied in the light of being members in their practice.

Wind is used as an energy source all over the world. To be able to use this effectively, there is a need for as good forecasts and forecast models as possible. One of these models is Coupled Ocean/Atmosphere Mesoscale Prediction System (COAMPS®) that is used to calculate short time forecasts. This model is used here to calculate wind speeds at two different areas in Västra Götaland, Bengtsfors and Vänersborg. There are also wind measurements with SODAR stations for these areas.
