AbstractGlobalisation has lead to changes on many levels of our society; -industrial, technological, and corporate to name a few. This is an ongoing process which affects the society we live in today. The process is affecting the working-conditions for everyone through the changes of the relations on the working market. The unions have enjoyed a very special role in Sweden for a long time, but that role is now affected by these changes. The relationship between state and unions is changing, and the unions? influence in politics is decreasing.

The present study examines the effect of a nine-hour Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) intervention for teachers who experience stress. Twenty-two teachers from four different counties in southern Sweden were randomly allocated to an ACT intervention (n=15) and a control group (n=7). The ACT condition received three three-hour sessions of ACT over a six-week period, and the control group received a three-hour stress lecture at one occasion. At a follow-up four-weeks after completed intervention, ACT participants showed significant in-group differences on stress, psychological flexibility, general health, and burnout. At a between group comparison, only psychological flexibility was significantly enhanced at the follow-up.

The idea to write this essay came to mind, when we were asked to design the website of a new registered company named Artoteket. The company?s purpose is to hire out and market art on the Internet to bigger companies such as banks, law firms and industrial company?s etc.

Denna tekniska rapport behandlar ett examensarbete utfört på Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery i Finspång. Examensarbetets syfte var att utföra kortslutningsberäkningar samt att ta fram en selektivplan för det avbrottsfria kraftsystemet till en av Siemens gasturbiner. Gasturbinen står ofta långt ifrån kontrollrummet där den styrs ifrån och i rapporten har denna längd antagits till 400 m. Beräkningarna har inte skett på hela kraftsystemet utan en avgränsning till åtta olika delar har gjorts.Rapporten tar upp teorin för gasturbiner, kortslutningar, skyddsapparater och selektivitet. Även vilka olika typer av kortslutningar som finns och deras effekter behandlas.

They are also one of the leading names in certified third-party testing and inspection work.Today the ÅF Group has approximately 4,000 employees. Their base is in Europe, but their business and clients are found all over the world.A part of ÅF-Engineerings business is programming different automation systems to clients. Another part is support in both telephone and personal visits.Because the number of clients is high and the flora of different automation systems is big the consequence is that the employees must have access to many licenses with programming tools.

The purpose of the following study is to examine whether or not differences can be found between a group of aspiring police students (N=59) and a student group (N=20). Comparisons were made between the following variables: general illhealth, subjective experienced stress, trait anxiety and the three coping strategies, which are emotion focused coping, problem focused coping and seeking social support. In addition the results were compared with former research on the general illhealth and trait anxiety of the police students with that of a group police officers with several years of experience (N=69).The result of this showed that the police students had a significantly better level of general than the studentgroup. Several positive relations between the variables were found, among others between illhealth and trait anxiety, subjective experienced stress and trait anxiety and also between different types of coping strategies and subjective experienced stress..

Vacuum box leak testing is, because of geometrical problems, not always possible andtherefore an alternate test method with dye penetrant is used. DEKRA Industrial has identifieda need for quality assurance of the method and development of a written procedure withguidelines that lead to more uniform ways of testing.A literature study was done to get a general overview of nondestructive testing (NDT) and tosee how the method is used in different applications. European and American standards werestudied. Analytical and numerical solutions, involving flow simulation, were deemed to berather difficult and beyond the scoop of this project. Thus the problems had to be solved byusing experimental methods.

Det här examensprojektet har utförts på Volvo CE, Hauler & Loader Division, Arvika. Projektet ingick som ett avslutande moment i maskiningenjörsprogrammet vidKarlstads universitet. Volvo i Arvika tillverkar hjullastare vilket man har gjort sedan mitten av 60-talet. Fabriken har idag ca 1150 anställda som tillsammans levererar över 6000 hjullastare per år.Produktionsvolymen i Arvikafabriken ökar allt mer vilket medför att ett behov av många investeringar för att klara denna volymtillväxt har uppstått. Den huvudsakliga tillverkningen på svetsavdelningen består av fram- och bakramstillverkning.

Den här studien är en undersökning av hur organisationskulturen i en svensk polismyndighet tar sig uttryck i personalens förväntningar på handledning. Metoden som använts är enkel fallstudie. Sjutton intervjuer har genomförts, varav femton individuella och två i grupp. De totalt trettio deltagarna är indelade i fem grupper; ledning, yttre befäl, ordningspoliser, projektledare och handledare.Resultaten visar på tre kulturella fenomen som kommer till uttryck i gruppernas förväntningar på handledning. Dessa består i vertikala och horisontella spänningar i myndigheten samt ett fenomen som vi valt att benämna "den enda chansen".

I nuläget packar Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery till montage av en gasturbin ad hoc vilket leder till att varje projekt är unikt. När montören ska montera gasturbinen används en stor del av arbetstiden till att lokalisera artiklar genom att öppna och leta igenom lådor.Syftet är att ta fram de förutsättningar som måste uppfyllas för att gasturbinen SGT- 800 ska kunna packas i en monteringsvänlig ordning. Målet med en monteringsvänlig ordning är att tidsåtgången för att lokalisera artiklar ska minska.Tre bromsklossar anses vara försenade artiklar, avsaknad av återkoppling mellan Packningen och monteringen och avsaknad av packinstruktioner. I analysen visar det sig att andelen försenade artiklar ligger på en för företaget acceptabel nivå. I analys och diskussion behandlas återkopplingen av information mellan olika avdelningar och möjliga packinstruktioner.Resultatet presenterar riktlinjer till en packningsprocess och hur försenade artiklar ska behandlas.

This thesis is basically a design project aimed to find a safe and reliable automatic safety device, which is designed to be suitable for highly automated industrial situations. This device fits with ABB / Jokab Safety?s fence systems. These are built up around machines to create safety distances. The automatic protection device assist the operator in situations when loading or going in and out of the danger zone.

De flesta organisationer är beroende av kommunikation mellan olika individer både inom och utanförorganisationen för att fungera. Effektiviteten speglas ofta av kvalitén hos denna kommunikation. Detfinns många parametrar som påverkar kommunikationssituationen (fackspråk: interoperabiliteten)inom en organisation, t.ex. företagskultur, arbetsrutiner, språk, IT-system ochkommunikationsmedium. För att kunna påverka situationen krävs att man identifierar de involveradeparametrarna och sambanden emellan dem.
