The ÅF Group is a leader in technical consulting, with expertise founded on more than a century of experience. They offer highly qualified services and solutions for industrial processes, infrastructure projects and the development of products and IT systems. They are also one of the leading names in certified third-party testing and inspection work.Today the ÅF Group has approximately 4,000 employees. Their base is in Europe, but their business and clients are found all over the world.A part of ÅF-Engineerings business is programming different automation systems to clients. Another part is support in both telephone and personal visits.Because the number of clients is high and the flora of different automation systems is big the consequence is that the employees must have access to many licenses with programming tools. When ÅF?s clients also have different versions of programming tools it is necessary that all these versions are available on ÅF?s offices. Because these programming tools are expensive they are shared between the offices. To know what licenses the company has, who the user is, and where the license is in use a programme is developed during this thesis.Efforts to develop this system have led to meetings with staff at ÅF in Sundsvall to discuss what the system should contain and put up a specification. The work has also consisted of the construction of a database model, design of the web page and of course implementation of the database and web application.
