In this bachelor thesis a complete prototype of an industrial vibration measurement platform has been developed. By measuring a number of variables such as acceleration, temperature and speed conclusions can be drawn on machinery health. The aim is to evaluate hardware and software solutions for a possible future product. Based on a requirement specification a proper hardware design has be developed. The hardware consists of a four-layer PCB with an ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller and about 250 other components. The PCB was designed, assembled, tested and finally housed in a box.

Det här examensarbetet behandlar tillverkningsmetoden sprutprägling och utvecklandet av en automatiserad produktionscell vid Trelleborg Skega i Ersmark. Under 2005 har behovet av en ny tillverkningsmetod, sprutprägling vuxit fram. Eftersom det är en kostsam metod kommer den endast att användas för vissa applikationer där det ställs extremt höga krav på ytfinhet och hållfasthet. Efter tillverkning genom sprutprägling sitter detaljerna fast i en så kallad sprutpräglingsplatta från vilken de måste separeras. Detta sker vanligtvis genom stansning.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate whether bronze workers during the Bronze Age were exclusively specialized, or there actually existed amateur craftsmen. Through archaeological experiments and artefact studies I intend to investigate if it has been at all possible for a less experienced bronze caster to produce usable objects. The purpose is also to investigate and put to the test the casting methods used during the Bronze Age in an attempt to find out which steps of the craft are the difficult and crucial ones, and try to determine if it has been possible to manufacture bronze objects on an industrial level..

HMS Industrial Networks AB is in need of changing a communications solution that iscurrently based on an ASIC. This will be achieved by moving the communications solution toa FPGA with the help of the programming language VHDL. By doing this, it is possible toreduce the need for specific circuits, get a more flexible platform and thus get a cheapersolution.This report describes a solution for how to move a network protocol from an ASIC to anFPGA. The report shows that the network slave device is working under the guidelines forthis project. This means that it is quite realistic to implement a fieldbus protocol on an FPGA,using VHDL and to maintain the same functionality as the earlier communications solution..

Today automatic milking systems (AMS) are growing in popularity. In these systems the cows are loose and have to get to the robot and the feed on their own. The cows ranking in this system affect their welfare. In this study data from seven years in an AMS was used and analysed. The aim was to investigate how ranking could affect the behaviour of the cows at milking and at feeding.

Målet är att bevara kulturarvet i den lilla fiskebyn samtidigt som man vill satsa på ett levande samhälle, den viktiga turistnäringen samt tillfredställa många målgrupper. Rapportens syfte är att föra en diskussion och därmed bidra med ett underlag till Orusts kommuns arbete och beslut för förändring av industritomten belägen i Mollösunds hamn. Detta genomförs genom en fallstudie där ett antal befintliga områden analyseras, vilka alla är relevanta för industriområdet i Mollösund. The aim of this work was to find out what potential contaminants from roads, residential area and businesses within Svedens industrial area that can affect groundwater quality and quantity. Data collection was from SGU, VISS, internal material from Gävleborg county Administrative Board and Gävle municipality archive. GIS software ArcGIS was used to create the map images in the work. The studied area is located approximately ten kilometers west of Gävle city and consists of the esker Valboåsen, which is a glacifluvial deposit that in its central parts consist of coarse material that is overlaid by sand, clay and silt. North of esker Valboåsen there are the river Gavleån which has an inflow to the groundwater in the esker. This inflow represents the largest part of the groundwater recharge.

This master thesis includes a description of how a number of sensors are put together in a sensor platform. It also gives a description of how localization and mapping has been performed with data collected from the sensor platform. Localization is a prerequisite for most of the tasks that can be requested from an autonomous mobile robot. In many situations the GPS signal is not available and hence an additional localization system is required. One approach is to apply localization based on landmarks extracted from the robots surrounding.

AB Realisator, ett management consulting företag med fokus på marknads- och affärsutveckling, har tidigare funnit att brandmän i dagsläget inte använder sig av någon form av robotar vid hantering av bränder. Således startades projektet FUMOTM; en robot vars främsta syfte är att gå in i bränder och filma/scanna ytan för att förenkla brandmännens arbete och potentiellt rädda liv. I framtiden har AB Realisator även funnit det möjligt att lägga till någon form av brandsläckningsmöjligheter och en robotarm på FUMOTM. Syftet med föreliggande rapport är att utvärdera vilka framtida produktionsmöjligheter som finns för denna robot. Arbetet innefattar att skapa en modulplattform för roboten, utforma de framtida tekniska lösningarna robotarm och släckanordning på ett monteringsvänligt sätt enligt Boothroyds DFA-metod, samt att ta fram ett monteringssystem som uppfyller den kravspecifikation som AB Realisator har lagt fram.

?A culture center should be visually welcoming as well as attract a diverse range of visitors with different backgrounds.? This was the client?s request for a new cultural center in Nairobi. The location is in the heart of Nairobi?s industrial area, near several existing buildings that are already in use by the culture organization known as Go Down.
