The purpose of this study is to establish whether or not there is a connection between a highincidence of computer gaming and English proficiency in Swedish 9th-graders. The study also takescomputer game genres into account, attempting to see if there is a link between frequent playing ofcertain genres and high English grades.According to this study, there is a clear correlation between the gaming habits of Swedish 9thgradersand the grades they receive in English, with a higher frequency of gaming corresponding toa higher grade. The study also suggests that the Strategy, MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) andCRPG (Computer Role-Playing Game) genres have a higher representation amongst students withgood grades in English..

The purpose of this study is to examine whether personality traits, self-esteem, performance-based self-esteem and demographic data relate to, and can explain the variation in psychological ill-health among students at Lund University. A questionnaire was distributed to students attending the Psychology program, Bio-technology program, Theologian program and Law program. There were 247 respondents to the questionnaire, mainly attending their second or third semester. General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), Rosenberg's Self- Esteem scale, Hallstens scale measuring performance-based self-esteem, questions relating to demographic data and a short version of the personality inventory scale Big Five were included in the questionnaire. Positive correlations were found between psychological ill-health and the variables neuroticism and performance-based self-esteem.

Forskning har visat att den komplexa miljö som tränare är verksamma i kan leda till både psykiska och fysiska problem på grund av den press denna miljö skapar. Fotbollstränare verkar i en miljö som såväl på som utanför fotbollsplanen ställer hårda krav på dem och framkallar stress hos dem vilket i värsta fall kan leda till att de blir utbrända.Syftet med denna studie är att identifiera  de mest frekventa stressorerna som upplevdes av svenska elitfotbollstränare som rapporterades med höga nivåer av utbrändhet år 2003.Åtta stycken fotbollstränare på elitnivå i Sverige har identifierats ur tidigare insamlad data där de genomgick en enkätstudie. I studien svarade de bland annat på Maslach Burnout Inventory och Job Stress Survey som mäter utbrändhetsnivå respektive stressnivå.Resultatet visar att det finns åtta stycken stressorer som sticker ut från mängden där den mest frekvent upplevda stressorn bland dessa utbrända fotbollstränare år 2003  är att ?Fatta viktiga beslut?. Denna studie syftar till att undersöka om det föreligger skillnader i inlärningsstilar mellan blivande psykoterapeuter med psykodynamisk respektive kognitiv beteendeinriktad inriktning. Undersökningsdeltagarna utgjordes av samtliga studenter i de två första årgångarna på Stockholms universitets psykologiska institutions psykoterapeututbildning. Studenter på psykoterapeututbildningen kan välja mellan antingen kognitiv beteendeinriktad terapi eller psykodynamisk psykoterapi. I syfte att kartlägga eventuella skillnader mellan studenterna på de två olika inriktningarna användes två versioner av David Kolbs Learning Style Inventory. Resultatet av undersökningen visade på tydliga skillnader mellan terapeuter med olika inriktning.

Trots en hög andel unga med psykosomatiska besvär visar statistiken även att ungdomar generellt upplever sig ha en god psykisk hälsa, ett gott humör, god självkänsla och en god framtidstro. Denna studie fokuserar på att utforska hur varaktiga mönster av stresshanteringsstrategier hos ungdomar kan relateras till deras subjektivt upplevda välbefinnande i termer av affektiva tillstånd och kognitiva bedömningar av livstillfredsställelse. En enkätundersökning genomfördes med 104 deltagare, varav 80 kvinnor, i åldrarna 15 till 19 år. Mätinstrument som användes var svenska versioner av COPE Inventory, Positive and Negative Affect Schedule och Satisfaction With Life Scale. Resultatet visade att emotionsfokuserade copingstrategier i högre grad än respektive problemfokuserade strategier predicerade välbefinnande, vilket skiljer sig från tidigare resultat där de senare stått för detta samband främst i studier med vuxna.

The aim of this studyhas been to capture preschool children's strategies, when they include and exclude each other in play. My aim was also to find out how children choose to integrate into an already existing game. My questions were: What strategies are used by the children at the preschool when they want to exclude or include each other? How to integrate the children when they want to be involved in an ongoing game and how they will be received during the time of play? My theoretical starting points are from Vygotsky's theory of proximal development zone, and Michel Foucault's perspective on power, and also research on the subject.The empirical study was conducted using the observations at two preschools. The children I observed were between four to five years old.The results show that children used different strategies, and when the strategy did not work so the child could switch to another.

Since drinking habits are created in social environments the workplace has an important role in alcohol prevention. This study has investigated employees (N=216) in a Swedish municipality work organisation with the purpose to describe the alcohol culture in workplace and how it influences on the workers attitudes towards alcohol. The theoretical baseline for the study has been Ames and Janes framework that explains the relation between workplace culture and drinking habits among workers. The study showed significant relations between restrictive attitude towards alcohol and not drinking with co-workers (POR: 2.5) and feeling low pressure in the work situation (POR: 2.2). Therefore it should be of interest for employers to adopt a cultural perspective and a primary prevention strategy in their alcohol policies that focuses on social relations and the workplace conditions.

The problem with a key performance indicator that is expressed as energy use in relation to a specific area is that it does not take into account the activity in the building. Den kvantitativa metoden innebar ett experiment där vi undersökte doft- och ljudets påverkan på kundbeteendet. Experimentet utfördes på en utvald yta på EM Kalmar Severins i samband med den specifika produktgruppen soffa. Den kvalitativa undersökningen genomfördes med observationer, 15 kundintervjuer samt en intervju med varuhuschefen..

It is important for firms to continually develop their offerings as the business landscape develops in order to sustain their competitiveness (e.g. Schumpeter, 1934; Ansoff, 1979; Porter, 1985; Trott, 2012). In a context of globalization, rapid technology development and changing customer needs, the paper packaging industry is urged to enhance its product development activities (Hansen & Niskanen, 2007; Björkdahl & Börjesson, 2011). However, there is little research about paper packaging firms? product development processes (ibid).

The purpose of this study was to gain understanding of orthodox Christianity in Swedish educational material. The aim was to compare the presentation of orthodox Christianity towards pupils before the new curriculum and after. With the help of an analytical approach by Bergström and Boreu ?s and the interpretation strategy by Quentin Skinner, I have studied material used in school for the subject religion. I have limited my educational material in one way.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is the major form of certification system in Swedish forestry today and its more than 11 million hectares are covering almost half of the total productive forest area in the country. Its regulations prescribe that at least 10 wind firm trees should be left behind after every clear cutting operation. This study have taken place on 30 recently clearcut objects in Bergslagen, Sweden, were an inventory of the standing stock have been made. The research shows that, with 90 % security, the retained trees together contain 9-13 m3sk per hectare. Pine is the dominant tree and it covers more than half the numbers of retained trees and its volume cover 65 % of the retained trees total volume. Spruce is on second place with 30 % of the retained trees, but only 21 % of the standing stock.
