Title: Teaching environment and teachers. A study of how music education philosophies influence instrumental teaching and learning at a community music school. Question of the research: Which Music philosophical ideas can be traced in the instrumental teaching of a community music school? Two teachers and their students have been videotaped. Data from the tapes and from interviews with the teachers and students have been analyzed by means of a category system, which grew out of the theoretical overview.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur beroende musiken är av dess stilistiska och karaktäristiska egenskaper. Jag har valt att studera epokerna barocken och nutida musik. För att undersöka detta har jag arbetat med interpretation av två stycken, som kan utgöra exempel från dessa två epoker: ?G. F.

This is a study where the purpose was to investigate whether preschool teachers have a positive or negative attitude to outdoor education. Their view of outdoors education is also treated. The methods used were questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The survey was sent to all preschool teachers in three municipalities and on a social network. The interviews were conducted at a preschool, which had a form of outdoor profile.

The objective with this study is to investigate the school introduction of newly arrived students, by focusing on the latter years of high school, by comparing two schools method of working.This was done by a qualitative survey based on half structured interviews and existing school documentation.The questions of the study targeted the schools method of working, how well the education was adapted to the students and if it was appropriate to them. We also asked about the school resources to meet the need of the newly arrived students. Our theoretical assumptions were based on Haugs? terms ?including integration? and ?excluding integration?, Lahdenperäs? theory about intercultural education, Vygotskijs thoughts about adapted education and finally Blossings? description of different cooperative cultures. Our results showed that school introduction for newly arrived students were formed from the schools? view on learning development and adapted education.

From three different handbooks in typography arguments are gathered and categorized in to three categories: roman types, san serif and others. Interviews with people from the graphic design area are also a part of the paper and are accounted for in the discussion part of the paper. Areas of theory are a broad hermeneutic view based on Hans-Georg Gadamers thoughts, which have sub categories such as: Michel Foucault?s theory about discourses, John Swales genre theory and Anders Björkvall?s thoughts on typography and multi-modal texts.

Tolfterna was a popular education organization that existed between 1896 and1964 and that arranged social evenings and set up a library for working women. This thesis purpose is to investigate Tolfternas's activities in 1902-1907 and hereby place Tolfterna in the education- and library history. The thesis examines the library catalog and the protocols from the social evenings and analyses them by means of the popular education ideologies of the early 1900's: Patriarchal education, civic education, self-education and the domestic/housewife ideal.The analysis shows that the organizers of Tolfterna as well as the working women who visited the social evenings had political and social interests. This places Tolfterna in a civic education context.The social evenings contained a mix of politically orientated discussions, traditional lectures and entertainment as music and reading. The library had self-education orientation, it contained mostly fiction and was run by the working women.

The aim of this thesis is to see if adult education have changed in educational association of the Swedish Labour Movement ABF, and the temperance movement IOGT/NBV. We have chosen to study five periods and analyse these after four ideal of education. These are the ideals of self-education, polytechnic education, neo-classic character-moulding education, and citizenship education. We have studied the reports of the activities of the organisations during the years and the writings of anniversary. The analysis shows that the two popular movements have gone from an adult education where the ideal of citizenship education to an ideal of neo-classic character-moulding education was dominating.

I detta arbete har jag, Markus Eriksson, och Gustav Lo?fstrand samarbetat och skapat 7 instrumentala musikstycken av filmmusikkarakta?r. Vi har ba?da som ma?l att i framtiden skriva musik till film och ta?nker anva?nda resultatet av detta arbete som en del av va?r gemensamma portfolio.Da? vi inte haft na?got bildmaterial att utga? ifra?n, har vi i text skrivit egna scenarion. Dessa utspelar sig i fyra olika la?genheter i ett hyreshus och skildrar ma?nniskorna som bor i huset och deras vardag.

The purpose of this paper is to understand why education is a human right. I will look at works by the late Paulo Freire, a Brazilian educator. Paulo Freire worked for many years on developing a pedagogy to promote humanity. His goal was to demonstrate that a literate person will ultimately live a better life because she will be free from oppression and domination.I chose to study Paulo Freire as a tool in proving why education is a human right because throughout his work he demonstrated the need for people to be literate in order for them to be considered ?truly human?.

Archbishop KG Hammar has attracted attention for his liberal position in theology. His view on the role of language and communication is central in several books and articles he has published as leader of the Church of Sweden. One of his main theses is the fact that meaning is created in the encounter between text and reader. He often reiterates: God is relation. This non-traditional dynamic stance has a broad impact not only on theology.

The purpose of my study was to examine how teachers in physical education experience different frame factors impact on their outdoor education and their choice of didactic approach. My study is based on Lundgren´s frame factor theory and Peitersen´s didactic learning model. I have used a qualitative research method to answer my questions. I have been using semi-structured interviews to interview six PE teachers who all teach at high school level.Based on my results we see that the teachers experience teaching hours and class sizes as the frame factors that mainly affect the outdoor education. Teachers often choose to split up the outdoor activities into sequences in order to achieve better learning.

Responsinsatser vid extra ordinära händelser såsom kriser och katastrofer karakteriseras av höga risker och stor tidspress i en föränderlig och komplex miljö. Vissa händelser går till viss del att förutse men dessvärre inte att hindra, exempelvis översvämningar eller orkaner, medan andra händelser kan vara svåra att förutse, exempelvis jordbävningar eller tsunamis. Kraven på prestation av de involverade responsorganisationerna vid sådana extrema händelser är höga samtidigt som kunskapen om situationen ofta är begränsad. Improviserat arbete och anpassning efter rådande situation är därför en förutsättning för en lyckad insats (Medonça, 2006).Tidigare forskning har visat att en rad svårigheter kan uppstå med att ha flexibla och improviserade roller under en insats, exempelvis en annan befattning eller funktion än den man vanligtvis har. Genom att studera en ledningsövning för Svenska Stödstyrkans samordningsstab där deltagare fått ta på sig en roll de inte är utbildade för syftar denna studie till att närmare undersöka förutsättningar och förmågor som ligger till grund för ett lyckat improviserat arbete.En kvalitativ fallstudie av den genomförda ledningsövningen gjordes.

Fokus för den här C-uppsatsen är arbetsmetod och arbetsprocess i den estetiska lärprocessen ur ett ?målrelationellt? perspektiv i vilket målet för elevarbetet ses som en produktion av estetisk praktik och reflektion och där bildspråket fungerar som en pedagogisk funktion vilket bidrar till en förskjutning av synen på hur man lär sig genom relationella möten.Undersökningen utgår från ett ämnesintegrerat filmprojekt mellan samhällskunskap och rörlig bild som jag gjorde med elever på en gymnasieskola 2008. Jag har undersökt detta genom att låta före detta elever komma till tals och i intervjuer har de sex år efter avslutade studier, med hjälp av foto- och filmelicitering, berättat om vad de minns av arbetsmetod och arbetsprocess i filmprojektet. Bakgrunden till studiens frågeställning är en handledande arbetsmetod i rörlig bild, och funderingar kring vad den gör med lärande skolarbete i ämnesintegrerade projekt. Är estetisk lärprocessen i rörlig bild ett flummigt estetisk nonsens, något roligt att göra i vila från andra ämnen, eller hjälper detta elevers lärande framåt samtidigt som de har roligt i sitt skolarbete? Syftet med min studie är att belysa hur det relationella synliggörs i en estetisk lärprocess och jag vill härigenom bidra med kunskap om detta.I resultatet av undersökningen visar det sig att de före detta eleverna upplevt att den handledande arbetsmetod de fick tillgång till i arbetet med rörlig bildutvecklat deras färdigheter att reflektera över sina kunskaper, kritiskt granska, värdera och lösa problem i lärandet.
