Hot, våld och trakasserier : En studie om handlingsutrymme, politiska ledare och demokrati
Studies have shown that politicians are significantly more likely to become victims of violent crime than other citizens in Sweden. In fact increasing political rank and engagement are directly proportionate to increased risk for violence. Threat towards politicians is not only dangerous to the individuals involved but also to the democratic system as a whole.Political scientists the world over have done a lot of research on democracy, but I have been unable to find a single method or theory that examines how violence, threat and harassment affect political leaders and democratic systems.The aim of this study is to expand the existing model made by Tommy Möller, professor in political science. In his model he presents 11 factors that affect political leaders ability to act. My aim is to develop his model by adding a 12 th factor ?violence, threat and harassment?.

The study seeks to clarify a cultural change in the armed forces (FM). The study is based on the hypothesis that repeated operations in war-like environment, where the FM sends professional combat units, develop a warrior culture. The empirical results indicate that there is an existing warrior culture at all three units surveyed.The subculture is verified by the constants of western warrior culture described in theory. Motivation till förändring : hur sjukhuspersonal kan motiveras till att arbeta med Lean Healthcare
The Swedish healthcare system is characterized by lack of resources and extensive hospital queues. In order to counter these difficulties the Lund University Hospital have introduced Lean Healthcare to the hospital organization.
The purpose of this scientific paper is to study the relationship between the implementation of Lean Healthcare and the experienced motivation among the staff. This essay thereby intends to impart knowledge, which could be used on future implementations of Lean Healthcare at other hospitals.
In order to fulfil the purpose of this essay a case study have been conducted at two wards at the Lund University Hospital in which qualitative research interviews have been the method chosen in order to gather data.
Ledarskapsprogram för innovation
Since the 28thof May the project to develop an internal Innovation Leadership Program (ILP)on Accenture has been running and came to an end in November the same year. The taskwas formed into a master thesis and given to two students at the Royal Institute ofTechnology in Sweden.Since the start the content and structure of the ILP has been established based on the resultsof a theoretical study, a gap analysis and an external and internal benchmarking. The theoreticalstudy focused on articles, books and lectures about innovation, creativity and pedagogy. Subjectssuch as leadership, motivation, reflection and coaching were studied as well, but in a smaller scale.The gap analysis consisted of eleven interviews with people from different career levels withinAccenture and the goal was to establish the view of innovation and creativity among the employees.The interviews also asked about the knowledge the participants had about Technology Lab in orderto get insight of how to improve their communication and cooperation with people in client projects.Internally a similar program was studied called Minority Leadership program, whom will not bedescribed further in this report, to get inspiration. The external benchmarking was conducted onStanford and was very successful.
Scanias Produktionssystem - inte bara för produktion : En implementering av Scanias Produktionssystem inom teknikorganisationen vid Scania Chassi
This report is the result of a master thesis at Linköping University - Institute of Technology and Uppsala University at the request of the chassi workshop at Scania CV AB in Södertälje. Since the beginning of the 90's, Scania CV AB has had a close cooperation with Toyota from which, among other things, the Scania Production System (SPS) has evolved. SPS explains Scanias' values, principles and priorities. The Technician department (MST) at Scania Chassi in Södertälje believes that SPS can streamline the technicians work and help them become a more homogeneous group. The purpose of this master thesis is to initiate an implementation of SPS within MST through two pilot projects involving both the product and process technicians. The SPS principle Normal Situation - Standardised working method was required to be implemented within one work task each for the two groups of technicians with special attention on the three subprinciples Standardisation, Takt and Balanced flow. The master thesis fulfilled its purpose as the two pilot projects initiated the implementation of SPS within MST and the three sub-principles Standardisation, Takt and Balanced flow were implemented within the two chosen work tasks.

Initially there is a rundown of the algorithm which calculates the kantorovich distance between two images. Thereafter we go through the CPU implementation followed by GPGPU written in CUDA. Then the results are presented. Lastly, an analysis about the results and a discussion with possible improvements is presented for possible future applications..
Orsaksfaktorer till personalomsättning i fastighetsmäklarbranschen : Med fokus på ledarskapets betydelse
Syfte: Personalomsättning är ett omfattande problem i fastighetsmäklarbranschen. Eftersom vi utbildar oss till fastighetsmäklare, är studien av intresse för oss då vi vill få insikt i personalomsättning och vilken betydelse ledarskapet har för medarbetarna. - Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur ledarskapet kan påverka personalomsättningen inom fastighetsmäklarbranschen i Sverige.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Datainsamlingen har utförts i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Vi har utfört totalt 16 intervjuer, fördelat på 11 medarbetare och 4 ledare. 14 av intervjuerna har utförts face-to-face, och två har skett via telefon.

The aim of this paper is to investigate how well information and communication technology (ICT) is implemented in the new teacher training program in the subject of Swedish and how this is presented in the applications for examination licence to the National Swedish Agency for Higher Education. This is an interesting field of study, since ICT has been selected, by an investigation chosen by the government to be one of four overall perspectives that are supposed to permeate the teacher training program. There have been several difficulties involved in this project of which one has been the extent of the material. 27 applications and all curriculums in the subject of Swedish belonging to them have been examined. Another difficulty was that the applications and the curriculums are written by different persons under different conditions such as time and resources.

Ljudnivåhantering i svensk television
De flesta klagomål TV-bolag får in från tittare handlar om den upplevda ljudnivåskillnaden mellan program och kanaler. Speciellt irriterande är övergången mellan program och reklam/trailers. Därför har detta examensarbete studerat de svenska TV-kanalerna SVT1, TV3, TV4 och Kanal 5 i avseende att belysa detta problem och dess orsaker. Arbetet har utgått ifrån The European Broadcasting Unions mätstandard för ljudnivånormalisering: loudness recommendation EBU R128. Denna innefattar algoritmer för hur den perceptuella ljudnivån bör mätas och riktlinjer för hur dessa nivåer bör hanteras. I utredningen har intervjuer, mätmetoder och användartester genomförts för att besvara hur kanalerna förhåller sig till ljudnivånormalisering enligt EBU R128 samt om kanalernas nuvarande ljudnivåbehandling är tillfredsställande för tittarna. Resultatet visar att ingen kanal ännu implementerat EBU R128.
Utmaningar och möjligheter vid införandet av ett nytt affärssystem : En fallstudie på Saab Aerosystems
Idag byter många företag ut sina gamla informationssystem mot nya, standardiserade affärssystem. Detta görs för att man ser stora framgångs- och konkurrensfaktorer i att ha ett standardiserat system, att anpassa ett affärssystem mot verksamheten blir dessutom väldigt kostsamt. På Saab Aerosystems införde man under 2006 just ett standardiserat affärssystem, IFS Applications 2004, där man tidigare hade använt sig utav 59 olika system.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka vilka möjligheter och utmaningar man såg på Saab Aerosystems i och med införandet av det nya affärssystemet. Det utfördes en fallstudie där det samlades in empiri från ett antal kvalitativa intervjuer för att kunna jämföras mot den teoretiska referensram och på så sett kunna besvara frågeställningarna; vilka möjligheter uppstod i samband med införandet av det nya affärssystemet? Hur tog dessa tillvara på? Vilka utmaningar uppstod i samband med införandet av det nya affärssystemet? Hur hanterades dessa? Många av utmaningarna respektive möjligheterna kan ses som nära relaterade, i denna studie presenterar vi hur olika aktörer inom verksamheten upplevt dessa, samt hur de relaterar till existerande teori på området.Resultat visar att följande kategorier: förändring, anpassning av och gentemot affärssystemet, strategi, utbildning och hjälpresurser utgjorde stora utmaningar.

Titel: Innovate or Stagnate! ? Open innovation in manufacturing small and medium-sized businesses in Småland.The purpose of the study is that, from a leadership perspective (innovationmanagement), create a better understanding of open innovation in manufacturing small and medium-sized enterprises. The study therefore intends to contribute to the understanding of how open innovation processes leads to greater innovation in manufacturing small and medium sized businesses.We have used a qualitative research method and adopted an abductiveapproach. We made interpretations and created meaning based on our research results.Our theoretical framework is based primarily on Chesbroughs (2003) research on open innovation. Based on this model, we have selected a number of other theories, which we perceived as prerequisites for small andmedium sized companies in open innovation processes.

Since the 1990?s Open Access has developed into an alternative model for scientific publication. Today an increasing political interest in promoting Open Access is commonly channeled through the implementation of policies by research funders. However, in the scientific community the uptake and acceptance of the model has been of notably different character.This Master?s thesis examines the understanding of and attitudes towards open access among eight senior Swedish researchers and how these have been affected by the implementation of the Swedish Research Council?s Open Access-policy as implemented in 2010.
