När materialet som används i produktionen är metall som det i det här fallet så försvåras arbetet med ledtidsförkortning då efterfrågan idag är större än utbudet på den marknaden.Syfte Att i en fallstudie kartlägga och analysera företagets problematik med långa ledtider för produkt AT4CS.Metod Studien har en deduktiv forskningsansats där vi utifrån teorin undersöker vårt fallföretag. Vi har använt oss av både kvalitativ och kvantitativ data som egenhändigt samlats in men också sekundärdata. Vi har avgränsat oss till PartnerTech i Karlskoga och en av deras produkter.Teori I studien har vi använt oss av tre olika teorier, Total Quality Management, Supply Chain Management och Supply Chain Risk Management.Slutsats Den aktivitet som tveklöst står för den största andelen av den totala ledtiden är materialanskaffning.

De senaste åren har konkurrensen inom textilbranschen ökat avsevärt. Produkter på modemarknaden är fler. Den förändrade efterfrågan ifrån kunder innebär att kunden kräver nyheter oftare och det har lett till snabba trendväxlingar. Ledtider måste kortas om modeföretag ska vara beredda på de snabba trendväxlingarna. De korta ledtiderna ställer krav på effektivitet och flexibilitet i företagens processer.

Logistik och Supply Chain Management som koncept har fått en ökad uppmärksamhet de senaste åren. Ett föråldrat synsätt på organisationen som en samling vertikala enheter som fungerar autonomt byts ut mot en vision om en flödesorganisation där ett helhetsgrepp om verksamheten och djupare samarbeten med leverantörer och kunder står i fokus. Ökade krav på konkurrenskraft genom effektivisering ställer nya ökade krav på en fungerande planering och styrning av varuflöden och där kan så kallade avancerade planeringssystem (APS) fungera som ett stöd och hjälpmedel. Emissions of insufficiently treated wastewater, mainly blackwater (i.e. wastewater from toilets), contributes to the eutrophication of lakes and seas. At the same time, blackwater is a fraction with a low content of heavy metals and, after sanitization, it can recirculate plant nutrients to arable land using the liquid composting treatment method. Liquid composting means that organic material is degraded under aerobic conditions. For sanitization, the blackwater needs to be treated together with energy-rich complementary material.

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) detection of heavy metals is a cost- and time-effective method for investigation of polluted areas. Compared to laboratory analysis, XRF analysis is limited by high detection limits and uncertainties in some situations. Preparation of samples is known to affect the results of measurements.The purpose of this thesis is to bring a deeper understanding of how different factors affect the results of XRF-analysis. A large number of measurements have been made with the instruments Niton XLt 700 and Niton Xli 700. Results from measurements of lead, zinc and copper have been analysed.This study has shown that a greater moisture content will give a lower measured concentration for the same sample.

The purpose with this thesis work was to design and build a technical aid for installingbatteries in telecom base stations. Today that job is done manually, since there is noequipment on the market for that purpose. Installing batteries in base stations manually isa very tough job.To get ideas for possible solutions a preliminary study on existing lift aids was done.From the preliminary study the conclusion that some kind of overhead crane would besuitable for the task was drawn. After that a lift for installing batteries in base stationswas designed, built and tested. The tests show that it is possible to minimize heavy liftingwhen installing batteries in telecom base stations, at a relatively low cost.ii.

It consisted of six semi-structured interviews with store managers and employees on Willys and Coop in Sala and in Nyköping. Secondly a quantitative study was performed in the form of a questionnaire with 80 consumers in Willys and Coop stores located in Sala and Nyköping.Result & Conclusions: We have seen that price is important when consumers decide whether to buy organic food or not. This has been noticed by the food chains who work actively with being able to offer organic food at lower prices. Other factors that affect the consumers choice to buy organic products are offers, displaying and advertising.

Supply Chain Management är ett tankesätt som går ut på att kundernas önskemål skall identifieras och uppfyllas innan det kommer krav från deras sida. Ett sätt att nå detta mål är att utgå från kunden då den framtida produktionen planeras. Supply Chain Management handlar om att man skall se till helheten, det är produktionskedjorna som konkurrerar med varandra och inte de enskilda företagen. För att kunna vara ett konkurrenskraftigt alternativ för kunderna gäller det att vara med i den kedja som bäst klarar av att uppfylla kundernas önskemål. Genom att se till hela kedjan kan man komma ifrån det dubbla arbete som är vanligt förekommande i många produktionskedjor.

iPhone belongs to the group smartphones. It is a type of mobile phones that has a richer interface and allows more advanced preformences, i.e surfing the Internet and handling e-mails. This report outlines the work to develop an iPhoneapplication from idea to released product. The project is a thesis which was commissioned by ICA AB (a major Swedish grocery chain). The report includes how the work has been carried out in practice and theory.

Hälso- och sjukvården har höga krav som branschen har svårt att uppfylla. Logistik har fått en ökad betydelse inom sektorn och handlar i detta fall om att på kortast tid få en patient färdigbehandlad. Denna rapport tar fram logistiska förändringsprinciper som är framgångsrika i hälso- och sjukvården. En litteraturstudie visar att det finns ett antal logistiska förändringsprinciper och verktyg som med positivt resultat har anpassats till hälso- och sjukvården. Dessa är; Lean production, processorientering, flödesorientering, Time-based competition, Theory of Constraints, Supply chain management, Planering, Mål och mätmetoder, Patienten i fokus, Genombrott och Advanced access.

This degree project was conducted in collaboration with Husqvarna AB, the headquartersof which are located in Jönköping. The aim was to further develop the filler cap found onmore or less the whole of the company?s range of chain saws, in order to make it moreuser friendly.The present filler cap is not easy to open and close, especially when wearing gloves, andunder difficult conditions, which creates problems and prolongs filling time.On the basis of market surveys, different prototypes and tests, we have created anergonomically improved cap of a new shape, which can be moved in the axial direction,thus making filling easier..

3nine has developed oil mist separators for the manufacturing industry. They are used in factories and workshops in Sweden as well as many other countries. The basis for this thesis is to investigate the performance of these separators in applied environments under different circumstances and to find factors that influence the performance. It has been shown both theoretically and in laboratory environments that the sizes of the particles in the oil mist influences the performance of separation. This is to be verified under applied circumstances as well.The separators also have in most cases, after the centrifugal separation, HEPA-filters mounted that separates the remaining oil mist.

Shopping for groceries often means that, as consumers, we travel to the grocery store ourselves, by ear, bike or on foot. At the store we pick out the groceries that we want, go the register and pay for them. During the last couple of years consumers in Sweden have been given the opportunity to let someone else select and transport the groceries to their home instead, so called home shopping. As this report is being written, the possibility to buy groceries this way is somewhat limited, but many forecasters believe that in the near future it will increase immensely. Because of the large volumes of groceries that are being transported, there is great transport work being done in the supply chain.

This report describes how a syringe pumpwas developed for Q-linea AB inUppsala Science Park as a bachelor´sthesis at Uppsala University. Thepurpose of the syringe pump is toreplace existing pumps in one of Qlineasdosage instruments. The reasons for whythe pumps are replaced are that they arebig and heavy. Therefore the task was todesign a smaller and lighter syringepump.The goal of the project was to create aprototype of the design that met themechanical requirements posed. Therequirements were met.In the report the work process can befollowed from the development of thespecifications to the final design andtests of the prototype.
