Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur och varför kläder och designuppfattas annorlunda i det land där kläderna designas och eventuellttillverkas i förhållande till hur plaggen uppfattas i andra länder där desäljs. Metod: Då vårt ämne rör konsumenters subjektiva uppfattningar har vi använtoss av ett kvalitativt angreppssätt. Vi har intervjuat respondenter i tvåolika länder, Spanien och Sverige angående två klädesföretag, H&M ochZara, som har dessa två länder som hemland respektive utland. Vi hardärefter analyserat empirin genom att sätta den i ett teoretiskt perspektiv. Teoretiska perspektiv: Den teoretiska grunden i uppsatsen utgörs av tre teoriområden:Marknadsföringsteori ur ett företagsperspektiv, som tar upp faktorer hosföretagen som kan bidra till de skillnader konsumenterna upplever finnseller inte finns mellan klädkedjorna; Konsumentpsykologisk teori somökar förståelsen för de psykologiska processer hos konsumenterna sompåverkar hur företagen och deras marknadsföringsstrategier upplevs, ochimage skapas; Kulturrelaterad teori som försöker förklara den effektkulturskillnader får på konsumentbeteende, vilket är relevant då vi ämnarjämföra två länder med olika kulturer.

A film can attract all kinds of emotions and moods of the audience through its audiovisual communications and cinematic expression, in which music plays a significant role in both understanding and interpretation of film content.It is interesting to explore the musical significance and the emotional aspect of the film out of a media and communications perspective and visual communications perspective because it?s a subject that belongs to the communications of scientific discipline as film is a media text which is working both as communicative and as audio-visual medium with its expressive aspects.The purpose of this bachelor?s paper is to increase and deepen the understanding of music's function and significant role in context with its reinforcing sense of visual expression in film. More specifically, it aims to explore the musical value of the expressive aspect of the media text in form of film musical Les Misérables (2012), which has been transmedialised from the novel of the same name, referring to the sound, music and song in relation to the film's visual expression.The research questions are at the core of the essay study: "how is music used to reinforce the cinematic visual expression?" and "how can music signify the narrative and highlight the emotional aspect of the film?" The theoretical framework is based on some of the key scholars assumptions such as Michel Chion (1994) and Claudia Gorbman (1987), who share the same theoretical views that the soundtrack seems powerful when it expresses its participation in a scene?s emotional moods as the music follows the scene?s rhythm, the image?s flow and contributes emotional and musical codes of emotions and expressions. According to Chion sound and image interact together to tell a story where sound enrich the image with expressive and informative values.

The Discourse of Information in Organizing Knowledge.AbstractThe aim of this Master's thesis is to inquire into the consequences of an unequal distribution of power between information discourses in the field of knowledge organisation. A deconstruction of Jennifer Rowley's and John Farrows introductory textbook Organizing Knowledge from 2000 is related to the major discourses of information in LIS. Questions posed in this study are: What meaning is ascribed to information in the material studied? Which information discourses are given a dominant position? Which are excluded? and: How does this affect the construction of the library and information science student's identity, in relation to practices of knowledge organisation? The theoretical framework is provided by Ernesto Laclau's and Chantal Mouffe's theory of discourse and combined with techniques for text analysis originating from the work of Norman Fairclough.The analysis reveals a strong domination of a cognitive discourse of information that underlines the importance of information systems for the organisation of knowledge.

Detta var resultatet efter ett arbete som påbörjades redan 2005 då kommunfullmäktige i Umeå fattade beslutet att ansöka om titeln då detta var ett sätt att skapa marknadsföring för Umeå och lyfta dess kulturimage. This thesis tries trough qualitative analyzes to illuminate advertising and its didactic aspects, how menstruation and menstruating women are portrayed over time. The method underlying the survey is didactic, diachronic comparative and hermeneutic. There will also be a feminist point of view on the material. I detta projekt presenteras förbättringsförslag för Carlsbergs pallhantering. Carlsberg har sedan en tid tillbaka haft problem med sin pallhantering. Ca 40 000 pallar som skickas ut returneras aldrig från kund. Detta leder till förluster för företaget då företaget tvingas köpa nya pallar då brist uppstår. Ett annat problem är att det ej finns något tillförlitligt system för att se hur många pallar som egentligen existerar inom företaget eller vilken typ av pallar det är. Uppgiften är att identifiera de största problemområdena och komma med förslag på åtgärder för dessa. Under projektarbetets gång har det framkommit att rutiner för pallhantering finns på de flesta anläggningar men att många av rutinerna ej efterföljs.

This master thesis project is a part of a project called ?Järboprojektet? at the regional board of forestry, the district of Gästrikland. The project will give answers to questions regarding if an analysis of satellite images can be used to contact and inform landowners of the located areas where precommercial thinning is useful. The whole project is a part of the National Board of Forestrys IT-stake where the analysis of satellite images will, at the latitudes possible, be adapted to each district in purpose to identify these areas in need of precommercial thinning. SammanfattningI organisationers kommunikation är massmedier en av flera viktiga kanaler för att nå ut till människor. En organisations image, den bild som människor skapar sig av en organisation, kommer i många fall från medierna. Men att få tillgång till publicitet i medierna är inte självklart. Det finns en intressemotsättning mellan mediernas kritiska granskande funktion och organisationers strävan att ge en positiv bild av sig själva. Syftet med denna uppsats var därför att undersöka mediebilderna av två organisationer, Mittuniversitetet och Scan AB, och ta reda på i vilken grad de själva, genom pressmeddelanden påverkat vad som skrivs om dem.

He met representatives of the Swedish Church, which was engaged in issues related to ecumenism, resistance and peacework. Although the persons he met were representatives of the Swedish Church they sometimes acted as individuals with a Christian philosophy.

This study examines how masculinity is portrayed in podcasts. Our original materialconsisted of four episodes of C/o Hannah & Amanda and four episodes of Filip &Fredrik's podcast. We analyzed the programs both individually and in comparison toeach other. Using a rhetorical analysis, we found that the perception of men in thepodcasts conforms to societal norms. The theoretical basis underlying ouranalysis can be expected to strengthen our findings and made us also realize that theimage of masculinity is constantly evolving..
