För att få en förståelse kring hur en individs förhållande till mat ger sig i uttryck samt hur dess bakgrund och nutida händelser påverkar valde vi att göra en kvalitativ undersökning. Undersökningen valdes att göra med betoning på upplevelser, därav valet av fenomenologi som ansats. Mat och ätande kan ses som problematiskt vilket medför att vår kvalitativa forskning syftar till att dels se till individernas unika berättelser och mångfalden av hur man uppfattar fenomenet och dels se till de gemensamma komponenter som utgör fenomenet utan att kritisera.Syftet var att undersöka och förstå det sociala fenomenet människans relation till mat genom livet. Syftet delades därefter upp i tre frågeställningar som sedan låg till grund för den semistrukturerade, öppna intervjuguide som utformades.Vår hypotes var att människor hela tiden förändrar sin verklighet och sina tankar kring mat. I resultatet såg vi att det var sociala faktorer som utvecklade och styrde individernas syn på fenomenet samt att stora händelser även kan förändra relationen till mat..

Detta är en kvalitativ och delvis kvantitativ studie med syftet att analysera konsumistiska tendenser i den amerikanska realityserien The Hills utifrån Zygmunt Baumans teorier om konsumtion och konsumism. Frågeställningen lyder: manifesteras en konsumistisk livsstil i The Hills och i så fall hur? Av de drygt 100 avsnitt som finns av The Hills valde vi 18 stycken, tre avsnitt per säsong, att analysera. Analysmetoden inspireras av bland annat Susanna Hornig Priests bok Doing media research: an introduction om kvalitativ innehållsanalys och vi har sedan använt oss av delar från de olika teoriavsnitten. I vår kvantitativa analys har vi använt oss av en tabell som visar hur många minuter och sekunder per avsnitt som spenderas i en viss miljö. I slutdiskussionen diskuterar vi fritt kring The Hills och hur konsumtion och konsumism yttrar sig i serien.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur artisterna Håkan Hellström och Ken Ring konstruerar diskurser kring maskuliniteten i sina musiktexter. Utifrån poststrukturalistiskt influerad teori kring feminism och maskulinitet görs en komparativ närläsning som bildar en tematiskt uppbyggd studie. Utifrån det för artisterna gemensamma temat utanförskap visar studien att utanförskapet hos Ken Ring är relaterat till en känsla av maktlöshet. Denna kompenserar Ken genom att konstruera maskulina diskurser med ett överdrivet anspråk på det som den europeiska kulturen förknippar med maskulinitet och genus. Detta kan kontrasteras mot Håkan Hellström som i sitt utanförskap konstruerar maskulina diskurser där ?omanlighet? och ett kärleks- och sexualitetsbegrepp där ?jaget? blir könsmässigt tvetydligt, står i fokus.

Denna studies syfte är att belysa hur kvinnligt och manligt framställs i nya bilderböcker som riktar sig till barn i förskoleåldern, om de förmedlar stereotypa genusmönster eller utmanar rådande ideal. Syftet är även att undersöka pedagogers i förskolans medvetenhet om genus och barnlitteratur. För att uppnå syftet har sex bilderböcker analyserats utifrån genusperspektiv, och intervjuer med sex förskollärare och lärare i förskolan har genomförts. I studien har det framkommit att de analyserade bilderböckerna både utmanar och befäster stereotypa könsmönster. Starka och aktiva tjejer finns det gott om, vilket även tidigare forskning styrker.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate articles in Swedish library journals on children?s reading from gender and sex perspectives. Gender theory as it has been developed by Yvonne Hirdman and Robert W. Connell is used to analyze the articles. The thesis includes a chapter on previous research in the fields of gender in relation to children, reading and the library.

The purpose of this study was to find out what the educators view on the working method Matte på burk in preschool looked like. I also wanted to find out what the educators thought about the working method. My questions are:How does the educators in preschool experience the method Matte på burk?What do the educators in preschool believe that Matte på burk can give the children?The study was carried out through a qualitative interview study with six educators. During the interviews with the educators it became apparent that the method not only focused on mathematical exercises.

This thesis advances an explicit, consequent, and wholesome ethnomethodological perspective on brand community. It recognizes brand community as a social problem ? something to be continuously solved and achieved. The two main perceivably stable features of the Nikonian community are (1) practical usefulness and (2) the social link. The authors suggest that both features are constantly accomplished through three types of aggregate behaviour (1) lurking, (2) ordinary membership, and (3) community citizenship behaviour (CCB).

Softube has developed DSP-card and software for simulation of the sound of old tube amplifiers. The purpose with this thesis is to design a compact amplifier with high power to function together with the DSP-card and build a unit that can replace several other guitar amplifiers. The advantages with that kind of solution could be that it would be cheaper, easier to carry and easier to stor than the real amplifiers. The amplifier that has been designed is of class D type with digital PWM modulator. There is several types of amplifier modules on the market that use analog input signal, but if one of them would be used a D-A converter is needed on the DSP card.

In this study we have explored and investigated how journalist experience the relationship with politicians/press secretaries in the making of political news. The study examines how journalists see the balance of power between them and their political sources in the setting of the news agenda. To do this we have used a qualitative interview analysis. Our theoretical starting points have been based on the social exchange model. The social exchange model has a social psychological and sociological perspective that explains the interaction, social exchange and stability as a process of negotiation exchanges between parties and operators.

The purpose of the study is to observe how the participants of the study interacted musically through verbal, non-verbal and musically resonant expressions. Verbal communication was expressed in discussion of the music's tempo and to clarify for ensemble participants from where they we?re going to play and sing. Non-verbal communication could be used to gesticulate an instrument or a melody. For example, the movement of a hand could symbolize notes on a musical stave to indicate the notes placements.

In this thesis, the four types of math problems that occur in the digital educational math game Zcooly Affären 2 have been analyzed. Focus has been aimed at how the problems mediate instructions and mathematical concepts to players, and how the mathematical content is supported by the context within the game. The result shows both positive and negative aspects of the math problems, based on the theories for math education used in this thesis. Apart from the analysis of the game, this thesis also presents earlier research regarding what possibilities digital games possess as tools for learning. Researchers have partly different views on how digital games should be designed to enhance learning, and whether or not games are efficient to use for learning purposes..

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka diskursen om urbanitet i tidskrift Arkitektur mellan åren 1989-1994. Relevant för undersökningen är planeringsmodellen kvarterstad och begreppsparen privat-offentligt, vilka belyser olika sätt som diskursen om urbanitet gestaltade sig på i stadsbyggnadsdiskussionen. Analysen visar hur historiska idealbilder och problembilder var central för konstruktionen av urbanitet. Förorten och modernismen fick funktionen av motbilder till samtidens ideal, inramade av en kontext om den ?upplösta staden?.

The aim of the thesis was to investigate energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions from an advertisement broadcasted on the radio or the television or distributed through press. The object was to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide emissions per individual receiver of an advertisement in Sweden. There was no room for a deeper investigation into editorial work within the framework of the thesis. Consequently, main focus of the radio and television study was on broadcasting itself and the components involved. Focus for the press study was on paper production, printing and distribution. Production and discarding of media equipment was not taken into account.

This bachelor thesis is a study about the change of the classificationsystems in Swedish libraries. The empirical data was collected through four qualitative interviews with both research and public libraries. The data was analyzed by the use of organizational theory based upon Joacim Hanssons book Libraries and identity: the role of institutional self-image and identity in emergence of new types of libraries. The empirical result points to a major change in how libraries and librarians look and work with their collections, it can also be said that the librarians do not seem to think that the users will be affected at all.The analysis was based on these issues: What positive and negative effects introducing DDC will there be on research- reflective public libraries?What will be the effects on the librarysector introducing the new classification system DDC?What will be the effects on the users introducing the new classification system DDC? .
