This thesis investigated if a combination of increased under colour removal (decreasing the total ink limit), normal andincreased density and modern FM-screening could be used to provide a visually better print on uncoated and coated paperin comparison with AM-screening using the same conditions.Two different test groups (one with graphic background, the other with no graphic background) were asked to a visuallyassess the quality of the prints presented in a pair comparison using a reference image.The results show that the FM-screening did not obtain any significant visual difference in comparison with AM-screening,regardless of paper types and density levels. The purpose of this study is to achieve a greater understanding of the perception of the use of Special Educational Needs Coordinators? (SENCOs?) competence in school. The informants of this study are the director of the school district, two principals and six teachers in two schools in a municipality in Sweden. The method used for this study is qualitative interviews, and the results have been analyzed using perspectives on special education. The results show that the director of the school district has one ideal view of SENCOs working close to the principals with supervision of teachers, school development, administrative tasks etc.

This thesis aims at determining the heat losses in a property vent stack and its roof valve. Upon request of a company, the vent stack is analysed for possible heat recovering solutions to be implemented, while relining of the drain system is executed and with a suitable payback time for the economic investments. The heat loss calculations are based on data for properties that are located in the Stockholm region, but also easy to change depending on the situation. The calculations are done on pipes made out of cast iron, which still is the most common type of drain pipe in Sweden, and these are the pipes that relining is usually made on. The calculations that needed to take several variables into account have been done in MatlabR2014a and the thermos dynamical properties that were used in those calculations have been extracted from EES.Three different types of heat losses in the vent stack have been taken into consideration in this thesis.

Under en tidigare analys av dialogen kring och detaljplanen för ett stadsförnyelseprojekt i Göteborg, vilken jag gjorde i samband med mitt kandidatarbete, blev det tydligt för mig att nyckelorden som används har olika betydelse för olika aktörer. Efter att nyckelorden, eller trendbegreppen som jag har valt att kalla dem, beskrivits i översiktsplaner och stadsbyggnadsdebatt finns det fortfarande ett stort tolkningsutrymme, vilket gör att trendbegreppens motsvarigheter i de fysiska planerna kan se mycket olika ut. Vilka begrepp som används har betydelse för stadsutvecklingen och avslöjar vilka ideal som är framträdande. Syftet med rapporten har varit att undersöka vilka nyckelord/ trendbegrepp som används inom svensk stadsbyggnadsdebatt och projekt idag, samt att utreda begreppens samband med svensk nutida planering. För att uppnå syftet har följande tillvägagångssätt använts: ? Beskrivning av de två tydligaste motpolerna, som jag tyckt mig urskilja i det insamlade materialet; ?den traditionella, europeiska staden? och modernismens/miljonprogrammets planer.

Det som är vackert är även njutningsfullt. Men skönhet kan bli ett problem när det betraktas som en fast enhet och när gränsen mellan kropp och identitet suddas ut. Utseende kan både direkt och indirekt påverka en människas självbild samt hur människor bemöts. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur kvinnor förhåller sig till sitt utseende och sin person samt om det finns någon skillnad i detta beroende på individens livsstil och omgivning. Studien är avgränsad till att undersöka uppfattningen hos kvinnliga studenter vid Luleå tekniska universitet och genomfördes med hjälp av enkäter.

This Thesis in Military Technology deals with experiences drawn from the forced introduction of Weapons Station 01, 2009. The work aims to identify the experiences regarding the forced procurement of military equipment to see how they can develop normal and fast procurement of equipment. The main conclusions of  this work, is to achieve greater capability and increase the military utility, are: -          Common objectives and priorities of stakeholders-          Response and joint types shall determine requirements for system-          Ensure an integrated project team also at lower levels-          Engage the integrated logistic support early in the materiel process-          Include Armed Forces staff as early as possible in the testing and validation-          Prioritize work to facilitate the rapid development of decision on use (BOA)-          Provide back up for increased redundancy in the mission area .

This thesis will portray the different types of students at the programs of library studiesin Lund and Umeå.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey, which wasdistributed to first-year students in Lund and Umeå. The survey was followed by qualitativeinterviews with four students, and with the director of studies from each school.The study shows that the programs, as we11 as the students, are very similar, althoughthere are some minor differences. It seemed that the students at Umeå were moreinterested in culture than those at Lund.A certain connection between the aim at information and the ownership of a computercould be detected. The sex of the students played a major part in their choice of education.The attractors and facilitators, used by Lortie in his study, could also be appliedto the students at the program of library studies in our thesis..

Syftet med denna undersökning var att ta reda på hur kvinnor i medelåldern påverkas av kvinnoideal och hur detta påverkar deras sätt att se på sin egen identitet. Frågor kring sambandet att konsumerar varor till sig själv för att uppnå ett visst ideal. Metoden som jag använt mig av är en kvalitativ metod där empirin är insamlad genom sex intervjuer. Jag har huvudsakligen koncentrerat mig på hur informanterna uppfattar kvinnoideal, sin egen identitet, konsumtionen och reklamens påverkan. Teorier jag använt mig av är Zygmunt Baumans teori om konsumtionssamhället, Anthony Giddens teori om modernitet och självidentitet och Yvonne Hirdmans teori om genus.

In this study I compare the donor portraits on wallpaintings in Scanian churches from the 12th and the 15th century and relate them to medieval society.I find that women were equally capable of owning and donating land during the entire period. The image of the ideal woman changed during the 14th century from a married woman to the unreachable mistress of the chivalrous culture and the holy virgin. Women had a natural place beside their husbands in 12th century donor portraits, while single male donors are more frequent in the 15th century. While 12th century donors were supposed to show their position in society by offering plentiful donations directly to God, donors in the 14th century instead strived to present themselves as humble and pious. The individualisation of late medieval society meant that people had to depend on themselves to achieve salvation..

This essay is about the question if there is any difference in quality at the homes for the elderly in Skåne, depending on however the home is run by a public organization or private counterpart. The quality of the homes is meet with the help of numbers in ?the guide for the elderly? the facts in the guide are collected and judged by the ?Swedish National Board of Health. The result from the guide is divided into seven areas of quality, and then compared in a statistic test between the different types of organizations. And finally the result of the statistics is put in the context of the theory of New Public Management.

The purpose with this masters thesis was to model the scanner in a system for laser bathymetry. The model was then used to develop a controller for the scanner so a good search pattern was achieved. Two different types of models have been tested, a physical model and a Black Box model of Box Jenkins type. The physical model has been derived from Lagranges equations. Identification experiments have been used to compute the Black Box model and to find the unknown parameters in the physical model.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka pedagogers tankar kring sin åldersgruppering i förskolan. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av litteraturstudier och intervjuer med pedagoger på förskolor med åldersblandat samt åldershomogent arbetssätt. Dessa delar sammanställdes och jämfördes med varandra. Resultaten visade att de som arbetar med åldersblandade barngrupper är mer missnöjda med sitt arbetssätt än de med åldershomogent arbetssätt. Vi har kunnat se ett samband mellan påverkan på sin arbetssituation och hur nöjd man är med denna.

Syfte: Syftet med vår uppsats är att, genom teoristudier, fokusgruppintervjuer och individuella intervjuer med kännare inom området, förstå hur och till vilken grad ungdomar som referensgrupp har inflytande på yngre medelålders- och medelålders människors konsumtionsmönster. Vidare har vi med vår efterforskning för avsikt, att utveckla marknadsförares förståelse kring ungdomsidealet i samhället och hur detta skall beaktas i marknadsföringsplaneringen. Metod: Vi har i vår uppsats genomfört en litteraturstudie, där teorier kring referensgrupper, self-concept, difusion av mode och innovationer samt köp- och beslutsprocessen behandlas. Vidare har empirisk information samlats in genom individuella intervjuer med representanter för näringslivet. Slutligen har 3 fokusgruppintervjuer genomförts.

The purpose of this article is to, from our ideal type, study similarities and differences regarding the corporate governance of the consumers? and the producers? co-operative movement. The motive behind our choice of alignment is that the mechanisms of corporate governance often are described from the perspective of the joint-stock company, making it valuable and interesting to study these mechanisms from the co-operative point of view.

This paper explores the field of virtual reality and how immersion and presences can be increased when it comes to navigation and interaction with Virtual Environments. The availability of VR technology has sparked a trend, especially in game development. Old ways of designing for interactive environments have to be revised. This is done by exploring the massive body of work done on VR, exploring its underlying concepts, using tested design techniques and ways of evaluating interaction for VR. A design suggestion in the form of utilizing a tablet device as the main input device is derived.
