In the school subject of the natural sciences it is imperative that the students are given opportunities to ?talk science?, since the dialogues that occur in the classroom have a significant importance for the students? abilities to engage in meaning-making in their learning process. Hence, the student and teacher interaction in the classroom and the feedback given there play a significant role in the students? learning process. The aim of this study is to contribute to the development of formative assessment tools that can mediate the students? meaning-making in natural sciences subjects in upper-secondary school.

This thesis is about the effects of fertilizing and thinning on furniture timber from redwood. Interviews of furniture manufactures have been made and observing of timber from the Swedish fertilizing and thinning trails. The result from the interviews showed which properties that is important for the furniture manufactures and then the result from the observation showed which type of management of the forest that gave the most timber that had those properties. .

På vilket sätt resonerar behandlingspersonal samt institutionsledning angående hur den fysiska miljön ser ut i dagsläget? I vilken utsträckning är behandlingspersonal involverad i omsorgen av den fysiska miljön på behandlingshemmen?? Vilken konkret betydelse anser personal på miljöterapeutiska behandlingshem att den fysiska miljön har för ungdomarnas behandlingsprocess? ? På vilket sätt får ungdomarna medverka i utformningen av den fysiska miljön på behandlingshemmen? Hur upplever ungdomarna den fysiska miljön på avdelningen?Undersökningen är en kvalitativ fallstudie som bygger på en gruppintervju med sex ungdomar samt sex individuella semistrukturerade intervjuer med institutionschefer samt behandlingsassistenter från tre olika behandlingshem med miljöterapeutisk inriktning för LVU-placerade ungdomar. I analysen jämförs institutionernas arbete med och utformning av den fysiska miljön med den idealtypiska miljöterapin angående detta ämne.

My purpose with this study is to apply this Machiavellian idea of the capable prince on to the earlier research of the Swedish duke Karl, later on King Karl IX.

The purpose of this study was to develop two types of prediction models for Scots Pine and Norway Spruce. The first type for calculation of the stump diameter under bark the year the tree reached breast height (Dstubh130). The City of Gothenburg has an urgent need to upgrade its public transport. The capacity of its light rail transit (LRT) has reached maximum capacity within the inner city limits years ago. The construction of an underground metro will be very expensive and time consuming due to the soft clay beneath the city. The apparent need of developing another type of mass rapid transit (MRT) is urgent. An elevated metro have turned out to be a success in Greater Vancouver, but is it possible for the system to operate well in Gothenburg with its narrow streets and current land use; will its route coexist with the current LRT or will the noise disturb people too much?.
