The goals of this essay are to identify rituals and ritual behavior at the department of archaeology and ancient history at Lund University. To do this a series of empirical examinations was conducted. Observations, interviews and polls revealed that some ritual behavior is in fact present. Two types of rituals were identified; the interaction ritual, as presented by Erving Goffman in the book Interaction Ritual, Essays on Face-to-Face Behavior, in 1967. The second type of ritual is a ?problem solving? ritual, such as meetings.

Utifrån frågeställningen hur femininitet representeras i modebilder, eller mer specifikt modeteckningar eller modeillustrationer, undersöks och analyseras tre modebilder som representerar tre konstruerade kategorier:voyeurism-makt-sexualitet; estetik-makt-skönhet och feminina mellangrupper-obestämbara genus.Bilderna analyseras med diskursanalys som teoriram, kompositionsanalys och psykoanalytiskt inspirerad bildtolkning ugör metod. I tolkning och gestaltande arbete undersöks hur subjektet som betraktare formas av modebilder, beroende av genus i denna diskurs. Syftet är att utveckla en modell för hur jag som bildlärare kan arbeta med konst och mode, och hur jag utifrån modebilder, vilka barn och ungdomar kommer i kontakt med genom media, nätet, tv, reklam, tidningar och modeböcker, kan diskutera värderingar som berör femininitet, könsstereotyper, genus och normer.Uppsatsen tittar på hur bilderna är en disciplinering, hur mötet med modediskursen och modebilder konstituerar blicken, hur skönheten och skönhetsidealen speglar den tid som skapar dem. Modet har makt att styra ideal och påverka människors självbild. Modebilderna i kategori voyeurism-makt-sexualitet och estetik-makt-skönhet förekommer mer som regel än undantag för hur femininitet representeras.

This essay examine the meaning produced around bodies and body fat in the queer community, but also in the surrounding straight community. The author has interviewed fat activists, and are using queertehory, to examine and analyze the relationship between body fat and the understanding and construction of sexuality and gender. The author concludes that even if norms around body shape and body fat are overlapping between the two contexts to some degree, they also differ. In the straight community, people with larger body shapes and sizes are punished, and encouraged to stay, or become, slim. However, in the queer community, ?fat? or bigger body sizes are not frowned upon in the same degree.

The title is a quote from a blog entry written by the Swedish journalist Linus Fremin. For many years Fremin suffered from bulimia and he claims that men for a long time have been excluded from medias coverage of eating disorders.We wanted to try this thesis and decided to do a quantitative study of articles published in two Swedish newspapers, Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, regarding eating disorders during the period 20101129-20121129. We studied 199 articles and counted the occurrence of men and women in the texts.Our study showed that women were represented in a majority of the articles, whereas the men were clearly much more absent. In most of the articles eating disorders were described as a female issue and men were rarely included. It?s difficult to say how the ideal division of men and women in media?s coverage of eating disorders should look like.

In the middle of the 19th century was Calluna heath the major nature type in Halland, but the remaining parts today is only 1 500 hectares which is a 99 % decrease of the Calluna heath mainly due to an increase in forest plantations and arable fields. I have made a quantitative study how the Calluna heath of Grönabur & Sandsjöbacka has changed between 1841 and 2005 and why it didn?t disappear in the same manner, as it did in other parts of Halland. The studying of original sources as historical maps, literature and by doing field visits has been significant for the final result. The main reason for the different development of the Calluna heath in the investigation area (69 % decrease), compare to elsewhere in Halland, is the establishment and management of a nature reserve..

The object of study is the evolution of welfare institutions, like the Rehn ? Meidner model, after WWII, and the aim is to explore why the institution of solidaristic wage bargaining collapsed coming the nineties. Deployed theoretical perspectives are how domestic institutions determine a country's adaptation to alterations of the international economic system. However, equally important are how policy objectives, like full employment, becomes institutionalized and therefore guides the actions undertaken.

My assignment has been to, in collaboration with them, expand their range with a pair of children's glasses, while maintaining the innovative character they are so known for.The problem with childrens eyewear today is that most of the time the glasses tries to mimic the adult eyewear and the ?childish? type of designing is spared. From an ergonomic point of view, a child's nose is smaller than an adults and therefore needs a different type of shape and nosebridge. In addition, children have softer ears, which means that they need a different type of shaftend as well.

Folkhögskolemödrar kallas de kvinnor som ansvarade för kvinnors undervisning vid svenska folkhögskolor i 1800-talets slut och 1900-talets början. De var gifta med skolans rektorer och ansvarade för det mesta praktiska arbetet på skolorna. Uppsatsen undersöker vilka folkbildningsideal som format två av de första folkhögskolemödrarna i deras bildningssyn och även hur de förhöll sig som kvinnliga folkbildare till manligt utformade folkbildningsideal. De folkhögskolemödrar uppsatsen behandlar, Elisabeth de Vylder och Cecilia Bååth-Holmberg, representerar två av de tre bildningsideal som idéhistorikern Bernt Gustavsson har formulerat.

The aim of this study is to investigate wether the participatory democracy is a threat or a complement to the representative democracy. To achieve my purpose I will focus on two different lokal councils, the civil council in Hovsjö and the youth council in Västra Skogås, which have been objects of the urban policy in 1998. The theoretical framework on which this study is based consists of the participation democratic theory, representative democratic theory and implementation theory. By problemizing these theoretical frameworks in comparison with eachother I will mapp how these two lokal councils were implemented. The research question is: In what way was the civil council and the youth council a complement or threat to the representative democracy? In which way was it difficult to implement them?The method used for this purpose is a qualitative comparative case study.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att granska två podcaster, en med enbart män och en med enbart kvinnor. Genom en kritisk textanalys på C/O Hannah och Amanda, samt Alex och Sigges podcast, ser vi hur femininitet och maskulinitet manifesteras i respektive podcast. Parallellt med våra observationer i språket jämför vi med tidigare populärkulturell forskning på medier, samt forskning kring femininitet och maskulinitet. Vårt hopp med detta är att kunna se huruvida podcasten, som är hyllat som ett fritt medium, är en plattform för nytänkande eller bakåtsträvande ideal. I vår analys visar vi bland annat hur programledarna använder sitt kön som ett uppträdande.

The purpose of this essay is to study how the local creators of a "master plan" for the swedish city Kristinehamn, the years between 1940 to -43, looked on their planning. It is an analysis of ideas case study. A hypothesis is upheld for the research: that the local physical planning had largely extended ambitions what regards central state control in a way that is similar to planned economy. Questions that are asked include: Was the planning assumed to be a tool for the state to regulate the environment? Can the planning be seen as a mean to control the society in time and space? The essay search for verification of the hypothesis by a theoretical analysis apparatus made upp of Ideal Types.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vilka stadsbyggnadsideal som har format Linköping under historiens gång samt att studera de ideal som präglar planering och utbyggnad av staden idag. Med hjälp av en litteraturgenomgång tas utgångspunkten i 1800-talets Europa och i de trender som däri-från format våra städer. Det empiriska material som ligger till grund för studierna av Linköpings stadsbyggnadsideal idag är i första hand hämtat från Linköpings kommuns egna hemsidor men det har också gjorts en kvalitativ intervju med ordförande i Linköpings stadsbyggnadsnämnd. För att få en bred bild av vilka ideal som förekommer har förutom Linköpings översiktliga planer också tre specifika projekt studerats. De tre projekten är Övre Vasastaden som är ett centrumnära ombygg-nadsprojekt, Djurgården som är en nybyggnation mer perifert och närmare naturen samt Linköpings-Bo2016 som är ett visionsfyllt projekt med slutpunkt i en bomässa 2016.Resultatet av litteraturgenomgången visar på att tre dominerande doktriner har präglat stadsbygg-nationen i Europa från 1800-talet till idag.

Swedes and Swedish Culture are controversial political subjects in Sweden. The definitions for Swedish culture are very vague and what is the answer to the question: Who can be called Swedes? It has been debated in Sweden more since Swedish Democrats crossed the four percent threshold necessary for representation in the Swedish parliament. Swedes or Swedish culture on a large internet forum with 2 million visitors per week called Flashback forum is material for this thesis.Flashback forum has currently more than 50 million posts published and has more than 970 000 users. Flashback forum is more and more often mentioned in Swedish media.

Genom att undersöka hur mycket av några masteringsteknikers personliga ideal och tidigare erfarenheter, med musikalisk bakgrund och smak, som hörs från masteringsprocesser av förelagda inspelningar av musik inom olika musikstilar är syftet att bidra med kunskap om hur mycket av de tidigare musikaliska influenserna en masteringstekniker tar med sig in i en masteringsprocess, och ses som användbar för fortsatt forskning inom ljud- och musikproduktion. Jag har låtit tre masteringstekniker under enskilda sessioner mastra tre ljudsekvenser, där jag även har observerat deras tillvägagångssätt, utfört intervjuer och sedan på egen hand granskat materialet genom att lyssna och titta på deras bearbetningar av ljuden. Slutligen har jag låtit fem vana lyssnare bedöma och kommentera mastringarna i form av en lyssningsundersökning. Utifrån observationerna, samtalen och min granskning tyder resultatet på att det personliga idealet och tidigare erfarenheten främst hörs i mastringar utförda av personer som är djupt rotade i sin favoritgenre och låter de idealen och arbetsmönstren även påverka mastringar inom främmande musikstilar.  .

The landscape can be something that you rest your eyes on, something that goes quickly past outside the windscreen or the place for the daily work. To me, landscape is everything around us ? the city, the field and the forest. But what is landscape for you? What does the idea of the landscape stand for? How does our view of the landscape become influenced of the place where we grow up? And the differences between peoples different views of the landscape ? what does they depend on? My point of the view for this paper is that the landscape ideals mostly depend on the landscape where you grow up and that it depends less on the differences between the individuals. As a landscape architect the idea of the landscape is the essential. The more we learn, the more we realize how complex it is, but deep down we always have our own experiences and memories and that shapes our personalities.
