I och med den stora generationsväxlingen som den svenska arbetsmarknaden står inför ville vi undersöka kompetensöverföringen mellan de avgående 40 ? talisterna och den nya arbetskraft som ska ta över. Vi utförde vår undersökning på Uddeholms AB i Hagfors och undersökningen berörde de anställdas syn på kompetens, vad de tyckte var viktigt att föra över till nästa generation samt vilka skillnader som fanns generationerna emellan. Som utgångspunkt har vi använt oss av fem stycken teoriområden som alla rör kompetens men har olika infallsvinklar. Vi använde oss av en kvalitativ metod och utförde sju stycken intervjuer med både yngre och äldre representanter ur arbetsstyrkan samt på både tjänstemän och kollektivanställda.

Genom att undersöka hur ungdomar mår i dagens samhälle kan både negativa och positiva faktorer upptäckas. De negativa kan förebyggas och förändras, de positiva bibehållas och förbättras. Ungdomarna är de som ska ta över samhället efter nuvarande generation. För att främja ett välmående samhälle i framtiden bör välmående ungdomar främjas idag. Syftet med studien var att göra en jämförelse mellan hur det var att vara ung i Piteå år 1993 och år 2006.

As a soccer coach for youths with disabilities and as active soccer players, our thoughts regarding the basic principles of sports where awakened and how it corresponds with the possibilities of disabled youths participating in club organized sports. From that thought came the idea that, with our team as the point of original we should contribute with increased knowledge regarding the experiences of disabled youths doing sports. Using ethnography and co-operative observations we have researched both including and excluding factors that contribute to the possibilities of disabled youths opportunity to do sports. We have been able to distinguish that the youths in question feel that sports can be identity-building as well as give a sense of community. The study shows that the basic principles of sports does not correspond with reality because the lack of availability is the determinant factor. .

The last 1½ decade young people with intellectual disabilities have been a part of my life. My now 13 year old son and several pupils I have taught as a teacher in the compulsory school. Their future and what will affect their lives has always been interesting to me. How do I affect them, why do I do the things I do and think the way I think? This study springs out of that curiosity.

RFID isused to identify, track or share information about an object using radio waves.This master thesis describes the process of designing and implementing ahandheld UHF RFID reader. The goal was to, based on a UHF RFID-chipdesign a fully functional, small in size and power efficient device. Amicrocontroller provides the user interface and is also used to control theRFID-chip and a Bluetooth device.

Det kom allt fler signaler att ensamheten bland äldre har ökat, även att äldres känslor av ensamhet har blivit ett problem som påverkar den ensamme psykiskt negativt. Sveriges äldre generation över 65 år beräknas att öka med ca 22 procent mellan åren, 2005-2010. Ett ökat behov av socialt umgänge bland de äldre i kommunen blev anledningen till att Röda Korset engagerade sig i uppsökande verksamhet. Detta sker med hjälp av frivilliga medmänniskor som besöker äldre som lever i ensamhet. Syftet med studien var att utvärdera hur Röda Korsets uppsökande verksamhet har fungerat för de berörda äldre i Karlskrona kommun.

Companies and organizations recognize the importance of collaboration to develop responsibility and ability of change in the workplace. The concept of collaboration was a relatively new idea in business in the late 1980s. In a Nordic context, collaboration is a traditional approach that companies use successfully for competition, survival and development. Collaborative organizational efforts cover management of committed people who can help companies achieve flexibility, customer loyalty, innovation and economic success on a challenging and competitive market. Many theorists believe that collaboration is the key to integrating technology, financial competence and innovation.

The purpose with this essay has been to describe and understand why youth community service became a penalty in Sweden. The political discourse in which youth community service was established has been analyzed with Laclau & Mouffe´s discourse theory. A social constructivist onset and a discourse analysis were the methodological tools of the essay. The result is two folded. Youth community service was created to strengthen the constitutional state, combined with high beliefs of the social services competence.

Utagerande beteende riskerar att få allvarliga konsekvenser för individ och omgivning. Orsaker och behandling av utagerande beteende har studerats ingående, men forskning har fokuserat på studier av pojkar och det är oklart hur detta kan generaliseras till flickor. Intresset att studera utagerande beteende bland flickor har ökat då det tycks vara vanligt före­kommande och flickorna löper stor risk för negativ utveckling och riskerar föra problemen vidare till nästa generation. Syftet i föreliggande studie var att beskriva problematiken hos en grupp flickor med utagerande beteende, utforma behandling för den aktuella gruppen samt diskutera och utvärdera behandlingen. Data samlades in genom föräldra- och lärarskattningar, minnesanteckningar och intervju.

Lansen Technology develops and sells alarm systems. The communication between the system devices are wireless. The radio protocol used by the system is developed by Lansen with the purpose to be energy efficient. The alarm systems target groups are individuals, businesses and government agencies. The current system is installed, configured and controlled from a control panel for all audiences.

My work deals with large scale design of the urban fringe. The thesis is divided in three parts; ?Current viewpoints?, ?Infra City ? conditions ? and ?Infra City ? project?. In the first part, I go through the history of trade shortly. Then I discuss the concept of nature, which ends up in a linkage between natural science and aesthetics in landscape architecture. The link between those two makes a project stronger and more multifunctional. The object of my case, Infra City, is a mall situated north of Stockholm on both sides of the E4 motorway going to Arlanda airport.

Sustainability has become more interesting to several companies through the last years, the trend attracts lots of attention around sustainability. Sustainable development means different to different people. The most frequent definition that we have found and which we believes compare with our definition of sustainable development.?a social change which satisfies daily needs without endanger next generation?s possibilities to satisfy their needs?.We have in this project commence from the English word sustainability and establish our own apprehension of its meaning, in the Swedish translation we have chose to call it sustainable development.This study is a part of an extensive project which is going on around the world and the material of the empirical study is designed after the international variation.Our study on over fifty small and medium sized enterprises has got the conclusion about what they think of sustainable development. Drawing on a broad theoretical framework that includes theories about globalisation and honourculture, this thesis aim is to demonstrate that globalisation and honourculture, constitute a conceptual network, i.e a structural relational matrix in which concepts are embedded. Being part of conceptual network, these concepts are related to each other ontologically. The idea of conceptual network, and the thesis as a whole, draw upon what has been called ?relational perspective?This study aims to show the impact of globalisation on honourculture. The study shows the importance of narrative in the construction of discursive boundaries.

Youth unemployement in Sweden is at an all-time high, a fifth of all university and college students live in poverty and the number of young on welfare is increasing. This study attempts to answer the question of how youth deprivation has been made possible as a consequence of political action, focusing on youth unemployment.I critically examine the role of the Swedish government, the Swedish Labour Organisation (LO), and the various government departments through text analysis, in order to answer the question of how the current discourse on youth position in the labor market. Because youth unemployment is not an isolated phenomena the analysis covers several policy areas, such as education policy, labor market regulation and housing policy. I use discourse theories drawn from Laclau and Mouffe to expose how language is used as an instrument of political power.I conclude that the current situation is a result of policy choices where the young have fallen behind due to lack of political organization. Their situation is not problematized to the required degree and is often explained on an individual level rather than on a structural level..
