Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att bidra till en bättre förståelse för anställdas upplevelser av Strategic Human Resource Management, och organisationens arbetsgivarvarumärke. Studien genomförs på en organisation inom den offentliga sektorn. Metoden för datainsamling för denna studie är dokument samt semistrukturerade intervjuer med chefer och medarbetare. Resultatet visar på att medarbetarnas upplevelser gällande de strategiska aktiviteterna kopplade till HR är positiva samt att de bidrar till organisationens attraktionskraft som arbetsgivare. Teoretiska implikationer för denna studie är att den visar på anställdas upplevelser kring strategiska aktiviteter samt deras upplevelser kring kopplingarna mellan SHRM och organisationens attraktionskraft som arbetsgivare.

Denna uppsats avser att belysa frågan varför prototyper är ett viktigt verktyg i en utvecklingsprocess av ett mobilt system. Fördelar och nackdelar som verktyget kan innebära behandlas och olika tillvägagångssätt beskrivs. Arbetet med detta baseras i ett praktiskt utvecklingsprojekt på IT-kunsultföretaget Citerus. Projektuppgiften var där att genom en informationflödesanalys definiera olika flaskhalsar i informationsflödet på olika hotell för att sedan föreslå ett effektiviserande system. Projektet koncentrerades vidare på städpersonalen och deras arbete. Utifrån fortsatta studier föreslogs ett mobilt system som ger städpersonalen information för att lättare och effektivare göra sitt jobb. I flera olika forskningsdiscipliner som berör design och systemutveckling förespråkas ett utvecklingssätt med hjälp av prototyper.

The purpose of this thesis is to study the level of democracy within the European Union (EU). To do so the following issues were examined: How the EU works and the efforts it has made to improve levels of democracy; and the degree to which the EU fulfils the criteria set by Robert Dahl in his theory of polyarchy.The study is based on a qualitative text analysis. The focus of the analysis is documents released by the EU that can be connected to democracy, and Human and fundamental rights. The theory of polyarchy proposed by Robert Dahl and Joseph Schumpeter?s theory of democracy are the principal theories applied.

The determination of the optical properties of biological tissue is an important issue in laser medicine. The optical properties define the tissue´s absorption and scattering behaviour, and can be expressed by quantities such as the albedo, the optical thickness and the anisotropy coefficient. During this project, a measurement system for the determination of the optical properties was built up. The system consists of a double integrating sphere set-up to perform the necessary reflection and transmission measurements, and a computer algorithm to calculate the optical properties from the measured data. This algorithm is called Inverse Adding Doubling method, and is based on a one-dimensional transport model.

The purpose of this study was to examine how the authorities in Sweden collaborate when it comes to discourage trafficking for sexual purposes. More specifically the aim was to find which directives and problems the work of the individual authorities constitute in and how does it affect collaboration with other authorities. The study was based on interviews with six respondents, which have experience working within this field. Three themes were identified: what is collaboration, different perspectives, regulatory frameworks and different fundamental values within the organisations. The study concluded that collaboration is affected by several factors such as the absence of knowledge about trafficking for sexual purposes and the laws which regulate confidentiality, difficulties in defining collaboration as a concept and the authorities different ideas about what have to be done in the context of discouraging trafficking for sexual purposes.

The use of vision applications are growing and the demand for integration and connectivity with other industrial automation control devices is increasing. Some businesses that are using vision technology follow US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) regulation concerning audit trail. This thesis investigates the possibility to use vision technology for counting objects, achieving connectivity and to follow FDAs audit trail regulation. A market survey has been used to select suitable hardware and software to be used in the design of an application that is able to count objects and that uses standard industrial network connection i.e. OPC data access and Microsoft?s .NET components over Ethernet.

I föreliggande undersökning har fem kvinnliga mellanchefer, inom den offentliga sektorn intervjuats om sina upplevelser och erfarenheter av hinder och möjligheter för deras karriärutveckling och chefskap. I undersökningen har jag använt kvalitativ metod i form av halvstrukturerade intervjuer. Resultat och analysdelen indelas i fyra olika teman: beskrivning av ledarskap, män och kvinnors chefsegenskaper och ledarstilar, karriär ? ambitioner och möjligheter samt familjens betydelse. Under dessa rubriker redovisas resultaten och paralleller dras till Human relationsteori, kön som social konstruktion, homosocialitet, möjlighetsstruktur och familjeorientering.

The aim of this paper was to describe the phenomenon of threats and violence within a Swedish penal institution. The study was thematized according to the three main research questions. These were as follows; The threats and violence prison staff have experienced in their workplace (I) how these experiences affected them in their work performances (II) and in their private life (III). By a qualitative design, in-depth interviews were carried out with four persons who are, or formerly have been, gainfully employed at a penal institution. Concepts from the theory of symbolic interactionism and a theory of Human action have been used in the analysing process of this paper.

Denna rapport redogör för en utvärdering av praktisk tillämpning av ACTA (Applied Cognitive Task Analysis). Studien har genomförts vid Saab AB (publ) i Linköping. ACTA består av tre intervjutekniker och resulterar i en tabell över kognitiva krav. Metoden är speciellt utvecklad för att kunna användas av praktiker, utan kunskap om kognitiv psykologi eller Human factors. Metoden är tänkt att utgöra ett verktyg med vars hjälp praktiker kan ta fram de expertkunskaper mycket erfarna personer besitter, för att sedan använda informationen som underlag för exempelvis systemdesign.

Genom att föra samman människor med olika bakgrund och utbildning kan åtskilliga idéer skapas, nya metoder utvecklas och mer kreativa och originella designlösningar produceras. Baksidan är, att ju fler olika människor med olika bakgrund som är involverade i ett projekt desto svårare blir det att kommunicera inom gruppen av olika individer och svårare att komma vidare i en design- och utvecklingsprocess. Vi har under våren deltagit som en del i ett större programvaruutvecklingsprojekt och skapat och använt oss av flera olika designartefakter som medel för att främja samarbete, kommunikation och designarbetet av den produkt vi utvecklade. I denna uppsats beskriver vi hur dessa designartefakter har kommit till, förändrats och hur de har påverkat oss och vårt designarbete. Syftet med uppsatsen är att visa på vilket sätt man kan integrera metoder från olika discipliner i ett programvaruutvecklingsprojekt och framförallt hur arbetet med, och kring designartefakter spelar en viktig roll i utvecklingen av en produkt..

Ecolean Development AB are developing and manufacturing filling machines for pasteurized liquid food products. Because of lack of any appropriate supplier of box closer which seals boxes with small flaps, they have decided to start a project to develop a prototype of a box closer. Due to long experience from industrial automation I have been given a chance to develop control system for a box closer. Degree thesis involves electric design in ELPROCAD ic PRO and programming of PLC (programmable logic controller) and HMI (Human Machine Interface). The report describes degree project from the project plan phase via the development phase to the conclusions.

Vår studie är inriktad på att finna en heltäckande modell för lönsamhetsberäkningar på utbildning mellan företag. Genom en fallstudie har vi studerat Axis Communications' Academy, där Axis Communications utbildar sina kunder inom nätverkskameror. Vi har fört samman avkastningsberäkningar (RoI) med kunskapsöverföring och utvärdering av utbildning till en modell vi kommit att kalla Modell för Kunskapsöverföring, Utvärdering och Lönsamhet, KUL-modellen. Modellen har sammanfört tidigare forskning inom Knowledge Transfer och Human Resource Development, för att komplettera RoI. I modellen framgår att det går att mäta kunskapsöverföringen i en utbildning genom faktorerna Erfarenhet, Avstånd, Relation, Motivation, Reaktion, Implicitet och Specificitet.

The connection between fluorescence and color management still is a relatively unexplored area. Thefollowing composition analyses the theory that when printing on fluorescent ink jet paper using ICCprofilesa more yellow print will appear. In theory the ICC-profile compensate for blue light that fluorescefrom the paper with the complementary color, yellow. The Human eye apprehands this fluorescentlight as white.When categorizing a number of ink jet qualities some tests to indicate change of color in the final printwere made. Five qualities were chosen for further analyses, each with different white point.

This thesis is about how ideology affects the way leadership literature measures good and bad leadership qualities. The paper argues that ideological influences in leadership literature, from a teacher perspective, complicate the understanding of leadership in its practice and theory. The methodological tool used in this thesis is an idea- and ideology analysis approach applied on leadership literature that is used in teacher education. A theoretical discussion about the definition of leadership and its possible ideological connotations sets a frame for measuring ideological influences in the texts. The analysis from the textbooks showed clear signs of ideological influences when talking about leadership.

Background:Persons living with a mental illness often have to put up with a financial disadvantage. Their ability to work is often limited and because of that they have to rely on the welfare reform to get an income. This income is often low compared to other citizens which by itself is something strongly associated with mental illness. Purpose: The purpose in this study was to describe how people living with a mental illness experience that their economic situation has an impact on their daily life. Method: This study is a literature review containing nine scientific articles from previous research.
