10 years ago the School Library Forum´s core activity started; the development of model libraries. Since then, no comprehensive study of the School Library Forum has been made. How does the organization actually work and how do professionals perceive the changes of the organization? Against this background, the purpose of my essay is to examine the activity of the organization School Library Forum with a focus on organization and learning from the viewpoint of the learning organization. The following issues have been helpful to meet the purpose of the study:? How do the business developer, the principals and the school librarians experience the collaboration on the school-libraries model-library activity?? How does the collaboration contribute to learning within the organization according to the business developer, the principals and the school librarians?? How do the business developer, the principals and the school librarians perceive the changes in the School Library Forum´s organization, seen from the perspective of the learning organization?By conducting five interviews with stakeholders in various positions within the organization, such as business developer, principals and school librarians, a deeper insight into how respondents perceive the business from the perspective of the learning organization is obtained.

Pollen analysis of a peat core was used to reconstruct the last 2500 years of vegetation history, with focus on the impact of anthropogenic disturbance, in Hamra National Park, central Sweden. In addition, analysis of pollen in soil samples was performed in an attempt to locate ancient cultivation plots in the National Park. SammanfattningBakgrund: Prostatacancer är den mest förekommande cancerformen hos män i Sverige, vilket innebär att det finns många närstående till män med prostatacancer i sjukvården. Sjuksköterskor behöver därför kunna bistå med hjälp och stöd under sjukdomstiden. Syfte: Att beskriva närståendes erfarenheter av att leva med en partner som drabbats av prostatacancer. Metod: En litteraturöversikt baserad på kvalitativ data med induktiv ansats valdes. Resultatet baserades på elva originalartiklar som har kvalitetsgranskats samt analyserats utifrån Fribergs femstegsmodell. Resultat: Dataanalysen genererade fyra huvudkategorier. I En gemensam resa framkom det att beslut var ett delat ansvar och att få och ge stöd var av stor vikt. I Att försöka kontrollera vardagen beskrivs de känslomässiga reaktioner som fanns hos närstående samt deras förmåga att hantera vardagen.

Syfte: Att skapa förståelse för hur människor inom HR-avdelningar upplever de olika rollerna som arbetet kräver. Vi ämnar skapa en större medvetenhet för den utsatta position som HR-arbetare befinner sig i, för att belysa och möjliggöra förebyggande åtgärder. En ökad förståelse för rollproblematiken hos HR-arbetare kan även underlätta orienteringen och förhållningen till de roller som individer och avdelningar själva intar samt de roller som de påtvingas. Resultaten ämnar även mynna ut i ett underlag för reflektion om HR-arbetares egen nutida samt framtida roll i organisationen och hur de kan nå en önskvärd position där fler intressenter blir nöjda.Metod: Studien baseras på en fallstudie i ett stort företag som ingår i en internationell koncern. Arbetet har utförts med hjälp av en kvalitativ forskningsstrategi, som fokuserar på intervjuer, samt en deduktiv ansats.Resultat: Studien påvisar brister i befintlig teori gällande HR-arbetares utsatta position.

Electronic availability of information resources has increasingly become an important part of academic libraries everyday vocation. This is a fact that puts impetus on the libraries to know more about the way in which electronic information is being dispersed and handled. This thesis aims to comparatively evaluate Uppsala university library´s own metadata system Summon with the publicly available equivalent Google scholar. The evaluation is based on Péter Jacsó´s theories on database evaluation which concretely puts focus on Summon and Google scholar via the use and application of ten different criteria. The uses of precision and relevance criteria were also implemented as additional evaluation tools.

This study is about job training for people with psycho-social problems without income. The purpose with this sort of job training is to bring these people back to the regular labor market as well as the experience of having a job. In the labor market situation in Sweden today there?s no guarantee that the individual will return to the labor market after having undergone job training. The aim of this study is to understand how supervisors at job training activities experience that the organizations of the activities and resources affect their work.

Bakgrund: Våld i nära relationer definieras enligt WHO som ?beteende hos en partner eller ex-partner, som orsakar fysisk, sexuell eller psykologisk skada, vilket inkluderar fysisk aggression, sexuella övergrepp,psykologisk misshandel och kontrollerande beteende?. Det är under de senaste 20 åren som våld mot kvinnor har uppmärksammats, tidigare betraktades det mer som en privat angelägenhet. Idag erkänns våldet som ett stort folkhälsoproblem och en kränkning av de mänskliga rättigheterna. Ca 30 % av alla världens kvinnor rapporterar att de upplevt någon form av misshandel av en partner och i Sverige är den siffran 46% hos kvinnor mellan 15-64 år.

Prostatacancer är en av de mest vanliga cancersjukdomarna globalt sett och den vanligaste cancerformen i Sverige. Om männen när de får diagnosen är i en relation med någon kan även denna person påverkas av detta. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka dessa partners erfarenhet av att leva med en man med prostatacancer. En litteraturöversikt baserad på kvalitativt material utfördes. Femton artiklar analyserades och åtta kategorier kunde identifieras: rsn, Anhörigvårdare, Information, Stöd, Sexualitet och Intimitet, Team, Kommunikation och Vardagen.

The thesis investigates how two of the world?s most powerful international actors, the US and the EU want to promote democracy and human rights. The aim is to compare how the US and the EU work in order to support a democratic development in the world. In order to fulfill the purpose of the thesis a qualitative text analysis was used. Since the aim is to compare the US and the EU I believe this method is beneficial.

This study investigates how nutrients from source-separated human urine from Gothenburg properties can be used as fertiliser in agriculture or for parks or sports fields. The initiator is the Department of Sustainable Water and Waste Management at the City of Gothenburg. Today urine-diverting systems are installed in two apartment buildings and two public-use buildings. Urine recycling is expected to lead to less exploitation of natural resources and less eutrophicating discharges into water recipients. In the study the urine?s market potential is investigated, for which practical handling issues, business aspects and acceptance of customers, employees and visitors have proved to be important.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate an existing user interface. The company in question has a web-based user interface (available through logging in via their website), but they are interested in making the process of using the interface more convenient and the interface more accessible, so that users without a background in computing can properly manage the interface. At the same time they want to apply additional functionalities in order create and to manage increased traffic on the company?s website. For this reason it is important to take into account the issues involved in human-computer interaction (HCI) as well as aspects of cognitive psychology in order to make the tool and the web interface more usable, more motivational, and therefore more efficient and professional.

The aim of this study has been to understand how teachers make pupils come up with new business ideas. This is relevant as the schools in Sweden has to have entrepreneurial teaching in their education. To get an understanding of how teachers teach the pupils how to think differently so that new business ideas can evolve the study is based on interviews with five successful teachers. The teachers have all had pupils that during one year have had their own almost real companies that they have to manage. They start with inventing a new business idea and then they produce the product or service they decided to sell.
