Grundvärdens betydelse för anställdas commitment - En komparativ fallstudie mellan en vinstdrivande organisation och en icke-vinstdrivande organisation

The need to attract and retain individuals who add value to the organization constitutes an increasing challenge facing human resource professionals. In this context it is essential to establish stronger links between the individuals and the organization they work for. The aim of this study is to explore and discuss the role of ethical core values such as trust, respect, fairness, and honesty as a critical antecedent to employee commitment. From the perspective of employees, a comparative case study is conducted in two organizations with two different reasons to exist - a profit organization and a non-profit organization. The study concludes that organizations should have a high focus on people's core values when they recruit new employees as well as for educating and training their existing employees and managers.

Kompetensf?rs?rjning under digital transformation En kvalitativ studie om hur sm? och medelstora managementkonsultbolag i Sverige arbetar med kompetensf?rs?rjning

The aim of this thesis is to analyze how small and medium-sized management consulting firms in Sweden work with human resource management during digital transformation. By interviewing companies, this study explores their approach to attracting, recruiting, and developing competence. The results showed that management consulting firms have good access to candidates, made possible by having a strong corporate culture and attractive working conditions - Crucial parts for attracting talent. Social media and networking are frequently used for marketing and attracting interesting candidates. Digital tools and social media showed to be useful during the recruitment process, but personal contacts and networking still play a central role.

Standardisering kontra flexibilitet : En fallstudie av utvecklingsprocesser

Process standardization is a topic that has generated a lot of research and literature. At first, the focus was on production; today processes are used in all different kind of business areas.The aim of this study has been to analyze how processes can be applied on development businesses and how IT systems affect the result of the process. To accomplish this, we have asked questions such as what standardization is in a development process? Why are the processes standardized? What difficulties can appear with standardization? And how the IT-systems affect the result of the process?To answer these questions, we have preformed a case study on Saab. Saab is a well know Swedish company who are working with a project called the GMS-project, where they develop processes to cover the whole company´s business areas.The literature gives the reader an understanding of processes and standardization.

Paragrafrytteri eller inte?: en studie om en personaladministratörs vardagliga arbete

Syftet med forskningen är att ta reda på hur en personaladministratörs vardagliga arbete ser ut samt att undersöka om en personaladministratörs vardagliga arbete handlar om paragrafrytteri. För att får svar på syftet genomfördes den kvalitativa forskningsmetodens deltagande observation och intervju. I två dagar observerade jag en personaladministratörs vardagliga arbete och därefter genomförde jag intervjun. I denna uppsats har jag redovisat resultatet så teorilöst som möjligt för att läsaren skall få en helhetsförståelse av hur en personaladministratörs vardagliga arbete kan se ut. I undersökningen fann jag att personaladministratörens arbetsuppgifter är bland annat att ta fram underlag för strategiska program och policyprogram, avtalstolkning, lönefrågor, lönekartläggning, ekonomi samt hjälpa övriga anställda i olika frågor inom det personaladministrativa området.

The study Packning i tid och rum (Crowding in Time and Space) is a Master Thesis in Human Geography within Geography, presented at Södertörn University College.The aim is to investigate the connections between time and space, more particularly, geographical changes over time. This is done by focusing on the Study of Land use as a phenomenon and on-going processes in demarcated areas. Distinct areas are given special interest, i.e. how they are used. The study deals with three different kinds of sites in three levels of scale: a market garden, cemeteries and a residential area.The main focus of the study is on the cemeteries.

 In this essay our starting point was the question:? How youth experience their ongoing sojourn in the resource school?? We did a qualitative study with interviews. We interviewed totally eight youth with different backgrounds. The head question was youth´s positive and negative experiences about ongoing sojourn in the resource school compared with their home school. In the result, we came until that most of the youth were pleased with their sojourn in the resource school.

Human capital is professional service firms' most valuable resource and its quality is closely linked to the quality of its services. The purpose of this study is to investigate how professional service firms appraise their employees. A comparative study between an architecture firm and a management consulting firm is conducted with the aim to identify and explain similarities and differences in performance appraisal. Two qualitative case studies are performed and interviews as well as documents are used to explore the area. The thesis builds on a critical perspective and it has an explorative approach.
