Title: Experiences of Banner advertisement on a specialized Homepage Author: Marcus Westerberg Supervisor: Marie Hemming Department: Department of Business Administration, IEM Course: Bachelor thesis in Business Administration, FEC 007 Purpose: Create a understanding for how the users on Internet pages experience the occurrence and the shape of the banners. Method: Methods used are quantitative and qualitative, and the facts and figures are based on a pop up inquiry and some telephoneinterviews. I elected pop up inquiry and telephoneinterview as my data collection. My inquiry had a high grade of standardization and the interviews had a low grade of standardization. Result: On the basis of the question of issue I have drawn the conclusion that the users feels that it is important with information in all advertising. It is also important for the users to create a value around the product. The users do not have the time to figure out the message behind advertising, the want simple and massive information about the product/service.

For many companies, the Internet has revolutionized the relationship they have with their customers concerning costumer service. The use of Information Technology in regard to Internet as a media has provided companies with the opportunity to build customer databases in order to target their customers individually. The airline industry was one of the first pioneers to use the full potential of Internet to improve customer relations and its profits which we aim to investigate in greater detail in our thesis.Our thesis answers the question on how Scandinavian Airlines' (SAS) Eurobonus department uses their website to create valuable and profitable relationships with SAS loyalty club members through direct marketing. In order to answer our research question, three key informants have been interviewed - each representing different sub departments at Eurobonus; service and support, IT and marketing. Our results were that the Eurobonus department use direct marketing methods by sending customized e-mail offerings to target specific customer, using their customer databases.

Syftet med denna slutreflektion är att visa problemen men även möjligheterna i marknadsföringen av spelet Forced2Fight av det lilla teamet i Kick the Owl Productions. Begränsad budget, osäker framtid för både team och spel är något som måste övervinnas. För att kunna angripa dessa problem har jag studerat en rad olika tillvägagångssätt och kommit fram till ett lämpligt tillvägagångssätt riktat åt gräsrötterna för att bygga upp varumärket. Den effektivaste strategin bör i min mening vara att marknadsföra gruppen via traditionella medier och förankra spelet i den relevanta målgruppen direkt via fora och andra sociala medier. Kontakta både framträdande medlemmar i sociala grupper samt expertgrupper bestående av kunniga spelentuseaster.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to make a survey of the display phenomenon at Swedish public libraries. Therefore the authors of this essay seek to understand why media is being displayed on the websites of public libraries, how it is being displayed and what kind of consequences the displaying will provide according to the respondents. The theoretical framework is based on different theories where marketing and availability defines the equal summary.

Litorapid Media AB : En företagspresentation bestående av en hemsida och en cd-produktion

Litorapid Media AB is a printer and prepresscompany, located on Hisingen, Gothenburg. Litorapid is a relatively large company, and is therefore in great need of convenient contacts with becoming and present customers. Seeing that they work with the most rescent technique in the branch of printing, it is important that they market themselves in a modern way. The purpose with this project became, for that reason, to create a more contemporary home page for the company to catch new customers, as well as aninteractive presentation of the company to create a more personal contact with customers they alreay have. The home page was created in the programme Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, and its design is based on previouly distributed brochures.

The aim of this study is to examine the market reaction when information about a company?s foreign direct investment is announced and how that affects the shareholder?s value. Also of interest is whether the market reacts differently depending on which country the investment is established in and which mode of entry is used. This will be achieved by using an event study approach. The selection that was used consisted of 206 companies registered on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic Homepage, which had during a time period stretching from 1999 to 2009 established a foreign direct investment in the regions BRIC, Europe or the USA using the mode of organic growth, joint venture or acquisition.

The main purpose of this Masters thesis is to examine how Braille users needs are satisfied by The Library of Talking Books and Braille TPB. The other issues are: How do some of the library workers at TPB experience that the needs of Braille users are satisfied? Is it possible to make the service better in the future for Braille users and in that case, how? The study is based upon interviews with five persons, who have defective vision and read Braille. I have also interviewed two employees at TPB who have defective vision. To build up a complete background presentation of the subject I have chosen a book about hermeneutic interpretation to understand how historic facts influence the function of the subject today and in the future.

Tilltal i bild och text : En studie av gymnasieskolors hemsidor ur ett kommunikationsperspektiv

Due to political decisions regarding the Swedish school, public and independent schools booth face the need topromote themselves in the quest for new pupils. This study aims to, from a communications perspective, examine how four selected upper secondary schools address their target audience; the pupils?to?be, on their Homepages. Additionally, I intend to investigate whether, and if so, how, said addressing can be connected to the different target groups applying to the schools in question.The questions asked in this study regard the way in which the selected schools describe themselves on their Homepage; how do they use the textual and visual content to address their audience, and can there be disagreement between the meaning of the text and that of the image? To answer these questions, I use a theoretical base made out of visual communication and semiotic as well as rhetorical analyses.The methodological procedure is a qualitative approach on the matter, allowing me to understand the ?what? of the content on the Homepages, as well as the ?how? it?s being communicated.

Pedagogik och Lärande : Infact - En grafisk inlärningsprocess

This report of 10 credits is a C ? level essay in informatics.The report presents the result of our investigation. The purpose is to answer our problem statements:?How does computer-based graphical pedagogical tools work compared to traditional teaching aids? What is the users view upon the content? Is the information too hard or too easy? Does the structure work better than the traditional website design??Infact is a system that has as its primary goal to present information in a pedagogical way to let users of all ages and sexes learn from the contents. The information shown on the web page www.forskning.se is about Swedish and international research and the sites primary target users are high school students.In our investigation we asked a total of sixteen students divided into three groups a number of questions where after we started a discussion that we hoped would yield some answers about Infact and the Homepage in general.Our main conclusion is that Infact is a good tool to use side by side with the textbooks and the traditional teaching aids.

As whole network society, the Internet is constantly developing.This study, implemented with qualitative interviews, has the purpose to give new, deep and interesting knowledge about business to business companies? communication and marketing on the Internet.

Föreställningar om barn inom I Ur och Skur - en idé- och ideologi analys

Sweden is currently a country in which a large amount of children?s time has changed to be spent within institutions, for small children these institutions are preschools. These are places where notions are created regarding what children are, what?s good for children, what?s normal and desirable regarding children. The purpose of this study has been to decipher what?s considered desirable and what notions or ideas regarding children are prevalent in preschools with an I Ur och Skur profile.
