Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur socialarbetare i olika kommuner i Sverige resonerar kring homosexuella som vill bli fosterföräldrar. Mina övriga frågeställningar är hur de beskriver ett bra familjehem, och hur de resonerar om barnets perspektiv (när det gäller barn som placeras i samkönade familjehem). Jag har använt mig av den kvalitativa forskningsmetoden genom att telefon-intervjua sju socialarbetare. De teorier som jag har valt, och som jag har använt mig av för att analysera mitt insamlade material är: Socialkonstruktivismen, Gayle Rubins modell om de sexuella hierarkierna, och Queer teorin. Det visar sig att homosexuella fosterföräldrar fortfarande är en minoritetsgrupp. Men trots det betonar socialarbetarna att fosterföräldrarnas sexuella identitet inte ska påverka utredningen.

Due to better nutrition, veterinary and overall care, pet dogs? lifespan has increased. With more old dogs we see more health problems associated with age, among those cognitive decline, leading to deficits in learning and memory, disorientation, anxiety and other altered behaviors. Cognitive decline can have severe negative impacts on the life of both dog and owner, when the dog for example forgets being housetrained or starts being awake at night. Two pet food manufacturers have developed food with specific ingredients in order to improve cognitive functions or delay the onset of cognitive impairment. Hill?s Pet Nutrition has developed a dog food with supplements of a broad spectrum of antioxidants and mitochondrial nutrients, aiming to diminish oxidative damage in the brain, thereby maintaining brain function and improving learning ability.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka några lärares erfarenheter av tysta elever och vad som kan göras för att få dessa elever att prata samt vad som faktiskt görs. Den metod som användes för undersökningen var kvalitativa intervjuer. Fem intervjuer gjordes med lärare verksamma i årskurs 7-9, varvid det framkom att de tysta eleverna oftare är flickor än pojkar och att situationer såsom diskussioner i klassen och muntliga redovisningar är problematiska. Lärarna upplevde det svårt att hjälpa de tysta eleverna, då de oftast undervisade i helklass, och kände sig hänvisade till att endast vara lyhörda för de tysta elevernas behov och uppmuntra dessa till att våga mer. Talträning i mindre grupper var den metod som ansågs kunna användas för att hjälpa de tysta eleverna.

Dagens sjuksköterskor arbetar i en tid då utvecklingen går otroligt fort fram och de förväntas hålla sig à jour med den senaste forskningen. Samtidigt är arbetsbelastningen hög då nedskärningar och ökat patienttryck präglar sjukvården, vilket resulterar i att kunskapsutvecklingen alltför ofta hamnar i skymundan. Hur hanterar nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor denna situation efter att ha genomgått en utbildning som till stor del fokuserar och baseras på forskning? Vilka möjligheter och förutsättningar har sjuksköterskan att öka sin kunskap på arbetsplatsen? Vilka tillvägagångssätt används och finns det möjlighet att implementera de nyförvärvade kunskaperna i verksamheten? Syftet med studien var att belysa om och hur det skapas förutsättningar för kunskapsutveckling för nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskor och vilka möjligheter som ges samt hur sjuksköterskorna ökar sin kunskap kring omvårdnad. Semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med sex sjuksköterskor på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige.
