Background: In our case study we have been studying a company that during the last seven years have tried to implement the control system Balanced Scorecard. They have during this period made three attempts. According to Kaplan and Norton, the creators of Balanced Scorecard, it should take about 16 weeks to implement a Balanced Scorecard. Purpose: Our purpose is to investigate which factors that influence the possibility to implement Balanced Scorecard. Method: We have conducted a case study where we have studied implementation at three levels in a company.

This bachelor thesis discus how store managers at Clas Ohlson motivate their co-workers at their everyday work.Motivation at work is essential, since engaging co-works makes the everyday routine work more effective. Otherwise that type of work can easily lead to unhappiness at the workplace which leads to less motivated workers, poor performance, even less motivated workers and this will start a negative circle.Other studies has shown that to in order to be pleased at a workplace and to keep qualified co-workers, the leaders needs to have knowledge in how they can use different techniques to increase staff motivation, but still motivation is not considered being an economic means of control. This has made me think about how leaders can motivate their workers at their everyday work.The questions at issue are:o How can leaders motivate co-workers in everyday work,o Which preferences the leaders consider control the individual motivation ando Which methods they can use to increase the motivation in the routine work.The purpose with this thesis is to study how leaders use their leadership to motivate workers to perform everyday work with more enthusiasm. To answer the question I have interviewed store managers at Clas Ohlson.In this thesis I have used a qualitative method, and I have compared relevant theories with the interviews I have done. Thus primary data has been gained through one-to-one interviews but also through mail interviews.

Motivation för ledarskap styrs av vÀrderingar, personlighet och tro pÄ sin förmÄga. Forskning har genererat tre motivationskategorier för ledarskap, affektiv-identitet ledarmotivation, icke-kalkylerande ledarmotivation och social-normativ ledarmotivation. Studien undersökte dessa tre motivationskategoriernas inbördes rangordning och skillnader mellan utbildningsinriktning och kön samt samband med generell self-efficacy och personlighetsegenskaper enligt femfaktormodellen.  192 studenter deltog frÄn en mellansvensk högskola, dÀrav 54 mÀn, 90 frÄn socionomprogrammen, 72 frÄn det internationella businessprogrammet och 30 frÄn tvÄ ingenjörsprogram.  De besvarade en enkÀt bestÄende av Chan och Drasgows Motivation to lead scale, Chen, Gully och Edens General self- efficacy scale och Shafers femfaktormodell Big Five Marker. Resultatet visar att det finns skillnader mellan motivationskategorier och utbildningsinriktning.

The aim of the study was to examine both 1) how aware teachers in a specific area are about ICT tools in teaching ; and 2) how likely teachers are to use ICT tools to reverse the trend of unmotivated students and low achievement scores . I will look for answers through the following questions:How extensive is the knowledge of the teachers on digital and social media in education? How have teachers in the past year used various social media in their teaching? In what grade does ICT-supported teaching lead to higher motivation, participation and achievement? Is there a difference between the sexes, different stages (1-3, 4-6, 7-9) and number of years in the profession in knowledge of and openness to the use of ICT in education?The method used is a questionnaire in which a number of respondents have answered a number of questions about ICT tools in teaching. Validity of the study can be said to be high when the survey has measured what it intended to measure, however, I need to be careful in draw full account of the result as the response rate is low with only 39%. In summary, the results show that there is low awareness among respondents about the methods and the digital and social tools I lift in the survey.Mainly the respondents use some of the methods and the digital and social tools in preparation for the lesson.

SammanfattningUppsatsen handlar om motivation utifrÄn ett lÀrarperspektiv. I ett försök att fÄ en bild av begreppet motivation har idén varit att granska utgiven litteratur och publicerad forskning inom omrÄdet. Med förhoppningen om att skaffa en verklighetsnÀra bild av hur lÀrare beskriver och resonerar kring begreppet har empiriska studier i form av intervjuer genomförts.Genom att vÀlja socialkonstruktionistisk teori som förhÄllningssÀtt har möjligheten givits att studera det som sÀgs i intervjuerna, utan att ifrÄgasÀtta huruvida detta Àr en korrekt beskrivning av verkligheten eller inte. Inom teorin ges sprÄket en stor betydelse dÄ det Àr genom detta förstÄelsen för omvÀrlden skapas.Resultatet bygger pÄ tvÄ intervjuer som vid olika tillfÀllen genomförts med en och samma lÀrare. Avsikten med intervjuerna har dels varit att följa lÀrarens resonemang rörande motivation pÄ ett allmÀnt plan och dels med utgÄngspunkt frÄn hur denne arbetar med omrÄdet.Undersökningen visar att det resonemang som förs tycks följa det som tidigare forskning redan beskrivit.

The purpose of this essay is to compare a theoretical strategic process model with the strategic work in a Swedish bank. The reason of the comparison was to identify which key success factors that is essential in strategic implementation processes. To make this study feasible three qualitative interviews were executed and it also presents data from a quantitative survey performed by the bank. The theory of the study examines eight different parts that needs to be looked at attentively when new strategies are formulated. The results points out that the work at large correspond, nevertheless the theoretical framework points out the importance of the business mission to impregnate the whole strategic process.

Earlier research has shown that combining education with entertainment can improve students motivation in school. With this study we aim to learn more about interactive digital learning resources and how they should be designed to entertain and thereby contribute to motivation. We have identified aspects of educational games that also could be considered when developing interactive digital learning resources, to make them more entertaining and motivating. We have chosen to study and evaluate an interactive digital learning resource called ?Grasp the Disaster?, a fictional online adventure created for students in the ages between 13-15.

The aim of this essay is to study the religious education which the Jewish Community of Göteborg offers to members between six and fourteen years of age. The main question of the essay is ?what function does the religious afternoon education serve for the Jewish Community of Göteborg??To answer this question I have interviewed four people who in various ways are engaged in the religious education. To analyse the result I have used DaniÚle Herviue-Léger?s theory ?religion as a chain of memory?.

Syfte: Att identifiera metoder för projektledare att anvÀnda motivation för att minimera negativ stress. Metod: Kvalitativa djupintervjuer Slutsatser: Vi har definierat tre metoder som bidrar till att en internaliseringskedja pÄbörjas. Internalisering ökar den inre motivationen bÄde hos projektledare och hos projektdeltagare och kan bidra till att minska negativ stress. Den första metoden handlar om att utveckla en modell gÀllande vilken information projektledare behöver frÄn bestÀllare nÀr projekt bestÀlls. Den andra metoden handlar ocksÄ om behovet av ökad bestÀllarkompetens, och innebÀr att utbilda bestÀllarna. Den tredje metoden innebÀr att tydliggöra grÀnsen mellan projektledarens och projektdeltagarnas ordinarie chefs ansvar nÀr det kommer till motivations- och stressfrÄgor gÀllande projektmedlemmarna.

Att vara egenföretagare Àr en anstÀllningsform som blir allt vanligare och genom att skapa en förstÄelse för varför denna anstÀllningsform vÀxer ökar Àven kunskapen om egenföretagarnas drivkraft och trivsel. Motivation har en nÀra koppling till arbetstillfredsstÀllelse och Àr en viktig del i egenföretagarnas vardag.  Studiens syfte var att skapa en förstÄelse om vad som pÄverkar egenföretagarnas arbetstillfredsstÀllelse och Àven att ta reda pÄ betydelsefulla motivationsfaktorer. Denna kvalitativa undersökning Àr baserad pÄ intervjuer av 15 egenföretagare. Resultatet visade att en god arbetsmiljö, utmaningar och sjÀlvstÀndighet har en positiv pÄverkan pÄ arbetstillfredsstÀllelsen medan en hög arbetsbelastning pÄverkade arbetstillfredsstÀllelsen negativt. Variation och skapande i arbetet, erkÀnnande och utveckling visade sig vara bland de starkaste motivationsfaktorerna för att egenföretagare skulle fortsÀtta driva sitt företag..

This thesis emphasizes the importance of understanding the employees? attitude and motivation towards their workplace at a company that works in the advertising business. An example company; thcommunication agency PS Communication in Stockholm, was used for the empirical part to investigate the purpose. The topic is interesting since the company works in a fast changing environment with new techniques,tools and professionals and the company is also going through an expansion that include many new recruitments.The purpose in this thesis is as follows: ?the purpose of this study is to elucidate the fate of attitude and motivation of employees in relation to the workplace during business expansion, if performance is reduced and competition increases.?The analysis and results shows that attitudes andmotivation among the employees in the workplace has deteriorated, the employees agree that it is due to expansion the company is undergoing.

Studies have shown that air pollution, as well as bark fissure depth and sun exposure of a tree can have an effect on lichen growth as well as abundance of lichen species. The aim of this study was to find out the relative importance of these factors. 211 oaks in south eastern Sweden were surveyed for presence of 17 lichen species, as well as the total number of lichen species. Half of the trees were situated in urban areas and half in the countryside. For each tree the bark fissure depth was measured and the sun exposure of the trunk was estimated.

The purpose of this literature study was to describe how patients experience their quality of life while undergoing a pacemaker implantation. Searches were carried out in the databases Academic Search Elite, Ebsco Host, Pub Med, Pub Med Central, Science Direct and manually. Keywords used were quality of life, treatment outcomes, emotions, pacing and life. This resulted in nineteen peer rewieved articles that were selected for the study results. The results showed that patients undergoing a pacemaker implantation experienced an improvement in their physical health with increased functional status, more energy and strength.

BÄda formulÀren Àr undersökta av forskare vad gÀller validitet och reliabilitet.ResultatResultatet i vÄr undersökning visade att projektledare pÄ Karolinska hade en högre förekomst av transformellt ledarskap Àn de pÄ Scania. I bÄda organisationerna fanns Àven transaktionellt ledarskap i ganska stor utstrÀckning medan förekomsten av passivt undvikande ledarskap var lÀgre. I analysen av underfaktorerna i MLQ Leader Form (5x-Short) visade vÄra data för transformellt ledarskap att idealiserade inflytandet och intellektuell stimulans lÄg högre pÄ Karolinska.
