This paper addresses the question about what role typography plays in the interpretation of a text. From three different handbooks in typography arguments are gathered and categorized in to three categories: roman types, san serif and others. Interviews with people from the graphic design area are also a part of the paper and are accounted for in the discussion part of the paper. Areas of theory are a broad hermeneutic view based on Hans-Georg Gadamers thoughts, which have sub categories such as: Michel Foucault?s theory about discourses, John Swales genre theory and Anders Björkvall?s thoughts on typography and multi-modal texts.

Avsikten med detta examensarbete är att identifiera, beskriva och förstå företeelser och processer som är en del av den muntliga matematiska kommunikationen mellan lärare och elev i klassrummet. För att uppnå detta har observationer som metod använts och dessa har gjorts i årskurs två och fem. Undersökningen gjordes utifrån två undervisningstyper, helklassundervisning och bänkundervisning. Resultatet visar att vid dessa undervisningstyper är kommunikationen till stor del av lotsande och sluten karaktär. Det vill säga att läraren leder eleven mot svaret genom mer och mer avgränsande frågor respektive att läraren använder frågor som det finns ett, och endast ett rätt svar till.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate the melancholic, poetic language in Bübins unge (Bübin´s brat) by Mare Kandre (1962 ? 2005). In my opinion the novel, which is about a teenage ritual, also gives an imaginary arena for archaic and unmentionable experiences of the libido. It is therefore a witness to the truth of the subjects complex mind. To my assistance I have Julia Kristeva´s theory on the abjection, the successful melancholia and her concepts of the outsider and the catharsis.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att belysa hur barn i tre respektive nio månaders ålder responderar på omsorgspersoners mentaliseringsförmåga. Uppsatsen är genomförd som en pilotstudie med ett begränsat urval för att pröva mentaliseringsförmågan som utgångspunkt för metod och tillämpning i samspelsstudier. Fyra familjer har ingått i undersökningen och filmer av deras samspel har kodats och analyserats. Uppsatsen ger intressanta hypoteser för fortsatta studier i ämnet om hur omsorgspersoners mentaliseringsförmåga kan avläsas i barns responser. En slutsats som dras är att omsorgspersonernas samspel och följsamhet i vad barnet eventuellt tänker avspeglas i barnens responser, något som kan generera vidare forskning om vad som är av vikt för att barn skall fortsätta att utvecklas. .

The purpose of this report was to increase knowledge regarding the co-operation between social services from the perspective of employees at a school. The focus was on the question: ?In the schools view, what is the relevance of co-operating with social services?? The problem was divided into three categories; the value of the co-operation, the schools discourse on co-operation and the balance of power in the co-operation. The scientific topic was addressed using a qualitative survey method at a school. Four people were interview; the principal, the welfare officer, and two teachers.

My study is focused on one organization with is Unicef, the organization that is workning on a UN mission. The mission is about children's rights and Unicef has brought children's actions since 1946.The purpose of this essay was to research whether the images can be used alone or as a complement to the text that the communication organizations use. By examining the way images are used, I hoped to be able to deduce the results of image use. I study if the effect out messages with only pictures will be more effective than the message in which the verbal mixed with the non-verbal.Theoretical part of this essay has a communication perspective. The essay is structure by tree elements, non-verbal communication, mass communication and intercultural communication.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur samspelet mellan föräldrar avspeglas i samspelet mellan föräldrar och barn, utifrån ett intersubjektivt perspektiv. Uppsatsen är genomförd som en pilotstudie, med ett begränsat urval, för att pröva tillämpningen av intersubjektivitet som utgångspunkt för metod och tillämpning i samspelsstudier.Fem familjer har ingått i undersökningen och filmer av deras samspel har kodats och analyserats.Uppsatsen ger intressanta utgångspunkter för fortsatt forskning på området. En slutsats som dras är att samspelet avspeglas genom att hög grad av delad uppmärksamhet, intentionalitet och synkronicitet i föräldrardyaden har starkt samband med detsamma i föräldra/barn-triaden, vilket kan anses vara användbar kunskap inom familjerådgivande och föräldrastödjande verksamheter. .

Hantering av information blir allt viktigare i dagens informationssamhälle då information är en av de värdefullaste tillgångarna för verksamheter. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att skapa ett styrdokument för IT-administratörer som hjälper dem vid klassificering av informationssystem. Styrdokumentet har som uppgift att kontrollera att informationssystem lever upp till verksamheternas krav som finns på konfidentialitet, integritet, tillgänglighet och spårbarhet. Styrdokumentets vetenskapliga värde har verifierats genom att utvalda IT-administratörer undersökt och utvärderat styrdokumentet. Resultatet visar att styrdokumentet kan användas som ett hjälpmedel.

The aim of this study was to gain an understanding about how people with a former alcohol abuse expresses and gives meaning to feelings of guilt and shame in autobiographical books. In particular the purpose of the study was to find out how the authors writes about feelings of guilt and shame, whether it was expressed explicitly or implicitly, and which meaning the authors gives to feelings of guilt and shame and how these feelings are related to each other. We randomly selected 8 autobiographical books by using different criterias. The foundation of this study was social constructionism, which is also a foundation for one of our analysis methods: discourse analyse. This analysis method was used for the analysis of the expressions that were made in an explicit way.

Vårt syfte är att med fokus på en affärsrelation mellan en researrangör och dess hotelleverantörer undersöka dynamiken och karaktären i denna vid en kvalitetsförbättringsprocess. För att få ett djup i vår undersökning har vi gjort en kvalitativ ansats vilken är baserad på nio intervjuer. Scandorama utgör fallstudieobjekt och den empiriska ansatsen består av intervjuade representanter därifrån samt med hotelleverantörer till Scandorama. Vi har till detta applicerat teori som belyser konstellationer i relationer, drivkrafter, relationsmarknadsföring, kvalitet och processförändring. Våra främsta upptäckter är att makt och förtroende är dynamiska krafter som karaktäriserar en triadisk affärsrelation och makt kan ses som en resurs för samtliga aktörer i triaden.

The purpose of this essay is to further the understanding of contemporary management theory by conducting an analogy-study of the source to many of the terms today used in knowledge-intensive companies. The way a football club deals with knowledge work differs from how a conventional company deals with it. However, many of the terms, such as teamwork and coaching, are shared by the two types of organization. By using the analogy-method we hope to create a wider understanding for the shared concepts. We have used a hermeneutic perspective throughout the essay, which first and foremost means that we focus on understanding and explaining social phenomenons.

The ?good girl? is today an accepted and widespread notion. It is delimited to young girls and women who are characterised to be, for example, ambitious, high performing, working too much and risks developing mental illnesses. In today?s society women are assumed to pursue their career alongside maintaining the main responsibility for the household and family.

AbstractThe purpose of the present study was to clarify and describe what image men and women present and communicate in their profiles on an online dating site. Further has been investigated if traditional gender roles and stereotypes are as pronounced on this online platform or if it offers a space to go beyond traditional formations. The theoretical framework of this study consisted of a social psychological idea and understanding of identity as well as a gender theoretical perspective. The methodological points of departure were hermeneutic and the data consisted of ten male and ten female member profiles on match.com. The results of the study was divided into three themes, the emphasis on positive qualities, the attractive body and project manager to one?s own life.

In schools today, we expect student performances and achievements to be exceptional. Having good reading and writing skills are essential if students want to excel at their school assignments. Students with reading and writing difficulties have to work much harder than their other classmates. Their having to work harder coupled with being teenagers and facing all the uncertainties which are present at that age, these students face the difficult task of trying to find out who they are and who they want to be. In other words, they try to create their own individual identities.

Acute myocardial infarction is a serious diagnosis. Both the patient and the loved ones experience an immediate uncertainty. To be able to emotionally support the patient´s spouse, the nurse in the coronary care unit must be prepared to also encounter the world of the spouse. The aim of this study was from a nursing perspective to illuminate how life was experienced during the first two months by the spouse of someone, who was stricken by a first time acute myocardial infarction. Interviews with six spouses were conducted.
