The aim of the study was to investigate the performance of postlingually deaf adults on parts of the swedish dysarthria test Dysartribedömningen, and to compare these results with a matched group consisting of normal hearing speakers without any known speech disorder. The group consisted of 17 participants ranging between 42-86 years of age. Participants were assessed focusing on articulation, prosody, intelligibility and through a self-assessment of communicative participation. There was a statistically significant difference between groups on prosody that manifested primarily as a slower speaking rate in the cochlear implant users. No significant differences between groups as to articulation, intelligibility or communicative participation could be found.

Accessibility is today a topic of high current interest. It is a requirement for equality and a democracy question. By the year 2010, easy measured hindrances in all of Sweden's municipalities should be cleared away; this is stated in Swedish law. The physical accessibility to our public places is particularly important for functionally disabled people since it affects their possibilities to be outdoors and also their participation in society. When designing these places, it is difficult to find solutions that fit everybody, especially since good accessibility not only should fulfill all physical requirements of accessibility but also values of experience.

Lindrig kognitiv störning (eng. Mild Cognitive Impairment, MCI) betecknar ett tillstånd av försämrad kognitiv funktion, som inte uppfyller kriterierna för demens. MCI tycks innebära en ökad risk att utveckla Alzheimer och andra demenssjukdomar. Syftet med studien var att förutsättningslöst undersöka antal och typer av subgrupper till MCI som bäst överensstämmer med kognitiva testresultat samt att undersöka utvecklingsförlopp för subgrupperna. En klusteranalys utfördes med testresultat från 287 MCI patienter som utretts på Huddinge sjukhus.

Uppsatsens övergripande syfte var att undersöka profiler av samsjuklighet mellan depressiva symtom och olika undergrupper av social ångest hos unga vuxna (20-24 år) samt dess samband med livstillfredsställelse och upplevd social funktionsnedsättning inom yrkesliv/studier respektive sociala aktiviteter. Data har inhämtats via självskattningsformulär. Resultaten analyserades genom en klusteranalys. Två profiler med samsjuklighet mellan undergrupper av social ångest och depressiva symtom framkom. Denna samsjuklighet verkar vara relaterad till både en lägre grad av upplevd livstillfredsställelse samt till funktionsnedsättning inom två domäner, yrkesliv/studier och sociala aktiviteter..

Sound surrounds us in a great extent, we all have experiences of sound and this phenomena has a great meaning in our lives. High levels of sound might be harmful for your hearing and might also cause related difficulties such as tinnitus and sensitivity to sound. Studies reveal a connection between the attitudes toward high levels of sound and the risk behaviours in these situations. The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences and meaning of sound and whether the attitudes toward sound will reflect in a family consisting parents and adolescents. A family consisting two parents and two adolescents participated each and one of them in an interview in this qualitative study that has been carried out of a phenomenological approach.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka lärarstudenters matematiklärarutveckling under VFU. Studenternas egen uppfattning om vilka faktorer som är avgörande för deras utveckling står i fokus. Metoden för studien är kvalitativa intervjuer. Sådana genomfördes med 4 lärarstudentgrupper. Den teoretiska delen av studien lyfter fram lärares socialisation in i yrket och lärares kunskap.

Today most studies regarding marketing are made on traditional marketing channels, answering questions like which jingle is best or which TV-channel a company should focus their marketing budget on. There is also the science regarding the best way of marketing on Social Networking sites or how to get as many 'likes' as possible, and so forth. However research has also been made in the field of in-store marketing and how a retailers or brand owners can affect customers in "the moment of truth". Until now most of these studies discuss how to get the attention of the customer in the store since both time as well as level of commitment in general is scarce when a customer is in a grocery store doing the necessary weekly- or complementary-shopping. It seems like most of them make the very same conclusion; catching the attention of a customer is vital to sell them your product.

The aim of this issue is to study how Swedish public libraries deal with the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of information in connection with public use of the Internet. The authors intention has been to find out whether the public use of the Internet has caused ethical problems for library workers and how the libraries solve situations when they consider their principles violated by library users. The authors study the debate on the issue in a couple of Swedish library magazines published during the late 1990s and they also give a few examples from the USA during the same period. They study the ethical principles and directives for schools published by the Swedish Board of Education as they claim that many of the public library users are students who bring along their ethical conceptions and thereby affect the ethical climate of the libraries. In their study the authors refer to ethical rules given to librarians by their trade union DIK and to the conclusions drawn from the hearing Good Ethics on the Net held by the Swedish IT Commission in 1998.

To find useful methods of reading instructions for pupils with Cerebral palsy is a complex but at the same time very challenging work. The main focus of this research lies in studying the pupils work focusing on special adaptation of educational materials and means of assistance for pupils with Cerebral palsy. In trying to get a complete picture of the work with the reading instruction I don?t think that it can be described only by studying the work, it also demands an inside look at the job the working group performs. My overarching purpose of this research is to try out measures to further develop the work with reading instruction for pupils with Cerebral palsy.

Andra teorier som belyses i studien är bland annat teorin om verkligt värde och beteende teorin inom bolag.Empiri:Studien är kvantitativ och består av data som insamlats från årsredovisningar av bolag noterade på Stockholmsbörsen.Slutsats:Datamaterialet kunde inte påvisa någon signifikans mellan nyckelpersonernas beteende och deras påverkan på goodwillnedskrivningar samt det redovisade värdet av goodwill..

The project was carried out with SwedSafe AB, engaged in hearing and manufacture of earplugs. Since the company is a world leader in the sale of these products, it is important that they keep a higher level of quality of these products.Production of earplugs is currently a automated manufacturing process that is divided into four conveyor belts and one of the conveyor belts is what will be affected in the project. The belt affected during this process is exposed to various elements such as filling, closing, fermentation and extraction of products. Because the belt gets dirty, degraded products and the work environment is affected. To increase the quality of products and improve the working environment requires an automatic cleaning process, which collects dirt from the belt.The aim of the project is to design a machine that prevents the belt from becoming dirty, preserve molds clean and improve the working environment without disrupting production.

IASB är ett internationellt redovisningsorgan som verkar för att harmonisera och utveckla redovisningsregler. EU:s olika organ har beslutat att alla börsnoterade bolag inom Europeiska Unionen ska följa IASB: s standards som antagits av Europeiska kommissionen i koncernens årsredovisning. För att en standard ska kunna antas av kommissionen krävs att den inte strider mot rättvisande bild och uppfyller kraven för begriplighet, relevans, tillförlitlighet och jämförbarhet. Från och med 1 januari 2005 har alla Svenska börsnoterade koncerner börjat följa dessa nya standarder med krav på ett jämförelseår vilket innebär stora förändringar i redovisningen i jämförelse med tidigare regler. De nya standarderna har fått beteckningen IAS/IFRS och ersätter Redovisningsrådets Rekommendationer.

Denna C-uppsats behandlar den immateriella tillgången goodwill på koncernnivå. International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) publicerade den 31 mars år 2004 ett förslag om nya redovisningen av goodwill, vilken EU beslutade skulle träda i kraft den 1 januari år 2005. Publiceringen avser att förbättra kvaliteten på den finansiella rapporteringen och att skapa mera internationella och enhetliga redovisningsregler. Syftet med uppsatsen är att redogöra för vad konsekvenserna blir för svenska börsnoterade företag vid införandet av IFRS år 2005. Vilka konsekvenser det får för redovisningen av goodwill och hur väl de nya reglerna harmoniserar med redan rådande redovisningsprinciper som rättvisande bild.

Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder (ANSD) is a collective term for a specific form of hearing loss within a heterogeneous population of patients with mutual audiological test-profile. Cochlear implantation in children with ANSD has been found to result in good outcomes. Previous research, however, has shown the existence of a subgroup of children with ANSD who do not benefit from cochlear implantation but instead are in need of alternative methods of communication. The aim of this literature review was to examine the possibilities to predict outcomes of cochlear implantation in children with ANSD by pre-, intra- or postoperative examinations/measurements and thereby evaluate in which cases cochlear implantation is an appropriate intervention within this group of patients. The material consisted of 10 scientific papers published between 2007-2014.
