Background: The Swedish population is aging [1] and malnutrition is a common problem among elderly people [2]. A method called food registration is used to monitor the patients? nutritional intake, with the purpose of reducing the risk of patients deteriorating in nutritional status during hospitalisation. However, the current method is not satisfactory and many food registration lists are incomplete. [3-6] Thus, patients do not receive a qualitative nutritional care since the assessment of the patients? nutritional status is based on incomplete documentation.Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is to increase the quality in the nutrition monitoring process in the geriatric units B72 and B74 at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden.

Over the last decade, the private insurance market has undergone a stable growth in turnover and growing demand for insurance products in all Member States of the European Union. Therefore, the creation of a single market in insurance will enable consumers to have access to wider choice of insurance products, and insurance companies to gain access to markets in various Member States and compete effectively. The EU legal framework for the insurance industry embraces the Treaty freedoms of services, establishment and capital, the EC Directives and the ECJ case-law. The present thesis identifies numerous factors that hinder the Community insurance market integration and offers possible remedies. The summary of the market obstacles is all-inclusive and reflects the responses to the questionnaires and the Commission surveys.

This study is made in cooperation with the insurance company, Skandia. Skandia is a part of Old Mutual group?s Nordic division and is one of Swedens largest insurance companies with a total of 1.9 million customers. The company offers traditional life assurance, unit-linked insurance, private Healthcare insurance and banking services. Insurance companies such as Skandia operate in a highly competitive environment.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka vilka faktorer som samvarierar med utnyttjandet av friskvård på arbetsplatsen för att på så sätt få en djupare förståelse för vad som kännetecknar individer som är fysiskt aktiva eller inaktiva. Frågeställningarna var: Vilka är de främsta motivationsfaktorerna till att vara fysiskt aktiv? a) bland dem som utnyttjar friskvård, b) bland dem som inte utnyttjar friskvård men är fysiskt aktiva. Vilka är det vanligaste hindren till att inte utnyttja friskvård i form av fysisk aktivitet? Vilka olika beteendemässiga och sociala faktorer samvarierar med utnyttjandet av friskvård?MetodUndersökningen var en tvärsnittsstudie som genomfördes med hjälp av en web-enkät som mestadels bestod av strukturerade svarsalternativ.

Läkemedelshanteringen är ett av sjuksköterskans ansvarsområden inom hälso- och sjukvården. Utifrån kunskap och lagar skall den bedrivas på ett patientsäkert sätt men trots det sker läkemedelshanteringsfel vilket innebär risker i patientsäkerheten.Syftet med studien var att beskriva faktorer som påverkar säkerheten i samband med sjuksköterskans läkemedelshantering. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie. Resultatet visade att vanliga läkemedelshanteringsfel är utebliven dos, fel administreringstid, fel dos, fel administreringssätt, fel läkemedel och läkemedel till fel patient. Faktorer som påverkar sjuksköterskans läkemedelshantering är felaktiga och dåligt skrivna läkemedelsordinationer, distraktion under läkemedelshanteringen, bristande rutiner samt införande av ny teknologi.

Projektet har bedrivits på GE Healthcares fabrik i Umeå där system för främst proteinrening/kromatografi tillverkas. Fabriken monterar en rad olika modeller tillverkningsmetoden är i första hand manuell montering. Syftet med examensarbetet är att kartlägga och optimera produktionsflöden i fabriken samt ta fram förslag på ny produktionslayout för hela fabriken samt en mer detaljerad layout för produktionsgruppen StandardÄKTA. Projektet har bedrivits enligt principen för Ranhagens (1995) projektspiral där samtliga faser arbetas igenom ett antal gånger men fokus flyttas för varje varv. Vidare har stort fokus legat på beskrivningen av nuläget, noggranna tidsstudier har utförts vilket både gav underlag för analyser såväl som skapade en större förståelse för arbetet och var den största utvecklingspotentialen finns.

The study was conducted in Jönköping County Chamber of fibrillation and is about change and improvement of process modeling technology. The process for treating patients with fibrillation is in the need to evolve and improve. In order to develop the care they needed a current state description which usually is made with the traditional process modeling tool.Many scientists and health professionals is in the opinion that this technology gives a too rigid image to describe the care processes. It also does not sufficiently take into account the human aspects. This reasoning suggests that the process modeling technology in Healthcare is in the need to develop multiple perspectives.

Andelen rökare minskar stadigt i Sverige, idag röker ca 15 procent av befolkningen. Resultaten från olika metoder för tobaksavvänjning är tämligen blygsamma, och ugefär nittio procent av de som slutar röka gör det på egen hand.

Den här studien undersöker hur 3D-visualisering underlättar arbetet med brukare i produktbestämningsskedet. Den fokuserar på hur 3D-visualisering kan förbättra kommunikationen mellan projektaktörer och vårdverksamhet. Undersökningen gjordes på Centralsjukhuset i Karlstad med Landstinget i Värmland som uppdragsgivare och ByggDialog AB som handledare. I detta projekt som är benämnt CSK 2013 användes byggnadsinformationsmodellering, BIM. Främst i form av en gemensam objektbaserade 3D-modell där alla tekniska discipliners ritningar ingår.Problemet som ligger till grund för studien är hur kommunikationen med verksamheten och deras förståelse för utformningen kan stärkas.

The employees? commitment is necessary to be able to reach set goals, to develop procedures and policies that support the overall political goals, in other words, to be successful in the environmental work.

Det är uppenbart för alla inom sjukvården i Gävle att de ligger på gränsen till vad de kan hantera. Landstingen bestämmer inte bara vad sjukvården skall producera, utan även vad det får kosta. Det går ibland inte ihop, vilket föder frustration och vanmakt hos berörda avdelningar och personal. Behovet av sjukvård kommer troligen att öka ytterligare i framtiden, och vi verkar ha kommit till vägens ände vad gäller nuvarande arbetssätt. Syfte och mål med detta examensarbete är att genomföra en förstudie till att implementera och arbeta med lean på Gävle sjukhus och ortopedavdelningen.

Veterinary hospital care and advanced veterinary services are rapidly growing industries. As of January 1, 2010, veterinary nursing became a licensed vocation, the title of veterinary nurse became protected, and the act regulating competence among the professions of the veterinary field was extended. These changes, along with increased demands and expectations from owners, have given rise to greater demands on the staff's qualifications and have increased the need for well-educated staff with expertise in several different areas. The aim of this study was to find out what the licensed veterinary nurse can do in terms of rehabilitation for the hospitalized equine patient suffering from orthopedic injury. This has been carried out through qualitative interviews with veterinary surgeons experienced in treating such patients, and also by reviewing the relevant literature.
