The western societies is characterized by a strong future concern and the members of the society are valued most of all according to their capability to produce. In our time the elder ness is representing a rapidly increasing number of relatively well kept elders. What sight of the future does the aging human have? Are one meditating of what kind of service and care one are going to need? The purpose with this study was to describe how individuals in ages between 60 and 96 sees, both the future and their coming need for care in relation to sex, age, social activities and experienced health. The material was taken from ?SNAC-Blekinge? witch is a part of a bigger national study; SNAC (The Swedish National study on Aging and Care).

How to work with parents of malnourished children: The experience of six Kenyan nurses

Background In Nyanza in western Kenya are 30,5% of children estimated as malnourished. It is a family situation that nurses often come in contact with. Therefore it is of interest to know how nurses work with parents of malnourished children when they have a significant role in developing the family's knowledge and child health. Aim. There is a lack of scientific research in the Nordiccountries when it comes to how the health- and medical care identify and care for thevictims of domestic violence. Background: Ill-health related to unhealthy lifestyle is increasing and despite existing knowledge about healthy lifestyle it is difficult to change behaviour. Counselling in the primary health care is often superficial and without critical elements for behaviour change. Aim: The aim of this paper to elucidate interventions for change of lifestyle with respect diet and physical activity. Method: A literature review was carried out and ten scientific articles were analyzed and compiled in two main categories: design of these interventions and participation in them. Results: Education, decision making, goal setting, feedback, social support and follow-up were identified as critical elements for behaviour change.

Tillsammans är vi starka! : en fallstudie om personalens upplevelser av en hälsointervention

BAKGRUND: Att arbeta med hälsofrämjande insatser är att effektivt sätt att minska ohälsosamma levnadsvanor hos individer med psykisk funktionsnedsättning. Personal som arbetar hälsofrämjande kan aktivt förebygga risker hos funktionsnedsatta och motivera dem till en förändrad livsstil.   SYFTE: Syftet med vår uppsats var att ta del av hur personal som arbetar med individer med psykisk funktionsnedsättning upplever en hälsointervention. Vi ville ta del av deras upplevelser och tankar kring utbildningar de gått och hur de sedan går tillväga för att motivera individerna till att leva ett hälsosammare liv, genom att stärka egenmakten hos individen för att uppnå resultat till en förändring av ohälsa. Vi vill också ta del av deras upplevelser av motiverande samtal som pedagogisk metod i arbetet och hur personalen använder sig av metoden för att motivera individerna på boendena och att hjälpa dem under förändringsprocessen. METOD: För att få reda på personalens upplevelser av hälsointerventionen genomfördes en fallstudie på två boenden, där deltagarna fått utbildning i motiverande samtal och tips på enkla aktiviteter som kan ha stor betydelse i de boendes/individernas vardag för att göra det enklare att välja mer hälsosamma alternativ.

Mamma, pappa, barn och personlig assistent : en undersökning om fyra föräldrars upplevelser av att leva med personlig assistans till sina barn

The purpose with this study was to investigate how parents experience their situation in life, having personal assistance at home to support their small children with disabilities. Different areas were investigated. What made them apply for personal assistance? How does the support affect the family and their parenthood? What would it mean if their children would not have personal assistance? The study was made using a qualitative method and the material was gathered through interviews. A combination of symbolic interactionism and system theory were used as theoretical perspectives.

Kunskapsdelning : individens upplevelser av barriärer för kunskapsdelning

Syftet är att undersöka individers upplevelser av barriärer mot kunskapsdelning inom organisationer som använder extern arbetskraft i jämförelse med organisationer som ej använder extern arbetskraft. I denna uppsats har en hermeneutisk ansats använts för att studera individers upplevelser av barriärer mot kunskapsdelning. Respondenterna som deltagit i studien var från fyra olika organisationer där två av organisationerna använde sig av extern arbetskraft medan två endast använde sig av ordinarie personal. Vi utförde både intervjuer och enkätundersökningar på organisationer med extern personal och organisationer med bara ordinarie personal. Resultatet från vår studie visar att de upplevda barriärerna mot kunskapsdelning i vissa lägen skiljer sig åt mellan ordinarie- och extern personal.

Patientens upplevelser av stöd från diabetesteamet

Bakgrund: I Sverige har cirka 3-4 % av den vuxna befolkningen diabetes, varav cirka 80 % lider av typ 2 diabetes eller så kallad åldersdiabetes. Det är välkänt att personer med typ 2 diabetes behöver stöd och utbildning för att klara av att leva med sin sjukdom. En av diabetesteamets uppgifter är därför att stödja dessa personer på bästa sätt. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur patienter med typ 2 diabetes upplever stödet från diabetesteamet.

Orala problem vid Parkinsons sjukdom

Parkinson's disease is a progressive degenerative neurological disorder. In Sweden there are 15 000-20 000 individuals affected by the disease.The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of oral diseases in individuals with Parkinson's disease. The material for the literature review was gathered in the medical database PubMed. Keywords used for the data research were ?Parkinson?s disease?, ?oral diseases?, ?dry mouth?, ?gingivitis?, ?caries? and ?periodontitis?.
