Bakgrund: Prostatacancer är den vanligaste cancerformen bland män i Sverige. Det finns flera olika behandlingar för sjukdomen varav radikal prostatektomi är den vanligaste. Både sjukdomen och behandlingen medför att männens liv förändras mer eller mindre. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur männens liv förändrades efter radikal prostatektomi. Metod: En systematisk litteraturstudie av kvalitativa artiklar utfördes.

Både sjukdomen och behandling medför så väl fysiska som psykiska förändringar hos kvinnor. Syfte: Var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser av sin livsvärld efter en mastektomi. Metod: En litteraturstudie av kvalitativa studier har utförts.

Colours have been proven to have both a great physical and psychological impact on human beings. This essay investigates the rebranding of 37 Health Care Centers, located in Norrbotten, Sweden, and how 10 interviewees have experienced the new choice of colour on the logotypes of these Health Care Centers.The theoretical framework used in this research process, consists of theories related to rebranding, the communication process, encoding/decoding and Goethe?s Theory of Colours.To gather information about how the 10 inhabitants have experienced the new choice of colour, a semistructured form of interview was used. In addition to these interviews, three people employed by Norrbotten County Council (NLL) were interviewed, to get to know more about the rebranding process and the message behind the chosen colours of the logotype.Results show that the inhabitants had an overall positive reaction to the new colour choices, but that younger target groups lacked information about the new logotype and the rebranding.Due to these results, recommendations were made that NLL should expand the quantity of media channels to reach these younger target groups, and thereby be able to attract more patients to their Health Care Centers. NLL would also profit from investigating the inhabitants experiences related to the new colour choices themselves, but in a larger scale, to achieve greater knowledge of how to proceed with colour choices in the future..

Bakgrund: Anorexia nervosa är en störning som kännetecknas som avsiktlig viktnedgång, framkallad och vidmakthållen av patienten själv. Dessa patienter saknar sjukdomsinsikt vilket förvärrar relationen mellan dem och vårdpersonalen. Sjukdomen har tre olika faser i utvecklingen och drabbar främst flickor i åldrarna 12-20 år. Syftet: Syftet med studien var att belysa hur kvinnor med anorexia nervosa upplever mötet med vårdpersonalen. Metod: En litteraturstudie som baserades på tre självbiografiska böcker utfördes.

När en familjemedlem drabbas av Alzheimers sjukdom förändras hela livssituationen för de närstående. För att kunna ge en individanpassad omvårdnad med god kvalitet för personer med Alzheimers sjukdom krävs en bra samverkan mellan sjuksköterskan och de närstående. Genom att få en ökad förståelse och kunskap om de närståendes upplevelser har sjuksköterskan möjlighet att möta de närståendes behov och stödja dem i vårdarrollen. Syftet med studien är att belysa upplevelsen av att vårda en person med Alzheimers sjukdom i hemmet. Metoden utgår från Lundman och Graneheims kvalitativa innehållsanalys där tre självbiografier granskas och analyseras.

Leukemi är den vanligaste cancerformen hos barn i Sverige. Barnet är föräldrarnas stolthet och när ett barn insjuknar i leukemi blir föräldrarnas sårbarhet stor. Syftet med studien var att belysa upplevelser hos föräldrar till barn med leukemi under barnets sjukdomstid. Studien baserades på tre självbiografiska böcker skrivna av föräldrar till barn som hade eller hade haft leukemi. Studien var kvalitativ och innehållsanalysen inspirerades av Graneheim och Lundman.

Objective: From the patient?s perspective describe communication difficulties, which can arise, and how they are handled in their contact with public health care and illustrate their needs of communication.Method: A study of literature was carried out to receive a background and an insight in previous research concerning the subject area. Twelve women with hearing loss was asked to complete a questionnaire, with open questions, regarding communication difficulties in health care situations.Sample: For the literature review, scientific papers were selected via the database, PubMed using relevant keywords. Seven were selected for closer review. For the survey study twelve women were asked to participate which ten of those responded.Results: The study of literature shows that communication difficulties occur in public health care between patients with hearing loss and the nursing staff.

Today?s society has become a society of information were communication has become more important to manage, both for companies and for the person as an individual. The administration of health and care in Karlstad had already planned and performed an information campaign, ?Vård & omsorg ? Mer än ett jobb? (translation ?Health & care ? More than a job?), and therefore we got the assignment to investigate the rate of success.The investigation is based on both theory and empiric.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att belysa omvårdnaden för familjer till barn med hjärtfel ur ett familjeperspektiv. Vården av hjärtsjuka barn och ungdomar kräver en kunskap om dessa sjukdomar inte enbart hos sjukvårdspersonal inom den högspecialiserade barnkardiologin utan inom ett flertal andra specialiteter. Studien omfattar sjuksköterskans omvårdnad av familjer, förberedelser för hemgång, samarbetet mellan olika yrkeskategorier, familjens reaktioner vid denna krissituation och de bearbetningsmodeller som finns till förfogande för att underlätta bearbetningsprocessen. Vidare forskning inom detta område är nödvändig. The purpose of this study is to illuminate the care of families to children with heartdisease from a familyperspective.

AimThe aim of this study has been to examine how health enhancement teachers in Montana, USA, view the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.In what way does the health enhancement teacher think the importance of physical activity from a lifelong perspective could be presented?What resources are available for teachers to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective?MethodThe issue has been answered through qualitative interviews consisting of six health enhancement teachers, four women and two men, in Montana, USA. One of the teachers worked at an elementary school (for 30 years), three teachers worked at middle schools (20, 10 and 8 years of work experience) and two of the teachers interviewed worked at a high school (30 and 3 years).  ResultsThe majority of teachers feel that a wide variety of activities, adapted to an individual level, and the understanding of a healthy lifestyle are important in order for the teacher to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.The teachers felt they had sufficient material in order to present the value of physical activity, where the school budget provided the teachers with materials every year. In addition to the budget, all the teachers had 12 hours of professional development every year where they could attend conferences or their own choice of professional development.ConclusionWith the help in forms of professional development offered by the school, conferences, meeting with other teachers, and their own choice of development, the teachers instruction techniques could increase which could help the teachers to find the pupils? interest for different kinds of physical activities.KeywordsPhysical education and health, physical activity, SOC, sense of coherence..

Domestic violence is a serious public health issue that concerns everyone. Public health service is one of many authorities where battered women seek help. The purpose of this literature review was to describe which factors affect the encounter between battered women and nurses in public health departments. The method consisted of analysing 11 scientific articles. The result is presented in themes that show the different attitudes in the encounter between nurses and battered women.

Good physical, psychological and social health is pursued both at work and at home. There is no current research into the health of ski instructors despite the physically demanding nature of skiing and high injury rate. The purpose of this study is to map out ski instructors physical and psychological health and see if there are common injuries amongst them. This study is a descriptive and correlating study including a survey of ten questions with self reported data from the instructors. Five ski schools from Sweden participated in the study and 86 surveys got sent out to the ski school directors.The result from this study shows that ski instructor´s physical, physiological, well being at work, stress level and self efficacy is good.

Bakgrund: Den psykiska ohälsan i Sverige har ökat bland ungdomar sedan 1990-talet och cirka en procent av kvinnorna mellan 12-25 år lider av anorexia nervosa. Sjukdomen karakteriseras av en förvrängd kroppsuppfattning samt en sjuklig strävan att gå ned i vikt. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa två kvinnors beskrivning av sjukdomen anorexia nervosa. Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på två självbiografiska böcker som analyserats med innehållsanalys för kvalitativa studier. Resultat: I resultatet framkom att kvinnorna hade en skev kroppsuppfattning och att deras ångest ökade i samband med måltider och för lite motion.

Sverige går idag mot en mer patientfokuserad vård. Personal Health Records (PHR) är en tjänst som möjliggör för patienten att samla och distribuera sin egen medicinska journal. Trots de patientfokuserade egenskaperna som PHR besitter är vetskapen om PHR liten i Sverige.Med syfte att undersöka PHR har vi utfört en studie som visar om PHR har en potential i Sverige. Nitton intervjuer utfördes varav sjutton stycken med diabetespatienter, en intervju med en representant för läkemedelsindustrin samt en intervju med en representant för sjukvården. Dessutom utfördes en patientenkät med diabetiker.Studien visade att PHR har en potential i Sverige, framförallt bland den viktigaste intressentgruppen patienterna fanns ett visst behov och upplevdes nyttan som stor.

The aim of the study was to describe the oral health development among patients at the Public Dental Care clinic in Bromölla who made an agreement regarding Healthy Dental Care during the years 2001 and 2004, compared with patients who did not made such an agreement. The study material was obtained from dental journals in total at 150 patients. Data regarding age, sex, health status, tobacco use, plaque- and gingivitis values, pocket depht, initial- and manifest caries, risk assessments, preventive measures by dental personel and acute dental care between year 2001 and 2004 was obtained from dental results. Almost twice as many man made an agreement compared to women. Tobacco use was higher in control group both 2001 and 2004.
