Background: The lack of knowledge regarding preschool children's mental health prompted Uppsala University, in collaboration with Uppsala Kommun, to start a study in which children aged 3, 4, and 5 years are screened using the "Strength and Difficulties Questionnaire" (SDQ). This screening method has been introduced into the majority of Uppsala County child care centers (BVC), and the nurses' experience of working with this method is examined in this paper.Method: A qualitative approach with semi-structured questions was used to interview ten nurses who pioneered the SDQ Method. The interviews where recorded, transcribed and analyzed using content analysis.Results: Three themes and nine categories were identified from the interviews. The themes were: "Attitude and motivation are important when working with the form", "Clearer overall picture with preschool answer", and "A tool to identify difficulties". The results show that the nurses were satisfied with the form.

Compulsive gambling has lately become a more common and serious issue in our society. The number of compulsive gamblers is constantly increasing alongside the growth of the gambling industry and the consequences of compulsive gambling include both economical and social disasters. Every addiction has a start, and so does compulsive gambling, which is why we chose to perform a survey in order to determine the possible causes to why individuals are drawn to gambling and what leads them into compulsive gambling, and also during which circumstances do they find the strength and will to come out of their addiction to gambling. The theories that are used in this paper include globalization, socialization, Bauman´s consumption society and empowerment, alongside the six phases of gambling by Custer and Milts, describing the way in and the way out of compulsive gambling. This survey is one of the qualitative kind, which means that the chosen theories are connected to the ten interviews that were done with gamblers of various kinds.

Bakground: Puerperal fever caused by group A Streptococcus is in a global context seen as a common cause of death in childbirth.Aim: To examine the consequences of group A streptococcus infections in women postpartum and to see what a nurse can do to stop the infection with adequate nursing interventions.Method: This is a review built on 15 articles. These articles were read in full and audited with a suitable template.Result: Women postpartum has 20 times higher risk to get group A stretococcus infection as compared to non pregnant. The consequences of Group A Streptococcus infection can lead to high fever, abscesses around the uterus, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), hysterectomy and death. Patients who share room with infected patients carries an increased risk to be infected. Curtains between patient beds can be colonized by Group A Streptococcus.

Det här projektet handlar om mitt försök att skapa en motorcykelhjälm för framtiden. Projeketetutgick ifrån en idé om att ta in tekniska lösningar och förhöjda säkerhetsaspekter i ett ochsamma koncept. Projektet är i första hand ett designarbete, vilket innebär mer fokus på research,skiss och formarbete.Projektet består av några större delar där arbetet delats upp. Bland annat research i början ochsenare skissprocess. Test is an area in system development. Test can be performed manually or automated. Test activities can be supported by Word documents and Excel sheets for documenting and executing test cases and as well for follow up, but there are also new test tools designed to support and facilitate the testing process and the activities of the test. This study has described manual test and identified strengths and weaknesses of manual testing with a testing tool called Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and of manual testing using test cases and test log templates developed by the testers at Sogeti. The result that emerged from the problem and strength analysis and the analysis of literature studies and firsthand experiences (in terms of creating, documenting and executing test cases) addresses the issue of the following weaknesses and strengths.

The paper's purpose has evolved during the process of researching and writing it. In the beginning it was to investigate if art and culture could increase the strength and knowledge of a brand and if there existed a knowledge about this amongst Swedish companies, situated in Stockholm. During the process the purpose has evolved into exploring the type of companies that acknowledge this and those that don't. By using Bourdieu's terminology and tools, the reasons behind the use of art has been analyzed.The paper employs an explorative approach by accessing data through interviews and public data provided by the Internet through web pages and government files.The paper comes to the conclusion that what Holt calls cultural branding has not evolved, when looking at the companies that are accurate for this study. Out of 24 companies only one comes close to observing socio cultural movements through the arts.

The purpose of this Master Thesis is to compare two American novel suites for young women, Louisa May Alcott?s Little Women and Good Wives to Ann Brashares series of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The social status of women and children in the US during the 19th century is analyzed and compared historically and literary with the situation 130 years later.The main question is, what differences exist in the books and is there a connection between the changes in society and literature?The method of this Master Thesis is to make a comparative narratological analysis placed in a historical context.The result shows that the multiple character remains and enhances the identification process. Motherhood in the works of Alcott is prominent, whereas in the works of Brashares, sisterhood replaces motherhood.In Alcott?s US during the 19th century, Christian faith was in the foreground.

The aim of this essay is to study how the University Church is represented in student newspapers. By conducting an inductive thematic analysis on sixteen articles chosen from newspapers distributed by the student union at three Swedish universities, the main purpose of the study is to further understand the role and function of the University Church in a contemporary Swedish context. Three themes emerging from the initial step of the thematic analysis were chosen for further analysis: (1) a secularized church?, (2) provocation and (3) reasons to seek out the University Church. The themes were then highlighted by two theoretical perspectives: Mark Chaves? theory of internal secularization and a theoretical framework developed by Anders Bäckström with the aim to explain the role of the church as a welfare agent in Sweden.The study shows that the University Church is portrayed as both an ambiguous and complex organization.

Bokföringsnämnden beslutade år 2004 om samlade regelverk som tillsammans med reglernaför noterade företag kommer att avse fyra olika kategorier av företag, K1-K4. I gruppen K1inkluderas små enskilda näringsidkare och små handelsbolag som ägs av fysiska personer.Företag i gruppen K1 kan välja att antingen använda sig av kontant- eller faktureringsmetodenvid sin redovisning. Kontantmetoden innebär att företaget endast bokför in- och utbetalningar.Faktureringsmetoden innebär att företaget bokför när de skickat en faktura och när de tagitemot en faktura. Det bokförs även när betalningen sker.Ett K1-företag med en nettoomsättning på mindre än tre miljoner kr får göra ett såkallatförenklat årsbokslut som ska bestå av en resultaträkning och en balansräkning. Exempel pånya regler som finns är de angående redovisning av anläggnings- och omsättningstillgångar,avsättningar samt upplupna intäkter och kostnader.De flesta intervjuade företag anser att de förenklade redovisningsreglerna är bristfälliga ochvisar inte den information som faktureringsmetoden gör och som företaget behöver för attöverblicka sin ekonomiska ställning.

Detta projekt har utförts på Institutionen för maskinkonstruktion på Kungliga tekniska högskolan (KTH) som en fortsättning på tidigare examensarbeten där en solugn samt en energieffektiv grill har utvecklats. Målet var att undersöka möjligheterna att lansera dessa produkter i Namibia. Ett viktigt syfte med projektet var att skapa arbetstillfällen för lokalbor i norra Namibia.Som en del av forskningen inom detta projekt utfördes två månaders fältstudier i Namibia. Dessa fältstudier finansierades av MFS (SIDA), Fonden för exportutveckling, PIEp och e-man. Namibia ligger i södra Afrika.

Under 2000-talets första årtionde genomgick Försvarsmakten betydande förändringar och för att stärka organisationen i den processen har Försvarsmaktens värdegrund tagits fram. Framtagningen genomfördes tills stor del av konsultföretaget Bikupan genom omfattande intervju- och enkätmaterial med både Försvarsmaktspersonal och civilbefolkning som undersökningsgrupper.Nu, när Försvarsmaktens värdegrund borde kunna betraktas som implementerad är det aktuellt att undersöka hur värdegrunden tillämpas. I det här fallet riktas luppen mot första linjens chefer, plutoncheferna och därmed de officerare som i första hand praktiserar ledarskap och värderingar gentemot Försvarsmaktens soldater.Källmaterialet utgörs av intervjuer med plutonchefer vid Livbataljon, Livgardet. Materialet har analyserats utifrån teorier om professionalisering och new public management. Officerskårens anspråk på att utgöra en profession förutsätter en väl grundad yrkesetik såväl som högt förtroende för den professionella yrkesutövaren.

Allt eftersom målet om ett hållbart ekologiskt samhälle vävts in i den svenska lagstiftningen har rättigheten att bruka jordens naturresurser också inneburit en ökad skyldighet att bevara och avhjälpa de skador som uppstått på grund av människans exploatering. Möjligheten att kunna ställa den ansvarige förorenaren till svars ökar tack vare en strängare samt tydligare lagstiftning och eftersom att avhjälpandeprojekt ofta är mycket kostsamma och tidskrävandegynnas samhället av att sträva efter en sådan lagstiftning. I uppsatsen utreds hur långt detta ansvar för avhjälpande av förorenade områden sträcker sig samt vad som händer med de områden där ingen ansvarig finns att rikta föreläggande mot. I enlighet med principen om att förorenaren betalar är det i första hand den ansvarige verksamhetsutövaren eller i andra hand fastighetsägaren som står för kostnaden men i praktiken är läget mer komplicerat, vilket vi kommer lägga fokus på i denna uppsats. De faktiska problem som kan uppstå efter gruvverksamhet handlar inte bara om ansvaret utan även om de åtgärder för avhjälpande som blir aktuella.

Detta är en studie som undersöker vad som är viktigt för ett framgångsrikt möte när hunden används som ett hjälpmedel i vården eller andra behandlande situationer.Studien är en fallstudie som intervjuat personal på ett äldreboende angående deras upplevelse av hundens närvaro och vad som är viktigt för ett framgångsrikt möte mellan hund och brukare. Resultatet visar att personlighet i första hand är av betydelse för att uppnå positiva effekter med hundens närvaro..
