This thesis presents the implementation of a knowledge base system for rough sets [Paw92]within the logic programming framework. The combination of rough set theory with logic programming is a novel approach. The presented implementation serves as a prototype system for the ideas presented in [VDM03a, VDM03b]. Som en effekt av att Video On Demand (VOD) är på stark tillväxt vill June, som en leverantör av mjukvara för TV-branschen, förvärva kunskaper och utvärdera Windows 8 applikationer som plattform för en VOD-tjänst. June har sedan tidigare en webblösning för VOD och vill nu även jämföra och utvärdera bland annat kunskapskrav, tidsåtgång samt fördelar och nackdelar med en Windows 8 applikation ställt mot denna webblösning.Målen med examensarbetet kan delas in i tre delar; en där komplexitet och arbetsinsats vid Windows 8 applikationsutveckling utvärderas, en där verktygen som krävs för att utveckla en VOD-applikation utvärderas och sist att implementera en Windows 8 applikation för VOD.En Windows 8 applikation utvecklades och valda lösningsmetoder dokumenterades. Dokumentation och kunskap som förvärvats under utvecklingsfasen stod sedan som grund för de analyserande och utvärderande målen. Resultatet är en Windows 8 applikation som uppfyller de mål som satts upp för programmeringsdelen samt en analys och utvärdering som svarar mot målen för analysdelen. Ämnen som är centrala genom rapporten är Microsoft, WinRT, VOD, Smooth Streaming, PlayReady, Windows 8 applikationsutveckling samt data caching och utveckling av användargränsnitt i Windows 8..

This report describes the development of a RESTful web service for mobile applications. The web service makes resources from an existing system called kompetensdatabasen ("the competence database") available. Kompetensdatabasen holds information about the capabilities of consultants and about assignments carried out at the IT consultant business Nethouse AB.The web service was developed according to the principles of REST and ROA (Resource Oriented Architecture) which puts focus on making resources available. The resources are made available through the HTTP protocol and the methods associated with it. This means it was designed to use the same technologies as the world wide web.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt är att besvara frågeställningen, hur vanligt förekommande är gingival retraktion vid ortodontisk behandling? Nollhypotesen var, gingival retraktion har inget samband med ortodontisk behandling. Sökning gjordes på en databas (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/) för vetenskapliga artiklar inom medicin. Denna systematiska översikt gjordes av en observatör, för att minska risken av en godtycklig och ostrukturerad bedömning av studier, användes riktlinjer från SBU ( Statens beredning för medicinsk utvärdering, Sverige). Av 186 artiklar valdes 16 ut för att delta i granskning. Ur resultatet från de tre studierna med bäst omdöme kom två fram till ett negativt samband mellan utförd behandling och retraktion av gingiva.

Denna uppsats behandlar frågan om hur positivt autokorrelerade störningstermer påverkar signifikansnivån för Jarque-Beras normalitetstest för regressionsresidualer. Därvid genomförs omfattande Monte Carlo-simuleringar med olika ?-, ?-, ?-, X- och n-värden. De faktiskt observerade signifikansnivåerna från dessa simuleringar jämförs sedan med de teoretiska signifikansnivåerna från Jarque-Beras normalitetstest för observationer, för att se vilken påverkan autokorrelationen har. Även inverkan på de asymptotiskt kritiska -värdena behandlas.

Användare av webbaserade inloggningssystem hotas av sessionskapningsangrepp, där angripare kan ta över andras konton, oavsett hur stark autentiseringsmekanismen är. HTTP-protokollets tillståndslösa natur tvingar klienter att skicka ett sessions-ID, oftast genom kakor, för att låta servern autentisera varje meddelande efter inloggningen; en angripare behöver endast få tag på detta ID för att fullfölja angreppet. Detta arbete har, utifrån en omfattande litteraturstudie och med ASP.NET Forms Authentication som exempel, visat hur diverse svagheter kan låta angripare få tag på sessions-ID:t på olika sätt ? även om HTTPS används för att kryptera kommunikationen. Arbetet har dessutom sammanställt en uppsättning riktlinjer som webbutvecklare kan använda för att försvara sina webbsajter mot dessa angrepp, bland annat genom att sätta HttpOnly-flaggan för sina kakor för att försvåra avläsning på klientdatorn, samt att eventuellt förknippa inloggningssessionen med användarens IP-adress.

This thesis takes its starting point in the humanistic cultural-geographical concept of place, with the aim of achieving a greater understanding of what constitutes the place Mon today. Mon is located in the northwestern part of Dalsland. Until 1879, the area was described as outlying land, but with the extension of the railway between V?nern and the Norwegian border, Mon's station community emerged. In the mid-20th century, all activities in Mon were phased out, and since then, the place has been inhabited by only about 10 year-round residents.

Event marketing's ability to create strong communication effects is a well-known fact and a contributing factor to its popularity in the world of marketing today. But while we know that it is the interaction between consumers and the brand within the scope of live marketing that gives rise to loyalty and purchase intention, we have no knowledge in how the company's efforts affect the outcome. As the investments in event marketing are growing at a comparatively high pace, it is urgent to obtain a deeper understanding and a sense of direction of the elements infuencing its success.In this study we investigate in what way and to what extent the amount of effort that a company puts into the making of an event is used as a signal of manufactor credibility, ability (i.e., expertise) and consumer care. And in what way and to what extent the perceived effort influence purchase intent, attitude and word-of-mouth. We also analyze marketing events in terms of the theory of equitable exchange and "desperation", a subject matter thus far only touched upon.As we identify two different types of events on the market today, we include both in our study: the in-store promotion related event and the party event, which is held in an external venue.

Som mitt examensarbete har jag utvecklat en produkt kallad företagspresentationer på http://www.metrojobb.se/ en svensk hemsida för jobbrekrytering, ägd av MetroNordicSwedenAB. En företagspresentation är en plats där företag kan presentera sig och sina jobbannonser för framtida arbetstagare. Målsättningen med examensarbetet har varit att produkten ska sättas i skarpt läge när de är färdigutvecklad.Examensarbetet var planerat till tio veckor,varav sammanlagt fyra veckor skulle ägnas åtr apportskrivning och resterande veckor åt utveckling.Utvecklingstiden har använts till studier av de befintliga webbapplikationen samt produktutveckling i samråd med Metros produktutvecklare.Utvecklingsarbetet har inkluderat utveckling inom alla lager även modern webbapplikation ?från en ytlig utveckling, medHTML, JavaScript och CSS, till en djupare,med sökmotorindexering och relationsdatabasdesign.Arbetet har fortskridit enligt plan och har resulterat i en färdig produkt som motsvarar Metros kravspecifikationer. För framtiden finns det en mängd möjligheter för produkten.

 AbstractThis study is performed by studying seven livestock businesses in the agricultural sector. The focus of the essay has been put on the structures that limit and enable the lives of the farmers in this study. One of these major structures that affect everyday life is the gender structure and to this day the housewife role exists where the women are responsible for the home, family and domestic pets while the men are responsible for the production, machinery and the heavier tasks on the farm. This is grounded in the history and the development that agriculture has gone through, but also in the strong patriarchal power structure that exists in this industry. In this essay I also show how the life form analysis of Liselotte Jakobsen and the independent life form can not be fully applied to the farmer as he is not completely independent in his work.

We have gone from a city development characterized by spontaneousness, where commerce and people side by side shared the space, into a function-based planning where people and functions are being increasingly separated. Regardless the forms of planning the city design causes implications for those who live there when the physical environment controls were we live, work and meet. In today's society where `sustainability ' has become a watchword the current community planning needs to be questioned so we, in the best possible way, can meet future changes. Searching for new planning strategies is part of this and in this essay the term `mixed-use´ will be investigated and analyzed in terms of its social aspects.

Vår projektredogörelse handlar om utarbetandet av ett material för läs- och skrivinlärning. Vi har ställt oss frågan; Hur skapar man ett undervisningsmaterial för läs och skrivinlärning som med hjälp av det vidgade textbegreppet kan fånga eleverna och fasthålla intresset/motivationen att lära? Vi kom snabbt fram till att materialet, om det ska ha dessa kvalitéer måste utgå från elever. Vi har därför pratat med en grupp om tio elever för att få veta mer om deras fritidsintressen. Dessa har vi sedan vävt in i vårt material som vi döpt till Cirkusäventyret. Materialet består av tre övergripande rubriker som är drama, musik och bild, dessa resulterade sedan i ett väggalfabet, bok med tillhörande dramakort, sång och sandpapperbokstäver.

Svensk Juristpartner HB bedriver sedan våren 2006 juridisk rådgivning via sin webbplats. Där kan allmänheten ställa frågor om juridik och få dem besvarade av ett antal juriststudenter. Alla frågor publiceras sedan anonymt på webbplatsen så att fler personer än frågeställaren kan ta del av informationen. Då mängden inkomna frågor ökat markant, har behovet av en mer avancerad webbplats växt fram.Uppgiften har varit att skapa en ny webbplats åt Juristpartner. Genom att införa kopplingar till en databas har hanteringen av frågor och svar förbättrats.
