Denna rapport beskriver utvecklingen av en webbapplikation för visualisering av rankingdata över tid åt SESNordic AB i Vilhelmina. Applikationen är skriven i PHP och läser in data från antingen en Excel- eller CSV-fil. Vissa beräkningar görs på indatat och resultatet visas sedan i grafer. Den färdiga resultatrapporten kan sedan skickas till kunden som inbäddad HTML eller exporteras till en PDF-fil.Nuvarande programvaran som SESNordic använder vid sina analyser av ranking, Web CEO, har en bristfällig funktionalitet när det gäller grafvisualisering. Dess rankingdata visas i tabellform med en lista på sökorden och dess nuvarande rank.

This essay investigates the integration of the school library into teaching in one of Sweden?s senior high schools and the effects of the new education act which gives school libraries a stronger standing. A second purpose is to investigate teachers? views on professional responsibility with regard to the development of information literacy. Through an email survey different aspects of library integration are investigated.

Följande arbete är en designstudie som har, utifrån information som tagits fram från litteratur, tidigare undersökningar, intervjuer och personas, utvecklat ett designförslag för en online rådgivningstjänst, som är anpassad efter de olika användarrollerna, frågeställare och rådgivare, utefter den kunskap som användarna har kring ämnet men också av att använda webbtjänsten. Syftet med studien var att ta reda på hur gränssnitten kan utformas för att uppfylla de mål som respektive användarroll har med att använda tjänsten. Designförslaget har tagits fram som en del av ett större projekt där cancerpatienter har möjlighet att låna hem en iPad som ska fungera som en tillgång till information och vara ett kommunikationsmedel, framförallt vid den vänteperiod som inträffar efter patienten har fått besked om behandling, fram tills behandlingen börjar, då det inte förekommer några regelbundna läkarbesök. Den del som arbetet har involverats i handlar framförallt om en webbtjänst där cancerpatienter möjlighet till att titta på färdiginspelade informationsfilmer som förklarar hur behandlingen går till, och därefter kunna samtala med en sjuksköterska om det har dykt upp några eventuella frågor. Användarna har möjlighet, som kommunikationsmedel, att använda ett videoverktyg som har varit i centrum av designen eftersom det kan användas för att underlätta kommunikationen mellan användarna, där videoinformationen, som bifogas från de befintliga videoklippen, kan förtydliga användarens meddelande.

Because of the increasing numbers of international tourist arrivals each year it is essential that tourist operators are aware of the impacts that tourism generate. Tourism affects the world in an environmental, social and economic way, positive but also in a negative way. To travel responsible and sustainable is therefore important, and operators have a responsibility in this subject.Because of this I wanted to look at how Swedish tourist operators manage responsible tourism, together with what amount of information their customers receive about this. To be able to study how operators work with this I conducted three interviews via email. The tourist operators were of different sizes and specializations to receive a more extensive result.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate if the library can be a real partner for researchers in managing and dealing with their research information. In this study, six researchers have been interviewed about their problems with information management. This study uses the method Critical Incident Technique for the interviews with the researchers. This method focuses mainly on problems and what happens around those problems.

Deliberative democracy theory holds that democracy is about active partaking on formal and informal arenas in the public sphere where fairly equal citizens can obtain knowledge, discuss, evaluate and affect the political agenda before decisions are made.In line with the deliberative vision of online deliberation social media such as Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Twingly offer such formal and informal arenas where people can obtain knowledge and interact with other people, and politicians.The Swedish EU-Presidency was the first EU-presidency to make use of social media and it was the first time the Swedish Government Offices used other social media than email and chat features.This thesis will examine the Swedish EU-Presidency?s ambitions of using social media as well as the actual use of social media on the Swedish EU-Presidency website in the light of deliberative democracy theory.The aim of this thesis is, through a case study, to analyze the Swedish EU-Presidency?s use of social media in the light of deliberative democracy theory..

Detta examensarbete utvärderar XML:s framtida möjligheter. XML är ett dynamiskt markeringsspråk som är tänkt att lösa många av HTML:s brister. Hittills har markeringsspråket fått mycket positiv kritik, men i och med att XML fortfarande inte har slagit igenom helt är dess framtid fortfarande oviss.En undersökning av tidigare produkt- och teknikintroduktioner i samhället resulterar i ett ramverk bestående av faktorer som kan påverka produkter/tekniker vid en introduktion på marknaden. Detta ramverk jämförs sedan med XML för att se i vilken omfattning XML uppfyller ramverkets faktorer.Vidare undersöks tre produkt- och teknikutvecklingsmetoder, vilket resulterar i att de utvecklingsfaser som ses som extra viktiga vid produkt- och teknikutveckling tas fram. Dessa faser fungerar som en mall då XML:s utvecklingsprocess studeras.Ovanstående undersökningar genomförs som litteraturstudie.

Ett community är en mötesplats på Internet där människor kan hålla kontakt, lära känna nya människor, diskutera osv. Det finns idag en mängd olika communities med många olika inriktningar. Communityn är idag mycket populära sidor på nätet och vissa har enormt mycket besökare och tjänar stora pengar. Det kan därför vara svårt att locka medlemmar om inte communityt innehåller nyheter som inte redan finns. Målet med det här arbetet har varit att skapa en tilltalande och användarvänlig design till ett community med ett sommar, fest och rese- tema.

CSR - "Corporate Social Responsibility" is a concept that in recent years has become of bigger importance for companies. Even at McDonald's, which quickly grew into today's 217 restaurants, with up to 430 000 visitors daily. We have investigated how the McDonald's CSR work has evolved over time, how it looks today and what has influenced this development. Things that have influenced McDonald's and led to their CSR work proved to be scandals and changes in legislations. The PR value of working with CSR has also increased and a lot of the CSR work has shown to be economically viable.

Animationer av karaktärer och objekt är en viktig del vid skapandet av spel. Detta är något som det läggs mycket fokus på att få så realistisk som möjligt, även spelfysik används till viss del här för att ge karaktärer möjlighet att anpassa sig till miljöer. Det här arbetet undersöker och implementerar ett styrsystem, som används för animations generering till en trasdocka, med hjälp av artificiell intelligens. Styrsystemet använder sig av en självorganiserande artificiell intelligens för att generera animationer som följer ett specifikt beteende, i det här arbetet har animationer som fokuserar på att skydda höften skapats.Arbetet har gett goda resultat som indikerar på att denna lösning fungerar för att generera animationer på en trasdocka, som ska följa ett visst beteende. Detta visade sig möjligt genom att använda artificiellt neuralt nätverk kombinerat med genetisk algoritm..

FLB Logistik i Gävle är en lagerfirma som arbetar med lagerhållning och logistik åt andra stora företag. FLB har idag en webbsida där deras kunder kan logga in och se saldo och produkter som de lagerhåller. Problemet är att denna webbsida saknar en ?orderläggningsmodul?, en funktion där deras kunder kan lägga beställningar på pallar som de vill ha utkörda. Beställningar görs idag via e-post eller telefon till anställda hos FLB Logistik, som i sin tur skriver in alla beställningar manuellt i ett system.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine the function of public libraries on the social web, focusing on reading promotion and reading stimulation. For an understanding of the larger context regarding public libraries on the social web, we conducted online interviews via email with people in the Swedish library profession, together with a content analysis of various texts on the subject found in library journals and on the Internet. Furthermore to identify the public library's practice on reading promotion and reading stimulation on the social web, we did interviews with librarians at a public library on their use of a blog for this purpose, together with a questionnaire handed out to the library's users on their use and conceptions of the blog.The conceptual framework of this study consists of four key aspects in the theoretical and empirical definition of Library 2.0 presented by Holmberg, Huvila and Widén-Wulff. The results showed that the public library can create a substantial value through its use of the social web, but it?s necessary to have a clear vision of the desired outcome.

It is said that libraries are the cornerstones of democracy.What is then the democratic mandate, and how is itperceived by the library staff? That's what I examine in thismaster's thesis. I?ve made 14 phone interviews with librarystaff, from assistants to managers, and examined what theirdaily work routine looks like and what they think belongs tothe democratic mandate. I found that all agree that there is ademocratic mandate, but it is not clearly stated in anydocument.I found seven areas that my respondents saw as part of themandate; availability, diversity, children and young people,equality, public education, free of law and cultural history.These are not sharply defined, but can often move into oneanother.

Smärt och rehabiliteringenheten på Universitetsjukhuset i Linköping har efterfrågat en webbapplikation som ska fungera som ett supplement till den traditionella rehabiliteringsplanen som finns för att hjälpa patienter. Webbapplikationens huvudsakliga mål är att förbereda patienter för kommande rehabilitering och även vara ett verktyg för kommunikation och hjälpmedel både under och efter rehabiliteringen. Vårt examensarbete har gått ut på att utveckla plattformen MERIT, "Min egen rehabilitering på Internet". Plattformen är webbaserad och uppbyggd efter MVC mönstret med hjälp av PHP-ramverket CodeIgniter. Behandlare har själva möjligheten och ansvaret att skapa det material som ska delgivas patienterna på både individuell och gruppnivå.

The purpose of this thesis is to through brand communication and Red Bull?simage examine how they position themselves as leaders on the Swedish energydrink market. We chose relevant theories within buzz marketing, word ofmouth, sampling and events. Our method of preference was quantitativequestionnaires which we spred through email to students at the LinneausUniversity and other social networks such as Facebook and blogs. Our empiricalstudy is based on our questionnaires and information about Red Bull.
