The purpose of this essay is to examine the construction of the norm-breaking characters Saga from the young adult novel Tusen gånger starkare written by Christina Herrström and Pippi Longstocking from the books written by Astrid Lindgren. In order to do this I have applied queer theory as well as theories of narrative in my analysis.To be able to study the breaking of norms, it has been essential to first examine the way the norm itself is manifested in the books. Because of this I have chosen to begin my analysis with an examination of two other characters who by their normative behavior contrasts against Pippi and Saga, namely Signe and Annika. The understanding of the normative discourse that Signe and Annika represent is crucial in understanding the way Saga and Pippi later turn against it.After that I examine in which ways Saga and Pippi breaks prevalent norms and how they as characters are constructed as being different. Subsequently I study the effects of Saga?s and Pippi?s norm-breaking, taking focus on how it influences Signe and Annika.Finally I discuss the view of Saga and Pippi as subversive characters, and however the books can be said to have a subversive effect.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how teachers work and reflects on gender education in preschools. We also want to take part of how teacher?s thoughts are reflected in the physical indoor environment and how the environment is designed by reviewing the rooms furnishing and the selected materials. We will do this by visiting a number of preschools located in Stockholm and New York. We have chosen three questions to get the answers on our purpose.How teachers reflect around gender pedagogy are, and how the thoughts are expressed in the practical work.How the teachers communicate with their co-workers about gender pedagogy.How the teachers own thoughts and reflections on gender pedagogy have been expressed in the physical indoor environment where the children stay during the day. We have used interviews and observations as a method to gather the information that we needed to answer our questions of the thesis.

Johansson, E. Omvårdnadshandledning ? tid till eftertanke. En litteraturstudie om sjuksköterskestudenters upplevelser av omvårdnadshandledning i grupp. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 15 poäng, Malmö högskola: Hälsa och Samhälle, utbildningsområde omvårdnad, 2011. Omvårdnadshandledning i grupp är och har varit en obligatorisk del av sjuksköterskeutbildningen vid Malmö Högskola sedan 1993, Hälsa och Samhälle.

Examensarbetets utgångspunkt var en bakgrundsbild över området sexuell läggning och den svenska gymnasieskolan med fokus på problemområden. Denna bild relaterades sedan till diskurser i nio likabehandlingsplaner från gymnasieskolor i Malmö i syfte att belysa och diskutera beröringspunkter samt potentiell problematik i diskurserna. Vi inspirerades av den kritiska diskursanalysen i det analysverktyg vi använde för att synliggöra och tolka diskurser i likabehandlingsplanerna. Avsikten var inte att kritisera enskilda skolor utan att uppnå en diskussion runt allmän problematik vilken skulle kunna finnas på fler gymnasieskolor.Två problemområden utkristalliserade sig i bakgrundsteckningen: Osynliggörande samt utpekande. Dessa problemområden gick att se dels på den strukturella nivån vilken fokuserar på skolan som värdebärande institution och dels på den individuella nivån vilken fokuserar på konkreta situationer inom denna kontext.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att, ur ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv, undersöka vilka föreställningar och eventuella normer kring kön och sexualitet fritidsledare på två hbt-certifierade fritidsgårdar förmedlar. Även vilka konsekvenser detta får utifrån ett queerteoretiskt perspektiv, vill jag undersöka.Teori: Denna studie baseras på en queerteoretisk förståelse av kunskap och jag använder mig bland annat av Rosenbergs (2002) beskrivning av dikotomier och Butlers (1990) begrepp den heterosexuella matrisen. Ahmeds (2006) förståelse av kroppars orientering kommer jag också att basera min studie på. Jag tar även hjälp av tidigare forskning som jag jämför och förhåller min studie till, bland annat till jämför jag mina resultat med de slutsatser Kumashiro (2002) dragit, efter att ha undersökt skolors strategier för förändring. Metod: Min studie är av kvalitativ art då jag för att samla in mitt material använde mig av både intervjuer och observationer.

Gruppen homosexuella har en sämre psykisk hälsa än gruppen heterosexuella vil-ket kan bero på en strukturell diskriminering i samhället. Enligt forskning finns det sjuksköterskor som skulle välja att inte vårda homosexuella patienter om möj-ligheten fanns. Därav syftet med denna studie: att undersöka lesbiska kvinnors erfarenheter av bemötande inom hälso- och sjukvård i relation till sexuell identi-tet. Vidare frågeställningar är om och hur sexuell identitet är relevant i vårdmötet samt vilket bemötande som är önskvärt enligt informanterna. Metoden för studien är att genomföra en induktiv intervjuundersökning, där ett urval av sex lesbisk kvinnor med erfarenhet av slutenvård ingår.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur socialarbetare i olika kommuner i Sverige resonerar kring homosexuella som vill bli fosterföräldrar. Mina övriga frågeställningar är hur de beskriver ett bra familjehem, och hur de resonerar om barnets perspektiv (när det gäller barn som placeras i samkönade familjehem). Jag har använt mig av den kvalitativa forskningsmetoden genom att telefon-intervjua sju socialarbetare. De teorier som jag har valt, och som jag har använt mig av för att analysera mitt insamlade material är: Socialkonstruktivismen, Gayle Rubins modell om de sexuella hierarkierna, och Queer teorin. Det visar sig att homosexuella fosterföräldrar fortfarande är en minoritetsgrupp. Men trots det betonar socialarbetarna att fosterföräldrarnas sexuella identitet inte ska påverka utredningen.

The study investigated pensioners? forming of identity during the ageing process and the correlation between norms and identity. Previous research has shown that there are norms and notions about elderly and what growing old well implies. There is missing research on the level of the individual with norms, ageing and the process of identity formation. There is a large population of pensioners in Sweden and the authors behind this study wish that the results of it will help study counsellors to approach pensioners? in a norm critic way.

Uppsatsen ger en retorisk analys av tidningsdebatten Ranelidfejden 2003. Fejden startade med skribenten Linda Skugges recension i Expressen av Björn Ranelids bok Kvinnan är det första könet. Inom kort publicerades artiklar i Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet som ifrågasatte Skugges kompetens som kritiker. Uppsatsen undersöker dessa artiklar och hur de argumenterar för att upprätthålla respektive bryta mot de normer som finns kring traditionell litteraturkritik. Detta görs genom att utgå från Kenneth Burkes dramatistiska analys inklusive ett genusperspektiv.

The purpose of this study is to find out what preschool teachers think about antisocial children's literature. Based on five qualitative interviews with teachers at a preschool that works with a standard critical approach. In order to fulfill my purpose with this study, I focused on how these teachers felt that it was important to use the standard critical children's literature in preschool. I wanted to find out what the teachers' thoughts were on the concept of standard critical children's literature and how and whether they use it in their daily activities. When I analyzed the results of my interviews I used the queer theories that include standard critical pedagogy and literature in preschool.

GERGANA TOSEVA KARIN SELIN A thesis in Social work studies (15 credits) at Malmö University, Hälsa och Samhälle 2012. The discussion about sex and gender is always prominent in a social work context. Our purpose and questions are hence based on the discussion on transgender theory and the way of thinking about the non-binary, and how it relates to the nearby theories. The method of the essay consists of a semi systematic literature overview with the focus on discussing transgender theory in relation to other theories and perspectives, such as modernism, post modernism, feminism and queer theory. We answer the following questions: 1. Is it possible to go beyond or exceed the binary of sex and if so, how do we see it in the material we examined? 2. In what way are the existing theories of sex / gender in the binary? 3. Can one featuring a female embodied subject be of assistance to transgender people's search for an embodied subject? We consider it possible to move beyond the binary by using ?fuzzy logic?(Nagoshi & Brzuzy 2010, Tauchert 2002) which is a way of staying in the binary but expanding the term and work in the grey areas instead.

In this essay I examine how in seven different congregations that belong to the Church of Sweden the preparatory office is formulated in ways that differ from the form that is prescribed in the current service-book of the Church of Sweden. My purpose is to examine how and why the congregations have chosen these alternative preparatory offices. This I have tried to find out by reading the written instructions and/or homepages of the congregations, studying their orders of service and interviewing one pastor in each congregation.Before describing, comparing and commenting on the different ways these congregations have chosen to formulate their preparatory offices, I give a historical background to the preparatory office itself and how it is formulated/designed in the current service book of the Church of Sweden. I also describe the history and the introduction of the Kyrie.I then describe each congregation, trying to point out the main characteristics of it, then concentrating on the process that lies behind the urge to formulate an alternative preparatory office, the reasons for it and the results.One of the conclusions I draw is that in the congregations I have examined there is an ongoing discussion about and reflection on the advantages of including the Kyrie in the preparatory office. I also found that in the congregations there are different opinions about the words following the prayer of penitence - should they be words of direct absolution or words that speak about the promise of God's forgiveness? This discussion is closely connected to a discussion about what is the connection between the preparatory office and the holy communion/Eucharist.

Konstpedagogik har funnits sedan 1800-talet och förändrats med tiden, nya perspektiv har tillkommit och gett nya arbetssätt. På 2000-talet slog queerteorin igenom ordentligt som teori och började användas i olika sammanhang, ett sådant var som grund för konstpedagogiken. Med nya perspektiv kommer nya frågeställningar och nya grundvallar. Queerteorin vänder upp och ner på många invanda föreställningar om hur världen är eller ska vara. Konstpedagogiken grundar sig i många fall på konventioner om konst.
