SammanfattningProjektgrupp 14-X5 avser med denna rapport att ge avdelningen Bioreagens på Thermo Fisher Scientific ett underlag för att på sikt kunna byta ut fetalt kalvserum (FCS) mot ett kemiskt definierat suplement vid odling av mushybridomceller för produktion av monoklonala antikroppar. Thermo Fisher Scientific är ett världsomspännande bioteknikföretag som utvecklar blodtestsystem som stöd för klinisk diagnos och uppföljning av allergier, astma och autoimmuna sjukdomar.Fetalt kalvserum är en tillsats i många odlingsmedier som ofta är nödvändig för att cellerna ska växa. Det finns dock många problem med FCS. Det är en biprodukt av köttindustrin och produceras på ett etiskt tveksamt sätt, variation mellan olika batcher förekommer och då det är en animalisk produkt finns en risk för kontamination av bland annat bakterier, virus och prioner. Av dessa anledningar vill man byta ut FCS mot ett kemiskt definierat, serumfritt supplement.

AbstractSierra Leone is a very poor country in Africa. Botswana is another country, that has a similar history and the same deposit; diamonds. Botswana has reached economic growth and democracy and Sierra Leone has not.The purpose with this study is to explain why Botswana is more democratic and has reached a better result economic than Sierra Leone.The questions in this study are:What explains the democratic and the economic results in Sierra Leone and Botswana?* Dahl?s institutions that furthers a polyarchy?* Gunnarsson?s and Rojas? institutional explanations?* Diamond?s and Morlino?s ?rule of law??* Other explanations or a combination of the above-mentioned explanations?The method that has been used in this study is a comparative case study with a qualitative contents analysis. The result is that it?s hard to say that one explanation is the right one.

A child with functional disorder getting close to starting school has different types of schooling to choose between. Parents and the school of the matter have to agree in consultation. I use the conceptions included and segregated schooling to show different ways attend school. By included education I mean that all students with as well as without functional disorder in a group shall be completely comprised in the situation and not be separated from the group by individual exercises (Fors 2004). A segregated schooling is often pursued in special school where all the students have functional disorder and the education usually takes place in separate buildings (Emanuelsson 2001).I have completed a qualitative case study of a boy who is 14 years old and has the functional disorder Down?s syndrome and has been placed at a special school his entire schooling.

In this investigation has an attempt to find out whether so called transplanting shock depends on the moving and transplanting of trees, to other conditions, or if it is due to the imbalance between the root to shoot ratio. To be able to answer the question, measurements of the length of the terminal shoots and the lateral shoots and the dimension of the stem growth have been done and also has a visual judgment of the trees vitality been performed. The result shows that it is not only the move of the trees that gives them transplanting shock, but rather the loss of roots which gives an imbalance between the root and crown..

The objective of this thesis is to examine the capital structure of Swedish small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). Accounting data from Swedish game developers, combined with the result from a survey, is used to examine their financial conditions and capital structure decisions. We find that non-debt tax shield, firm size, growth opportunities and age are, to various extents, the determinants of capital structure in the game industry, while effective tax rate and asset structure have marginal effects. Our study also implicates that most of the existing capital structure theories can explain SMEs leverage decisions to some extent; however, some adaptation is needed to fit these theories into the SME context. Additionally, we find the existence of a financial gap in the game industry which might need efforts from both demand side and supply side to eliminate..

Bakgrund. Plötslig spädbarnsdöd definieras som när ett barn under ett år plötsligt och oförklarligt dör utan att dödsorsak går att fastställa. Det är den största dödsorsaken bland barn mellan en månad och ett år i utvecklade länder. Sjuksköterskan bör vara välinformerad om vetenskaplig forskning inom ämnet, och arbeta aktivt för att föra denna kunskap vidare till föräldrar.Syfte. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa sjuksköterskans roll och föräldrars följsamhet gällande information om plötslig spädbarnsdöd.Metod.

Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att utreda om Treponema-arter är tänkbara etiologiska agens till öronnekros hos gris. Sjukdomen drabbar främst unga djur och då framförallt efter avvänjning. Symptomen yttrar sig som ytliga lesioner eller nekroser på ytterörat och det är vanligt att många djur drabbas vid samma tidpunkt. Sjukdomen anses vara ett djurvälfärdsproblem men är inte associerad med några produktionsnedgångar. Vid bakteriologiska undersökningar finner man framförallt spiroketer, kockoida och kockobacillära bakterier.

This paper aims to examine how and to what extent, a transition of Sweden according to the principles of Omställning Sverige (Transition towns Sweden), have the potential to contribute to a society with increased happiness.The paper is based on a qualitative textual analysis of the key texts in the Swedish Transition towns movement, Omställning Sverige. In the first part of the study the most important transition principles of Omställning Sverige were identified. Four key principles emerged: An altered view of economics, a spiritual change, a stronger local community and increased awareness. These transition principles were then analyzed through the lens of the scientific fields position on happiness, followed by a summarizing conclusion.The altered view of economics which Omställning Sverige advocates, where sustainability and quality of life are priorities over economic growth, is even necessary to secure our basic physiological needs. Such an economy has also improved conditions for economic stability, high employment and higher efficiency in the sense of happiness promoted in relationship to how many natural resources are used.

Introduktion: Patienter med IBS är en relativt stor patientgrupp som ger upphov till många möten ivården. Dock uttrycker patienter stor brist på förståelse, frustration över sin situation samt behov avstrategier att hantera sin sjukdom. Syfte: Att fördjupa förståelsen för hur patienter med IBSupplever möten i vården och skapa en sammanfattande bild för hur dessa patienter bör bemötas.Metod: En systematisk analys av kvalitativ forskning. Sju artiklar inkluderades, analyserades ochsyntetiserades. Resultat: Genom syntetisering framkom tre teman som fördjupade förståelsen förhur patienter med IBS dels upplever sig själva och dels upplever möten i vården vilket sammantagetskapade en bild av hur dessa patienter bör bemötas; Patienternas upplevelser av sig själva sompatienter, Behovet av att bli bekräftad i vården (bekräfta diagnos och bekräfta besvären) ochBehovet av personcentrerade åtgärder (lärande och stöd).

Ytterligare kunskap kan bidra till ökad förståelse och leda till bättre vård. Syfte: Att beskriva mammors upplevelser av att drabbas av HELLP syndrom och samtidigt mista sitt väntade barn. Metod: En kvalitativ fallstudie med djupintervjuer som analyserades genom kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Studien påvisade det kaos och den overklighetskänsla mammorna upplevde då insjuknandet och händelserna skedde i snabb takt.

In order to run a viable sheepproduction, producers needs to be successful in the breeding of the animals and achievean economic surplus in the end. Lambs that are born healthy and vital have greaterconditions to perform high lamb weight gains and thus a successful production. Thereare many factors affect the survival, birth weight and early weight gain of the new bornlamb.

The enormous expansion of knowledge society has lead to a path away from the industrial enterprises toward the more knowledge-based entrepreneurship companies. This development has also meant that intellectual capital now can be seen as the core of the new business structure. However the growth has not been reflected in either the legal or the economic regulations in relation to what could have been expected, which means that there is thus a gap between de lege lata and de lege ferenda. Flera studier har pekat på viktiga faktorer för att hälsa och återgång till yrkeslivet ska vara möjliga men hur detta i praktiken ska ske och vilka rehabiliteringsåtgärder som är mest effektiva är otillräckligt belagt. Studien har genom intervjuer med sju kvinnor med stressrelaterade störningar granskat hur en tillfriskningsprocess kan upplevas och vad som upplevs som meningsfull hjälp i samband med den. Deras tillfriskning har inneburit en kamp och ett starkt personligt engagemang. Beslutsamhet och målinriktning var förutsättningar för att få ta del av rehabiliteringsåtgärder. Kvinnorna i studien har upplevt ett stort personligt ansvarstagande för sin tillfriskning men de har också betonat vikten av bekräftelse från en förstående omgivning.

The aim of this essay is to discuss the problems concerning the right of priority for re-employment in connection to employing temporary agency workers. This will be done with the help of relevant laws, preparatory work and literature that fall within the scope of the legal dogmatic method.Using temporary personnel is becoming considerably more common throughout the Swedish workplace. In recent years there has been a rapid growth of work agencies and a tendency to employ temporary personnel. At the same time employees are made redundant, suffering the consequences that arise from the workplace failing to abide by the rules of re-employment. In order to claim that the employer has failed to follow the right of priority for re-employment, evidence must be sufficient.
