Denna uppsats vill beskriva två olika typer av konst- och vetenskapsorganisationer som sammanför konstnärer och vetenskapsmän. Olika händelser från dessa organisationer beskrivs dels för att verksamheten har varit banbrytande av olika slag. Dels innebär verksamheten någonting nytt på i alla fall i organiserad form. Det andra är att ställa E.A.T. och ASCI mot den linjära spridningsmodellen.

En användbar metod för att påvisa träningseffekter är att mäta hjärtfrekvensen. Hos människa ses en sänkt vilopuls som ett resultat av en konditionsförbättring. På häst finns det få studier om ett samband mellan en vilopulssänkning och konditionsförbättring. Genom evolutionen har hästen utvecklats till en extraordinär atlet, för att undkomma predatorer krävdes snabbhet och för att färdas långa distanser i sökandet efter vatten och föda krävdes uthållighet. Ett antal fysiologiska anpassningar kan förklara hästens atletiska kapacitet, dessa påverkas i vissa fall inte av träning som till exempel lungstorleken medan andra som blodvolymen visar på en träningsrespons.

Study objects: Three different productions companies which the authors have chosen to be anonymous. Purpose: The purpose with this study is to examine why production companies choose to use 3D-animations in television commercials, and what different kind of aspects affects their decisions. Theoretical: The theoretical chapter reviews the history of 3D-animation andtelevision commercials and other fields that will be relevant laterin the analysis and discussion. Method: A case study has been made on three different companies, two of the companies are active in post-production and the other one is active in the consulting area. Data was collected through semistructured interviews with two of the companies.

Wind damages next to strip roads in 1st and 2nd thinning in Boxholm, Östergötland Anneli Fransson, SLU, inst f sydsvensk skogsvetenskap, Examensarbete no 108 Wind damage is something we are all familiar with since the storms Gudrun (2005) and Per (2007). Research about strip roads and wind damage is very limited. It is commonly known that the trees next to the strip roads more often fall whit heavy winds, and the purpose of this thesis was to verify this statement. Data was collected from first- and second thinnings at Boxholms Skogar AB, Östergötland. In first thinnings data was collected from both spruce and pine stands and second thinnings only data from spruce stands was collected.

Vi lever i en föränderlig värld där organisationer ständigt måste förändras för att behålla sin konkurrenskraft. Alla dessa förändringar måste ledas av någon ? en förändringsagent. En förändringsagent är den som ska se till att en förändring genomförs så effektivt som möjligt. Då förändringen kan vara av olika slag var vårt syfte att undersöka om agenten måste inneha olika kompetens beroende på förändringens kontext.

Aldrig har det funnits ett problem som man förstått så väl, och för vilket så litet görs!Enligt svensk lagstiftning är vissa yrkesutövare skyldiga att anmäla till socialtjänsten om ett barn far illa eller vid endast misstanke på detta. Med detta examensarbete ville vi få klart för oss vad vi som blivande förskollärare har för skyldigheter och rättigheter mot dessa barn som far illa av något slag. Genom intervjuer har vi fått höra förskollärares syn på anmälningsskyldigheten och hur man förhåller sig till barn som far illa. Vårt resultat visar att de intervjuade förskollärarna är fullt medvetna om sina skyldigheter men agerandet till att anmäla brister på grund av att de inte anser sig ha tydliga bevis..

The Iron Age cemetery at Tuna in Badelunda parish, Västmanland, is a complex and unique burial ground used for only 69 graves during a period of roughly 700 years, between 300 - 1050 AC. The individuals buried at Tuna show an impressive variety of gravegods as well as stonesettings formed above the grave. Who where these people that were cremated at Tuna, among the mysterious women in the boats and the rich women in grave X? As we study the graves of the cremated individuals we reach a new understanding of the cemetery; from its social structure down to every individual. Through the analysis of the stonesettings, gravegods and bones we see a how these subjects, when analysed, show a picture of the individuals and social structure of the cemetery.

The purpose with this report is to compare moose browsing in young stands within a small game preservation, and if there are any differences between two areas. The method used in the inventory is a local damage caused by moose browsing survey. It is suitable on areas that have more than 50 hectares but less than 250 hectares of young forest. Inventory of moose browsing is best done on bare ground in the spring and should preferably be done before the flushing begins at the pine. Orsblecks game management area is divided into two different moose management areas, Noppikoski and Siljansringen. During the winter Siljansringen has a denser winter strain of moose, because of the moose seek out lower parts with less snow during the winter. This should also lead to the southernmost part should accommodate larger proportion of damages caused by browsing by moose.

Uranium (U) is a naturally occurring component in bedrock and under the "right" conditions it can dissolve and move into the ground water. Since many people in Sweden depend on drilled wells as their main drinking water supply, they may be exposed to the uranium in the water. Radioactive radiation is not the major concern associated with naturally occurring uranium. It is rather the chemical properties of uranium that make it a potential danger to human health. Uranium is proven to have toxic effects with respect to the functioning of the kidneys.

AbstractDrinking water is an important resource on Earth both for humans and animals. Although most of the surface is covered by water only a small quantity is available as drinking water. Our manner of living creates a lot of pollution which has an environmental impact. Groundwater has a protracted turnover time in the soil and it can take many years before the effects of human impact are detected. The Swedish environmental object is ?Good groundwater quality? which aims to provide a safe and sustainable supply of drinking water today and in the future.

Throughout the history its area has been vastly contaminated by sulfur oxide. The contaminations has created the mining area to an environmental risk zone which has the ability to spread out into the Falu River. The river has its connections to the Dal River which is discharging towards its mouth in the Baltic Sea.

This paper is an attempt to re-read Walter Benjamin?s essay ?critique of violence? by separating what we here presume being its three-part core or axis, namely Right (rätt, as in Law), Justice (rättvisa) and Violence (våld), and then make an inquiry into the relationship between them, or, to what extent these three parts relate to each other. The method for doing so is at first a close-up reading of Benjamin?s text, where the core parts are being mentioned. Thereafter we will take a look at some of the most prominent attempts to read Benjamin to see to what extent their interpretation is compatible to ours.

The purpose of this thesis was to determine what materials should be used when creating a stimulating garden for intellectually handicapped people and whether there are materials that are better than others to use in this kind of environment. How the materials preferably can be used and how the environment should be designed to satisfy the need of each individual will also be discussed. Seriously intellectually handicapped people have the same level of intelligence as a normal 0-2 year old child. It is important to point out that these individuals can not be compared to a normal child in other aspects than the level of abstract thinking and perception of reality. As the grown up intellectually handicapped people have remained a lot longer on this stage of intelligence they have got more experience. (Kylén 1981) It is important with a lot of different experiences for the brain to develop normally, which implies the use of many different materials to achieve the best stimulation (Kylén 1981).

Invoxicated is an interactive play sculpture where children can explore the wonderful and playful opportunities of sound. Talk into one end of the sculpture, and the sound will travel through the sculpture and come out in the other end. On its way, the sound gets distorted by a number of sound effects. By bending the sculpture?s body, and pressing the sculpture?s buttons, the sound effects gets altered in real time.
