Idrottsanläggningen Enavallen i centrala Enköping ska flyttas och ytan ska bebyggas med bostäder. Det geografiska läget och det faktum att området delvis gränsar till Enköpingsån, vars roll i staden Enköpings kommun har som ambition att utveckla, gör Enavallen till ett intressant område att studera. Området ligger dessutom nära befintliga villaområden, en prisbelönt park samt strax intill den centrala rutnätsstad som centrum utgör. Området studerades med analysverktyget Space Syntax för att ge en tydligare bild över de befintliga gångstråk som finns i staden. Analyserna visade att Enavallens potential begränsades av det faktum att ån spärrar av hela norra delen av området. Dessutom är idrottsplatsen, som upptar den största delen av ytan på Enavallen, till stora delar inte utformad för genomströmmande gångtrafik. En förutsättning för exploateringen av Enavallen är att antalet bostäder i området styrs av att försäljningen av bostäderna ska finansiera den nya idrottsplatsen som ska byggas på en närliggande plats.

Relationship between social behaviour, feeding behaviour and performance of boars using single-space feeders A study on the behavioural patterns of growing boars is presented. The study was preformed at Quality Genetics? boar testing station Månseryd in Sweden. The boars were purebred Yorkshire, Hampshire or Landrace, born in nine different nucleus farms. The study is based on two batches of boars, with 63 and 69 boars respectively.

Detta arbete berör kunskaper och frågor kring hur vi använder och har använt oss av landsbygden som bo- och arbetsplats, samt hur dess karaktär och gestaltning upplevs och påverkas av utveckling och ett förändrat användande. Genom ortsanalyser på två mindre landsbygdsorter i Karlskrona kommun registreras och karaktäriseras landsbygdens särdrag, upplevda kvalitéer och begränsningar. Inventering och analys sker genom ortsanalysmetoden Estetisk Byutformning, framtagen av Thomas Thiis-Evensen, samt genom samtal med boende där tankar och upplevelser sammanställs i en mental karta. Adekvat forskning, skriftliga källor, strategier och kommunala planer studeras och skapar tillsammans med analysresultaten en bas för framtida utveckling och gestaltning av landsbygdens bebyggelse. Utifrån insamlat material skapas riktlinjer för framtida komplettering av bebyggelse, dessa i form av utvecklingsprinciper med syfte att bevara och utveckla landsbygdens agrara karaktär. Med dessa utvecklingsprinciper som utgångspunkt föreslås sedan ett planförslag med gestaltningsprogram för bostadsutveckling på västra Möcklö, beläget vid Karlskrona kommuns östra kust..

This thesis seeks to investigate the relationship between municipal policy for housing supply and the planning of new housing in Sweden. Through a case study of Göteborg municipality and a comparative content analysis of Göteborgs policy for housing supply and a number of plans featuring housing the analysis seeks to investigate the effect of policy for housing supply as a tool for securing the demand for housing in the Swedish municipalities. The thesis also seeks to discuss its findings using theory concerning the implementation of policy and the general planning situation for Swedish municipalities today. The result of the analysis shows that most plans fail to regulate most of the content suggested in the policy for housing supply, particularly regarding aspects such as pricing, type of housing and type of ownership. The result also points towards a relationship regarding the prevalence of municipal land contracts and compatibility to policy for housing supply as well as a connection between how extensive the plans are in their proposed land use and their compatibility with policy for housing supply.

This project was initiated by a desire to improve our knowledge about animal welfare. It is a part of a series of projects involving the way dogs are kept in today?s society. The aim of this project was to investigate the dog?s behaviour when left alone in a parked car.

SUMMARYEnvironmental issues are currently a hot topic of debate. Studies within the optics branch have not specifically been conducted previously, so the aim of this study was to determine the extent of environmental-awareness specifically within this branch.A survey, consisting of questions relating to environmental issues, was distributed to 100 randomly-selected opticians in Sweden. Of these 100 surveys, 64 were returned and showed a varied branch-engagement for environmental issues.Results of this survey showed that opticians were best in sorting newspapers, magazines, other paper and hazardous waste. Metal and rigid plastic were not sorted to any larger extent.Choosing environmentally-safe products was not so popular and only six stores always do this. 25 shops turn off electrical machines and equipment over night; while the majority of the remaining stores leave the machines on during the night.27 stores did not know if their electrical company provided ?green electricity?.Results showed that there is a lot of work to be done in making the stores more environmentally friendly.

I uppsatsen studeras den kommunikativa planeringsteorin utifrån en utgångspunkt om att den inbegriper en inbyggd konflikt i att å ena sidan syfta till att skapa ett mer rättvist och demokratiskt samhälle, samtidigt som flera problemområden identifierats vilka hindrar deltagandeprocesser att uppnå detta mål. Genom att studera en detaljplaneprocess i Biskopsgården i Göteborg där stadsbyggnadskontoret själva valt att engagera en medborgargrupp, syftar uppsatsen till att skapa en djupare förståelse för hur den kommunala planprocessen kan arbeta med frågor om inkludering, konsensus, lokal demokrati och legitimitet. Den för studien aktuella medborgargruppen har fått ett relativt gott genomslag för sina förslag i planprocessen. Uppsatsen menar dock att detta inte främst beror på den detaljplaneprocess som dialogarbetet genomfördes i, utan snarare för att även andra planeringsnivåer varit förmögna att införliva gruppens förslag i sina respektive processer. Grunden till detta är att vidden av deltagandegruppens perspektiv på stadsdelens utveckling övergår detaljplaneprocessens möjlighet till utvecklingsarbete. Vad gäller undersökningen av uppsatsens värdeladdade begrepp, kan den aktuella medborgardeltagandeprocessen anses ha uppnått en relativt hög grad av inkludering i sina praktiker.

AimThe aim of this essay is to investigate the possibility to exercise climbing within the framework of the physical education in the obligatory school. We investigated how physical education teachers think about exercising climbing in school and how the Swedish Climbing Association is working to reach out to schools.MethodA questionnaire was sent out to 81 schools (Idrottshögskolans partner schools) in suburban Stockholm, which corresponds to 10% of the total amount of schools in that area. A mail interview was also made with a representative for the Swedish Climbing Association who also represented a local climbing association, to collect information about how they worked with schools and youth.ResultsWe have not found anything in the steering documents against exercising climbing during physical education. There are obstacles for exercising climbing during physical education, a wall for climbing is very expensive and the schools have a lack of space for this wall. The results from the questionnaire showed that 76% of all the schools that did not have a wall for climbing wanted to have one.

Uppsatsen behandlar temat urbana tillväxtstrategier i svensk planering. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur översiktsplaner har påverkats av entrepreneurial city, platsmarknadsföring och kreativa klassen som alla är olika teorier om urban tillväxt. Undersökningen utgår ifrån fem kommuner med en översiktsplan från tidigt 90-tal och en aktuell plan antagen omkring 2010. Översiktsplanerna studeras utifrån de valda teorierna (entrepreneurial city, platsmarknadsföring och kreativa klassen) om urban tillväxt för att ge förståelse för hur strategierna i kommunernas översiktsplaner har påverkats av teorierna. Den genomförda undersökningen visar på en förändring över tid som pekar mot mer tillväxtorienterad planering..

Mitt examensarbete går ut på att ge förslag till stadsomvandling av ett industriområde i centrala Malmö, även kallat Varvsstaden. Förslaget skall framförallt fungera som underlag och inspirationskälla till exploatering av området under förutsättning att industriföretagen flyttat ut. En inventering av området har gjorts, där de befintliga och planerade förutsättningarna studerats. Tyngdpunkterna i förslaget bygger på strukturen och kopplingarna mot omgivningen, men målet är också att skapa en funktionsblandad, integrerad och attraktiv stadsdel med ett varierat utbud av bostäder, verksamheter och service. En viktig aspekt i projekteringen av området är bevarandet av den äldre bebyggelsen inom området och hur man förhåller sig mellan gammalt och nytt. Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union a lot of hope has been put on civil society to help develop Russia into a more democratic society. This study explores the constructive elements in the relationship between civil society and the state in Russia, and how this enables the work toward political development. By using Julie Fishers theory about political development and organisational autonomy I discuss the varying and often complex ways in which civil society and the state interacts. These are often not mentioned in the liberal tradition, which believes that civil society's most important democratic function is to act as a watchdog for the state.There is very limited political space for NGO's in authoritative Russia. The existing oppositional NGO's are important for the political development, but they are few and their impacts on society are limited.
