The essay is written at the request of Nyköping municipality park management by PatRadestedt who wanted a design proposal for one of the five courtyards at the Tessin Schoolin Nyköping. The Tessin School is located 2 miles from the center of Nyköping and the schoolhouses approximately 900 students. To make a design proposal for the courtyard that lies atthe canteen I decided from the outset that I wanted to take some of the Tessin SchoolStudents' opinions and wishes regarding their own outdoor spaces. I had a workshop witheight students from the arts program with the image orientation in which they had to drawand tell them what they wanted to do in the courtyard. The outcome of the workshop, Iused to move forward in my future work with a concept that fit into the environment, wethen apply it in my final design proposal.

Redan i början av 1970-talet publicerades den första artikeln som menade att miljön skulle bliett ?vinnande koncept? för företag inom en snar framtid. Idag kan vi se att miljödebattensätter djupa spår i vårt konsumtionsmönster. När företagare väljer att inrikta sig på miljönkliver entreprenören in i bilden och identifierar och upptäcker möjligheter på marknaden.Fram till nyligen har forskningen inom miljöområdet bara fokuserat på hur man ska uppnå enhållbar utveckling, och det är först på senare år som forskare har börjat utforska entreprenörerinom området. Hittills har forskningen även fokuserat på etablerade entreprenörer och inte pådem som befinner sig vid initieringen och utvecklandet av sitt företag, så kalladeentreprenörer i vardande.

In this thesis I have decided to take a closer look into my own ?backyard?. A river that runs through my hometown, Akureyri, has been a thorn in some people?s side. Glerá river has taken lives but it has also given the town possibilities to develop.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka vilka kommunikationsstrategier som används i reklamfilmer för spelbolag samt vilka gemensamma drag och olikheter som finns i de olika spelbolagens marknadsföring då tv-reklam utgör mediet. Jag har i min uppsats besvarat följande frågeställningar:? Hur byggs reklamfilmerna upp för att locka specifika målgrupper att spela på just deras sajter?? Hur gestaltas manligt och kvinnligt i reklamfilmerna?Jag har analyserat fem reklamfilmer från fem olika spelföretag; Karamba, Maria, Jackptjoy, Vera & John samt Mr Green. Jag har analyserat reklamfilmerna utifrån begreppen: humor, metafor, ljud, bild, kvinnlighet och manlighet. Dessa begrepp är formade utifrån Jens Elmelund Kjeldsen, Maria Nikolajeva samt Ulf Dahlqvist och Magnus Lindes teorier om retorik, genusschema och reklamutformning.

AbstractOutsourcing is a business strategy that has developed over the last 40 years. Outsourcing means to let another company do some activity within the company, for example production.The thesis for this paper is: How is outsourcing used in a manufacturing company today and how is the resource efficiency affected by it? The research is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part consists of a study of literature. The works in this study is books, text books, bachelor thesis paper and scientific articles.

This thesis provides a good introduction to the American environmental certification system LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and trough compar-isons between Sweden and the United States an explanation to the systems design is given. The work is closely linked to a LEED Core & Shell project in Stockholm, Swe-den, where the goal is to reach the second highest rating in LEED - Gold.This thesis gives a broad description of the LEED system and a more profound study of the energy sector, Energy and Atmosphere. Here, for example, an analysis has been made of how the energy consumption of an imaginary building designed according to the requirements of the BBR (Swedish building code) performs in comparison to the Baseline building in LEED.The existing model of Borgarfjord 3, which served as a case study in this work, has al-so been modified to investigate the energy savings that could have been achieved by adding extra insulation to the building. A description of the problems, regarding how the Swedish district heating system (DES) is treated in LEED, is given as well as the suggested modifications. This is an issue that will be pursued during the process of shaping a new, international, version of LEED due to be launched 2012..

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka effekter luftföroreringar har på lavar och grönalger som växer på lindar, genom att jämföra lavfloran i urban miljö och i landsbygdsmiljö. Mer specifikt var syftet att utreda hur avstånd till närmaste väg, trafikintensitet och trädets exponerade respektive icke-exponerade sida gentemot en väg påverkar lavfloran i urban miljö. 18 utvalda lavarter samt grönalger eftersöktes på 86 lindar i urban miljö och 37 i landsbygdsmiljö inom Norrköpings kommun. Resultaten visade att artantalet, samt förekomsten och täckningsgraden för flertalet lavar var större i landsbygdsmiljö jämfört med urban miljö. Kortare avstånd till närmaste väg och hög trafikintensitet hade negativ effekt på flertalet lavar.

Two species of bees in the genus Apis, real honey bees, has long been of interest for man. These two are the European honey bee, Apis mellifera, and the Asian honey bee, Apis cerana. In Vietnam, beekeeping is of great importance, both with A.cerana and A.mellifera. The aim of this project was to investigate if the introduction of the European honey bee in Asia has affected the Asian honey bee, and whether different pathogens from A.mellifera have been transferred to A.cerana. Totally 40 samples, 20 from every species, were analysed for 8 different viruses.

Operabyggnaden placeras längst ut på piren och tar hela dess udde i anspråk. Operan riktar sig mot staden. Byggnadens storlek och koncept kräver viss rymd och ljus runt sig varför valet av plats blev naturligt. Den stora operavolymen skärs itu i flera delar och de olika volymerna binds sedan samman av en stålkonstruktion som på vissa ställen fungerar som ett orangeri medan den på andra ställen är en öppen pergolastruktur. Växtligheten används som ett material och ger intressanta rum, skuggspel och klimat. Orangeriet/pergolan löper igenom och runt byggnaden och såväl personal som besökare rör sig på gångar genom orangeriet/pergolan och upplever olika typer av rum, på olika nivåer. En önskan med uppdelningen i flera volymer är dels för att få in ljus på ett vackert sätt i en annars djup och mörk byggnad, dels för att försöka bryta ner skalan, samt även för att kunna ge personalen bra arbetsmöjligheter.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa vilka faktorer som ligger bakom företags beslut att själva äga eller outsourca hela eller delar av transportfunktionen. På en global marknad inser fler och fler företag att de inte besitter den kompetens som krävs i den allt tuffare konkurrensen. Det blir nödvändigt att samarbeta med andra företag för att kunna utnyttja deras kompetens och därigenom skapa konkurrensfördelar. Det har länge pågått en diskussion kring outsourcing som ett svar på detta ökade konkurrenstryck. Debatten kring in- och outsourcing har historiskt fokuserats mycket på kärnkompetens som en drivande faktor när företag ska besluta vad de själva ska producera kontra att lägga ut på marknaden.

Biodiversity consists of all life on Earth and in all forms. Biodiversity is often discussed at three levels: ecosystem, species and genetic variation within species. Biodiversity also provides many of the ecosystem services performed by nature and that we depend on, including cultural services such as aesthetic values, education and recreation. In Sweden the environmental objectives are central; there are 16 environmental quality objectives, and "A rich plant and animal life" is one of them. Conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity is a prerequisite for achieving also most other environmental objectives. Another environmental quality objective that is tied to a rich biodiversity in cities and biodiversity is "Good built environment" where cities, towns and other built environment should provide a good living habitat and contribute to a good environment.

ABSTRACTA defect implantation process is the major reason for unexplained infertility. Estrogen andprogesterone are steroid hormones preparing the endometrium for implantation. They mediatetheir effect through their receptors: estrogen receptor alpha and beta and progesteronereceptor A and B, respectively. Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), which is also important forimplantation, mediates its effect through LIF receptor and the coreceptor, gp130, and is downregulated by suppressors of cytokine signaling 1. The aim of the study was to compare thelevels of the steroid hormone receptors and LIF related factors in the endometrium of twogroups of women with the diagnosis unexplained infertility: one that became pregnant afterassisted reproduction and one that did not become pregnant.

Idag kan vi se att företag har börjat med insourcing av deras produktion till skillnad mot den trend av outsourcing som tidigare funnits. Sourcingstrategin är en viktig del för de moderna företagen för att optimera vinster och behålla ledande positioner på marknaden. Fokus har fram tills nu varit att reducera personalkostnader genom outsourcing av produktionen till lågkostnadsländer. Syftet med den här rapporten är att förstå vad det är som har förändrats i företagens sätt att tänka kring sourcingbeslut och därmed varför de börjat med insourcing. Vi har startat med att studera litteraturen om insourcing och outsourcing som finns skriven om tillverkande företag i västvärlden, och med det skapa oss en bild av vad som har influerat de här förändringarna i företagens strategier.
