För att kunna nå politiskt uppsatta nationella klimatmål för 2050 krävs en ökad användning av järnväg. Samtidigt belastas järnvägen mer och mer eftersom varor och människor reser mer och längre. Denna tendens och politikens ökade fokus på järnväg medför att järnvägen troligen kommer få en ökad betydelse inom stadsutveckling och eventuellt även ta mer mark i anspråk. Parallellt finns i Sverige en tendens till yteffektivisering där städer omvandlar ledig mark och övergivna tomter i en önskan att motverka urban sprawl. Problemet är att det kring järnväg skapas ytor som är svåra att använda.

I arbetet med att bygga den hållbara staden får komplexiteten ses som en av de största utmaningarna. I takt med vetenskapens utveckling och alla nya forsk-ningsresultat blir arbetet dessutom hela tiden mer komplext. År 2007 nåddes brytpunkten då över hälften av världens befolkning var bosatta i städer. Den glo-bala urbaniseringen förutspås accelerera ytterligare och år 2050 förväntas ca sju miljarder människor vara bosatta i urbana områden. För att finna effektiva lösningar på de enorma utmaningar detta innebär, behövs nya sätt att tänka och nya verktyg för att hantera denna komplexa verklighet. Ex-empel på sådana verktyg är olika typer av hållbarhets- och miljöcertifieringssy-stem.

The knowledge that citizens have of their own municipality is very useful for the local politicians and planners in the event of such a major reconstruction in the neighborhood. It is the residents in the area that are most affected, and their view on the reconstruction is valuable if the end result will be as good as possible. Since the municipality builds for the citizens, and wants them to enjoy the outcome of the reconstruction as much as possible, it is essential that the municipality get a chance to inspect the citizen?s views and experiences about it in an early stage. If the citizens don?t want to get involved, or if only a few people involve themselves, it will be difficult for the municipality to find a solution satisfactory to all.

Tidigare forskning visar på att många intressenter har åsikter om ämnet idrott och hälsas innehåll och syfte, såväl ur ett samhälls- som ett ämnesdidaktiskt perspektiv. Lärare i idrott och hälsa har svårt att definiera och redogöra för ämnesinnehåll, syfte och färdriktning i undervisning. Gamla ämnestraditioner lever kvar och ämnet framstår mer som ett aktivitetsämne än ett kunskapsämne. Denna studie utgörs av kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare i syfte att undersöka hur lärare reflekterar kring visioner: hur dessa skapas, hur de förmedlas till eleverna och vilket lärande som de kan stödja. I studien deltog sex lärare som undervisar i idrott och hälsa i gymnasieskolan.

My thesis is based on a qualitative study in which I have selected six professional teachers in a school in Greater Stockholm, and their views on the phenomenon of conflict management. My questions were the following.How teachers perceive the phenomenon of conflict in the world of school?What strategies do teachers use to resolve conflicts with students?In order to analyze my informants, I have chosen different books that deal with conflict man-agement, policy documents and books on the teaching profession meaning. Through my investigation I found that some teachers used tools and strategies through expe-rience and reflections, and resolve conflicts together or individually. My informants described that there are some teachers how choose to hide and pretend not to see the problem.

This thesis investigates techniques for stealth hydroacoustic communication using spread spectrum. The Swedish naval defense organisations have a vision that all their units should be able to communicate with each other, even between underwater vehicles. But the properties of water makes it a complex channel to use for wireless communications. Radiomagnetic waves have very limited range in water, therefore acoustic waves are used. In this report the basics of wireless communication systems are described including source coding, channel coding, modulation techniques as well as different techniques for spread spectrum.

The aim of the study is to examine how religion legitimates outrages and it what ways we can regard religion as politics. The study uses the theory that Eickelman and Piscatori present in their book Muslim politics. They use the term ?Muslim politics? to describe the relation between Islam and politics. Eickelman and Piscatori divide Muslim politics in five elements that the essay uses to structure the analysis.

The purpose of this thesis is, through both a quantitative and qualitative study, to map out how the interaction appears between the established parties and the radical right-wing party, the Sweden Democrat?s (SD) and their core issue ? immigration in the Swedish parliament. By applying analytical dimensions on the parliamentary protocols regarding the immigration issue between the years of 2010-2012 this study will get an insight on how the argumentation concerning immigration has developed since their entrance into the Swedish parliament in 2010. The result shows that SD, through the rejection treatment of the established parties, fulfilled the three conditions which accordingly to the study's theoretical framework are crucial for the party's future success. In the established parties? reception of SD regarding immigration, SD is, to a large extent, left unchallenged as the established parties rather focus on integration instead of challenge SD in the immigration issue.

This research focus on key groups; students with dyslexia, librarians and teachers, and interaction between these two professional groups regarding students with dyslexia. In searching for the exchange of knowledge and experience to meet dyslexic students needs, I have in this study turned the attention to librarians and their experiences with students with dyslexia.The purpose of the research has been through semi-structured qualitative interviews with four librarians, to explore and describe how they experience their work, in working with pupils with severe reading and writing problems, dyslexia, and interaction with teachers on this user group. The qualitative approach in the gathering of the empirical evidence is based on a desire to have an indepth and thoroughly understanding of the librarians experience.All informants in this study indicate that they see it as a natural part of their duty to keep themselves updated about dyslexia and what materials to suit the dyslexic user group. The informants have knowledge of dyslexia and have great knowledge and keep abreast on the latest technology of compensatory aids - alternative tools.The informants have primary a consulting and supply function for teachers and dyslexic students, where they are consulted on  suitable material in both fiction and facts in various disciplines. The informants highlights the importance of planning and preparation time to find suitable material, as audio books or easy read, so students who have a need for this also can be provided.

AbstractForskning visar att verksamheter ställs inför omfattande arbetsrelaterade problem därverksamheter förlitar sig på team för en effektiv problemlösning. Grunden för effektivitet iteamen föds då teammedlemmarna delar samma vision om det arbete som måste utföras.Studiens syfte är att få en ökad förståelse för skapandet av delade mentala modeller, genomatt undersöka teammedlemmarnas enskilda upplevelse av delade mentala modeller samtcentrala processer som gemensam meningsstruktur och kommunikation i teamets arbete medatt uppnå effektivitet. I föreliggande fenomenologiska uppsats har ett team om treteammedlemmar observerats och sedan intervjuats om deras individuella upplevelse avskapandet av delade mentala modeller. Resultaten visar att delade mentala modeller upplevssom viktig och där faktorer som aktivt deltagande, kommunikation och interaktion har storpåverkan..

Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur en stad som anordnar OS hanterar stadsutveckling. På senare tid har den Internationella Olympiska Kommittén (IOC) haft en hållning där de uppmuntrar kandidatstäder att planera för det olympiska arv som spelen medför. Det finns historiska exempel som visar att OS tidigare medfört en rad ohållbara arv, däribland underutnyttjad infrastruktur som blivit en dyr börda för skattebetalare att underhålla.Detta arbete går in djupgående på Londons värdskap av OS år 2012. Vad som gör London extra intressant att undersöka är att staden nämligen var den första värdstad som kunde planera för den IOC:s vision om ?legacy? fullt ut.

Färdplan Flen är ett utvecklingsprojekt som drivs av Flens kommun och beräknas vara klart år2019. Den negativa utvecklingen inom kommunen med ett allt mer sjunkande befolkningsantal som i sin tur genererar mindra skatteintäkter har gjort att Färdplan Flen inrättats. I projektet ligger ett antal delprojekt som bland annat handlar om ortsutveckling och där har kommunen redan börjat arbeta med Malmköping som ett första steg. Ett annat delprojekt är Flen 2019 som handlar om att Flens kommun 2012 ska vara klara med en vision som kommer att arbetas fram under 2011 och vara verkställd 2019.I dagsläget arbetas det också på att skapa mer delaktighet mot invånarna och de anställda inom kommunen. Färdplan Flen är intresserad av Open Space och ska utföra workshops med detta tema för att få in invånarnas åsikter.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how an ADHD diagnosis late in life as an adult can have effected childhood and adult life. It is a qualitative study executed by interviewing four adults, two men and two women. The individuals in the study had all experienced difficulties in their childhood and in school and had all felt different from the rest of the ambient. None of the interviewees were on medication for ADHD but most were open for trying. Support from school or other settings had been minimal.

The purpose of this essay was to do a research about if the language in Swedish role-playing books is used correctly and if the composition along with the possible language errors makes the books hard to understand.This research was also about to find out why these problems occurs and if the authors are aware of them.I choose books from two Swedish role-playing games, Eon and Drakar och Demoner. I read them trough, noted the mistakes made and put them together in a scoring table. I also did a LIX-test on the books and interviewed one of the authors.The results shows that the books to Eon is harder to read than the books to Drakar och Demoner and this agrees with the vision the authors of the books claims to have.The results also shows that it is not only the language mistakes and the composition that makes the books hard to read, but also the choice of difficult words and badly formulated rules..

This work is about the expanded conception of text and takes off in the use of this expression in the high school curriculum. The work begins with a theory chapter, where a few different definitions of text are the basis for reasoning about factors which can have contributed to an expansion of the conception. Hereby other important expressions, related to the expanded conception of text, as hypertext, multimedia and intermediality, are brought up. Further, is examined empirically how the expanded conception of text is interpreted, rhetorically and practically, by a few teachers in the High School. Finally, covered scientist?s theories are discussed and compared with the concluded empiric data.The study shows however, that the expanded conception of text in the curriculum has not become a conception for the teachers who were interviewed.
