The EU Council adopted in 2007, environmental and energy goals with the aim of them must be met by 2050. This, in combination with those of the Swedish government 15 enacted environmental goals is supposed to lead the way for the Swedish environmental work.This report has examined measures in properties in the Swedish Cooperative Housing Society (SKB) stocks.The report discusses a range of measures that might be appropriate to apply on the properties to make them more energy efficient.One of the measures discussed, the vent whose primary purpose is to create a good indoor environment for the residents but is also where the most energy is lost.Another measure discussed is insulation of the building envelope on the estate to make it more energy efficient. To put extra insulation on the building envelope is important because of the large amount of energy that is lost through the walls, ceilings and floors.Future actions that may be implemented is individual billing of heating and hot water. This system has been used in European countries since the 70's and today the EU wants to increase the own individuals control over their electricity costs. This has led to a discussion whether to implement the system in Sweden or not.However, there are a number of equitable measures to be sorted out before the system can be used in any great scale.Finally, it is important to remember that environmental measures should be the primary and the pursuit of cost reductions the secondary otherwise you risk the environmental work to be counterproductive..

The study aims to describe, compare, and analyze how managers and basic staff in disability care reflects on education and competence in the organization and from an organizational context explain how the professionalization efforts can be understood at different levels of disability care. Highlighting these questions can stimulate discussion within this field when it comes to the evaluation of competence and skills of staff working with people with various disabilities, which is also sought after in society even more today. The study is qualitative and the result is based on five semi-structured interviews with managers and basic staff in disability care. The interview questions were categorized according to the concepts that are central in this essay: competence, training, professionalism and organization.The results show that there is some doubt about what a higher competence of personnel in direct contact with the users would mean. Among the basic staff uncertainty seems to be highest.

Syftet med denna studie var att genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer undersöka hur ledarskapet ser ut som används av operativa mellanchefer på nöjesfält för att motivera de underställda medarbetarna att förmedla en hög nivå av service till gästerna de möter i sitt dagliga arbete. De respondenter som valdes ut för undersökningen arbetade samtliga på Skara Sommarland under säsongen 2012 och hade positioner som operativa mellanchefer vilka benämndes teamledare eller biträdande restaurangchef. Pupil achievement and behaviour in schools was earlier seen as given by socioeconomic and biological factors. But since the late 1970s the school effectiveness research has come to give school factors a much greater role for pupils? attainments. Research has shown that schools´ pedagogical and social climate, which is to be seen as a complex product of deeply felt values and norms held by school principals and teachers and developed through practical actions, can explain variations in effectiveness between schools. Effectiveness is here to be seen as a higher mean cognitive and non cognitive student outcome than is expected with regard to initial attainment or family background.

 The aim of this essay is to examine if the Swedish Major labels are moving towards making their catalogue available on different platforms rather than their traditional distribution of music. The new technology has really stirred things up for the major labels and file-sharing has been a problem for a long time. The labels have a history of fighting new formats instead of embracing them and listen to what their consumers actually want. We have found that the majors now are in the leading edge of music distribution due to technology and that is a first. We have focused this essay on if the consumption of music has changed the distribution of it or the other way around and found that people have changed their ways of consuming music over the years and the labels have always been forced to adapt.

This study examines whether the policy breadth and the alternatives in European politics affect variations in voter turnout between member states in elections to the European Union Parliament.The theoretical approach assumes that; a larger political polarization, an increase in EU-skeptical parties and a greater voting mobilization among groups with less means results in higher voter turnout figures. The study also consider four other variables; whether the election is held on weekends or weekdays, whether elections coincide with other national elections, whether a country has held the presidential of the EU during or the immediate term prior to the election and finally the turnout figures from national elections.The research design is based upon a quantitative analysis using data from EP elections, national elections and databases from the European Elections Studies (EES). Study unit is twelve member-state countries and their four latest EP elections (1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009). The selected member-states origin from the EU-15 excluding Belgium, Greece and Luxembourg due to their compulsory voting laws.The study found relationships between higher turnout figures in EP-elections and increase in EU-skeptical parties, greater mobilization among groups with less means, elections held on weekends, elections coinciding with other, national elections and an increase in voter figures in national elections..

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka relationen mellan de två nationella miljökvalitetsmålen, Ett rikt odlingslandskap och God bebyggd miljö. Sveriges mest högproduktiva jordbruksmark finns till stor del i Skåne. Skåne har sedan 1960-talet haft en positiv befolkningstillväxt större än resten av landet. Kombinationen mellan stor andel jordbruksmark och positiv befolkningsutveckling gör Skåneregionen intressant att undersöka. Uppsatsen görs i form av en forskningsöversikt och en fallstudie av Tomelilla tätort. Fallstudien består av planeringsförutsättningar där kommunala och regionala dokument samt lagstiftning med mera behandlas. Vidare görs en scenarioanalys genom scenariokors, en utvärdering av Tomelilla kommuns översiktsplans utbyggnadsförslag för Tomelilla tätort och en realistisk byanalys. Uppsatsen visar att det finns en vision att kombinera de två miljökvalitetsmålen Ett rikt odlingslandskap och God bebyggd miljö men att det finns en skillnad mellan vision och handling när det gäller bevarande av jordbruksmark vid bebyggelseutveckling. I detta examensarbete studeras förändringsledarskap i ett litet detaljhandelsföretag som har tagit hjälp av coachning för att genomföra förändring av organisation och ledarskap. Hur företaget kan gå vidare strategiskt utifrån coachningen har också diskuterats. Målet med förändringsarbete var att företaget ska bli mer effektivt och att medarbetarna ska ta mer ansvar och fler initiativ. De anställda önskade konstruktiva förändringar inom organisationen och företagsledaren önskade en effektiv organisation som på sikt skulle ge ett bättre ekonomiskt resultat. Företagsledaren önskade också att utveckla företaget med en ny vision. Dessutom var han intresserad av strategier för att utveckla företaget. Denna studie visar att företaget genom coachning förändrat sin organisation vilket i detta sammanhang innebär att personalen delaktighet har ökat och har numera endast en chef/ledarnivå mot tidigare två nivåer.

Teoridelen behandlar retorik (Hägg, 1998) (Hägg, 2002) och ironi (Booth, 1974) (Gustafsson, 2001), kontra- och synkroniseringspunkter (Chion, 1994) (Cook, 1981) och slutligen olika symbolers och ideograms betydelser (Liungman, 1974).Vidare presenteras problem som uppstått under arbetets gång och hur jag har valt att lösa dessa. Det ges även kortare beskrivningar av hur arbetsprocessen sett ut för att skriva en ironisk sångtext, att få en musikkompositör att förstå min vision utan att jag har kunskaper inom musikproduktion eller dess terminologi, och hur jag gått tillväga under modellering, animering och postproduktion.Texten avslutas med en diskussion där jag reflekterar över hur arbetet fungerat under projektets gång och vilka funderingar jag har över det slutliga resultatet. Slutsatsen är att ironi skapas med hjälp av att författaren lämnar ledtrådar i texten, känslan av konflikt kan skapas med hjälp av disharmoni och krockar mellan bildriktningar och att förberedelser och kommunikation är en av nycklarna till att delge utomstående en vision..

Before the European construction standards were introduced in January 2011, it was mainly themethod in BBK04 that was used for calculating punching capacity in concrete structures, and in lesscommon cases the method in BHB. The method of BBK04 is easy to use and have had the samestructure since the first was published in 1979. The Concrete handbook method (BHB) where usuallyonly used when a higher punching capacity was needed and the cross-sectional height where fixed,calculations using this method entails more work, but will in return usually give a higher capacity. Italso allows the use of shear reinforcement to increase the cross-section capacity. The method ofcalculating punching shear in EC2 differs largely from the methods of BBK04 and BHB.

This essay investigates the pupils, in Swedish upper secondary school in the greater Stockholm area, who choose to study the Russian language as a foreign language. The essay asks; who are these students, and what is motivation behind their language choice? In order to answer these two questions the essay uses both interviews and paper survey. The theoretical background ofth is essay is based on the works and theories of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, and thus the question; who are these students is aimed at the students' social and economical background in lines with Bourdieu's theories. The essay also uses the earlier study of Swedish sociologist Mikael Palme, in which he maps the different schools and programs in the greater Stockholm area, in a socio-economical context based on habitus.

Syftet med studien är att redogöra för hur några förskollärare arbetar med och resonerar kring den mångkulturella förskolan samt hur de tar tillvara på mångfalden i verksamheten. Genom att genomföra fem kvalitativa intervjuer på fem olika förskolor, en med en förskolechef samt fyra intervjuer med sex förskollärare, har förståelsen ökat för hur arbetet i förskolor kan ta sig uttryck. Respondenternas tankar om vad som kännetecknar en mångkulturell förskola har också bidraget till en ökad förståelse.Resultatet av studien visar på att majoriteten av våra respondenter inte upplever sigarbeta på en mångkulturell förskola trots att det finns barn med annan etnicitet änsvensk. Mångfald kan ses ur ett etniskt perspektiv men kan även omfattas av kulturella, religiösa och språkliga perspektiv. En tolkning kan då vara att alla förskolor är mångkulturella.

Success in treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy against different types of cancer tumors is limited by side-effects such as hearing loss which can have a large impact on the individual`s quality of life. It is of great importance to continue with studies that address this complex of problems.Objective: The aim of this literature review is to investigate the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in children and adolescents treated for different types of cancer.Method: A descriptive review of literature was made based on sources from 15 different studies on the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in the target group.Results: The survey of the studies shows that platinum-based chemotherapy causes incidence of hearing loss by differing degree in the target group. Dosage of a platinum-based substance appeared to be the most significant factor. Treatment with both cisplatin and carboplatin was more ototoxic than treatment with only one of these. Greater risk for hearing loss was to a higher degree observed in younger children.
