The problem being examined is the disturbing noise that is created in an open plan office on a company working with a creative process, such as a newspaper or a communications agency. The purpose of this study was to examine the needs for today for a sound absorber in open offices and create and design a design proposal. The aim is also to develop a marketing material the product proposal. The problem has been broken down into the following questions:- How does the user look at the need of a sound absorber in an open offices solution today?- Does an interior designer apply sound absorbers when they furnish the intended environment? - How can a design that meets the needs that exists be achieved and to speak the user?The study is based on three choice of methods a literature review on selected topics that relate to the topic, an interview with an interior designer to explore how an interior designer applies absorbers in open plan office and finally an extensive survey that treats the user's needs and appropriate appearance for the product proposal.The design process has undertaken the following methods, design brief, requirements specification, functional analysis and sketches to produce the final product proposal.

Background and problem: Since the new law took place in 1999, it has been illegal towash a car with substances that can damage the environment on a paved street or on a driveway through a garage. This has conveyed to a new industry where more and more self-service car wash facility have opened around the country. Vetlanda Vägkrog AB has since 2012 been planning to install manual self-service car wash facility at the back of their restaurant business. The authors mission was to make an analysis in order to examine whether an investment of carwashes are lucrative enough for Vetlanda Vägkrog AB.Aim: The study's main objective was to analyze the profitability of an investment in a self-service car wash facility at Vetlanda Vägkrog AB, based on given data. The authors sub-aim was to clarify which factors in general that had played the greatest part in the establishment of a self-service car wash facility.Method: The authors have used an abductive approach in order to fulfill the aim of the study.

The aim is that on the basis of interviews with personnel and clients examine whichexperiences they have of the drug abuse programme and its implementation. To be able toanswer the aim following question has been formulated: (1) What do the personnel and clientthink about the drug abuse program arrangement? (2) In which extend is the programimplemented as thought? (3) How do the personnel assesses the client?s participation? (4)How does the client?s think about their own participation in the program? (5) Do the client?sthink that the program have been helpful in their personal development? A qualitativemethod was chosen and has used a semi structured interview. Total has ten interviews beenimplemented on Rällsögården, five with clients and five with personnel. The study'sinterpretation framework builds on research around drug abuse treatment and theories andmethods that lie to shallow for the drug abuse programme.

Konsten att berätta historier med bilder och illustrationer är något som har funnits i flera tusen år. Detta kandidatarbete undersöker ämnet illustrerad narrativ och redogör olika aspekter och principer som är avgörande för att man ska kunna förmedla ett budskap med hjälp av illustrationer. Idag förknippas illustrerad narrativ framför allt med serietidningar, bilderböcker och grafiska romaner som berättar en narration i form av en serie av bilder. Under den teoretiska delen av arbetet har jag först gått igenom illustrerat narrativs historia och sedan redovisat principer för det moderna illustrerat narrativet. Jag har också forskat kring bildens kommunikativa värde och samspelet mellan bild och text.

The Swedish energy companies have several different systems for data collection of the energy consumption of their clients. Often computerized remote meter readers are put in practice in order to register the energy consumption of large companies. The majority of household clients, however, are read off by the assistance of manual methods. Household power consumption is read off once a year. As a result, these clients are not debited for their actual consumption; their invoices during the year are the result of estimations.

Quality, safe­ty and environmental care are three core values for Volvo and together they strive to give their customers the right product with the right quality.Volvo has developed a production system named Volvo Production System, VPS, and one of the pillars is continuous improvements. Within this pillar you can find value stream map­ping, which is used to analyze the value stream through the process. This tool gives a wide perspective and helps to keep focus on the entire process instead of just parts of it.Volvo Penta in Vara has earlier done value stream mapping but without good results since they didn?t take set-up times and imbalances in account.

The report describes the process of identifying the interference that exists in a newly installed automated robotic cell and suggest improvements to increase productivity. The cell is used for lifting up extruded aluminum sections onto a conveyor which deliver the material to a anodising line at a company that manufactures aluminum extrusions.To find the areas with the best possibility for improvements in the cell we used a variety of job measurements e.g. measure of standard times for each operation in the cell. The core of the report is a study of the robots.One reason for this study is that the robots do not reach the productivity they were purchased to. The main cause not reaching the productivity is the visionsystem.

AimThe purpose with this study is to evaluate the selectationprocess and what happened with Swedish basketball players born 1986-89, that were selected to participate in Miki Herkel Cup (MHC), which is a camp for the 60 most talented players in Sweden.Metod  Together with the Swedish basketball federation, we decided to survey those who attended MHC as well as the players playing in the senior national team 2009.  The data collection has been made through a survey, with multiple choice questions in order to get as good as possible view of what factors that had influenced their development as basketball players. The survey was sent out to all players born 1986-89 that attended MHC and the senior national team of 2009. We used an electronic survey tool called questback which is an internetsurvey and sent out the survey to 320 players. To collect information we´ve searched within literature and databases.Result  18 % of the players answered the survey, which decreases the research validity.

Denna rapport beskriver vårt projektarbete på ComOpt i Helsingborg. Uppgiften har varit att göra presentationer av företagets produkter. Det centrala i arbetet har varit grafisk design, i det här fallet gränssnittsdesign till de presentationer vi har gjort. I vår rapport reflekterar vi över den designprocess vi har genomgått och ställer frågor som: Vad gör en designer till en bra designer? Och: Var får vi kreativitet och inspiration ifrån? Det vi har kommit fram till är att en bra designer kännetecknas av förmågan att kunna prestera bra trots bristande resurser.

Den grundläggande inriktningen för hanteringen av dagvatten är att avvattna bebyggelsen utan att därför påverka vattenbalansen mer än nödvändigt. Med ökad hårdgjord yta ökar mängden dagvatten och med den ökar risken för översvämningar, erosionsproblem och höga föroreningshalter i sjöar och vattendrag. För att minska de problem som en ökad dagvattenmängd ger kan utjämningsmagasin anläggas. Syftet med detta arbete har varit att belysa vilka faktorer som har betydelse vid dimensionering av ett öppet utjämningsmagasin för dagvatten och hur man går till väga. Vid dimensionering är det flera faktorer som påverkar hur utformningen görs. I litteraturen finns olika lösningar på hur beräkningar kan genomföras och vilka faktorer som bör tas hänsyn till.

Det är väldigt få vårdtyngdsmätningsmetoder som är anpassade för hemodialysavdelningar i Sverige. Svenska Dialyssköterske Föreningen (SDF) genomförde 1996 en utvärdering av vilka metoder som används på hemodialys-avdelningarna i Sverige för att mäta vårdtyngd. Syftet var att bestämma vilken metod som var mest lämpad för mätning av vårdtyngd inom hemodialyssjukvård. Efter avslutad genomgång beslutade SDF att rekommendera SQUID©-instrumentet som metod. I arbetet med att ta fram en metod som ska används för att mäta vårdtyngd, är det viktigt att metoden anpassas till verksamheten så att de karaktäristiska patientkategorierna finns väl beskrivna i modellen.

This thesis has been made in cooperation with the forestry machinery producerEco-Log in Söderhamn. The focus of the thesis has been to find a cheaper wayto open the large engine hood of the company?s harvesters. The goal was tofind a solution that could increase the value for the customers by being saferand simpler to use, or, at the least, keep these values at an equal level comparedto the previous solution.In order to make it possible to CE-mark the new solution, it was importantMachinery Directive that came into effect from the beginning of 2010.To begin with, a specification of requirements was set up. Thereafter, anumber of different basic concepts was retrieved and evaluated.

Icke-kommersiella organisationer har fått en ökad betydelse för samhället vilket har medfört samhällsgranskning och kritik mot dessa organisationer. Utvecklingen kan leda till förändrade attityder för organisationerna med minskad kredibilitet som följd. Detta har en avgörande betydelse för deras utveckling och fortlevnad eftersom de interagerar med och är beroende av samhället. Ett alternativ för att bemöta den bristande kredibiliteten är Internet som via webbplatser tillhandahåller kommunikation med samhället både enkelt och ekonomiskt. Det har dock visat sig att icke-kommersiella organisationer ofta brister i uppdatering av dessa.

Äta här, sova där, promenera här, åka bil där ? arkitekturen är ständigt en manual att förhålla sig till. Vad händer om jag bara vrider på min bild av verkligheten en aning; tittar från ett nytt perspektiv? Jag blandar slump med intuition och kunskaper från egna rumsliga erfarenheter. Genom att sätta upp tydliga regler och arbeta med slumpen som verktyg tvingas jag i viss utsträckning lämna aspekter som funktion och rationalitet i det skapande stadiet.
